UP THE TABLE MOUNTAIN

You just can´t be in Cape Town and not climb Table Mountain!

There are about 5 hiking trails with a different lenght and difficulty. I choose Kasteelspoort, which should be the most scenic, but to be honest, everyone is saying something else. So just check the pictures.

The trail starts close to Camps Bay and take about 1 hour to go up. BUT! When you go up, you don´t really feel like you are on the top. Not unless you are continuing another 2,5 hours to get to Cableway.

Yes, it is also possible to go up and down by lift! I and my friend hiked all the way up and on the top of Table Mountain to Cableway. We took lift down, firstly it´s quite nice experience and - to be honest - we were already quite tired after 3,5-hour long hike. :-)

We were really curious about it and there is one thing you should know. Even if Table Mountain looks really flat from the city, it´s actually not flat at all, if you are hiking from Camps Bay side to Cableway. So don´t count with very easy walk once you get to the top. But it´s not too difficult either and still very nice.

If you are going for any hike to Table Mountain, don´t forget enough water (you will be ok with 1 liter per person) and something to dress up. Even if it´s about 27 degrees down in the city, it can be very windy and quite cold on the top.

I didn´t try any other trail so far, but they are all here if you are interested in different options.
