That’s so sick!
Yeah, I thought so too! I originally gave my sister a chibi picture of him I found online and she was like, “That’s too complicated. Just tell me his name and I’ll look for something more simple”
One quick google search later: “Ok, you’re seriously overestimating my abilities on this one” *lmao
I’m glad she decided to still make it though *haha

Don't delete it! Maybe just add a chapter that recaps the end of it? So people have some closure? And taking it out of the series is definitely a better choice. It would be a shame to delete amazing writing even if it is incomplete :(
I’m not sure how to write a summary of the end, but that’s probably the best way to go about it. Thank you, btw! You’re very sweet. You guys super made it worth it, writing fanfic, the last couple years! I was really overwhelmed by the positive response and support I got, and it really motivated me to write way more than I would have if I never posted stuff online.
@nanenna:
As someone subscribed I personally would like maybe a quick summary as a "final chapter" and then mark everything as complete, possibly with a warning about the sudden ending in a summary or description.
But hey, you do you! Go where your muse leads and take care of yourself!
Thank you for letting me know what you think! It’s always hard for me to guess what’s best or what people would prefer in this kind of situation, so I usually just like, disappear and avoid it. Not good!
An ending summary and a note in the description (plus marking it complete and removing it from the series while leaving it on ao3) is probably the best route to go.
tabascosugar:
Please don't delete stuff.
Ok! And I never had any intention of deleting things from this blog, so that’ll be here until tumblr goes down, I guess.

@tabascosugar replied to your post:
Wow… Starscream has a “scream” attack. Why did it...
He had it back in Animated, people just ignore it because…. reasons?
I remember Animated. I didn’t see that many episodes, which is probably why I thought this was the first time Starscream had this attack.
Still, with the name Starscream you’d think that attack would be more common.

@34choco said: so anyways teen allura is canon and there’s nothing anybody can do about it
I never said it wasn’t. I’m giving my own personal opinion on why I, a 17 year old girl, the same age as Lance, Hunk, and Keith, have always found Allura to be older than me. That doesn’t mean she is, it just means that I’m giving my own reasoning on why I never read her as the same age as me.
@tabascosugar said: No, I’m pretty sure Lance’s unwanted flirting is and always was creepy under any circumstance.
That’s a fair point. However, in my opinion, if she was older than him, it would appear much more casual and harmless. Again, this is just my own opinion.
Officially done talking about this. Until more information comes out, I’ll accept Allura being a teenager as canon and adjust my views on all things related to her accordingly.
#allura#voltron#discourse for ts#sorry guys this is really annoying#but i promise i won't talk about it anymore#just needed to get all my opinions out#also if you ship k@llura that's fine!! i don't ship it but there's nothing inherently wrong with it anymore so it's whatev#and if ur still cautiously shipping sh@llura that's also cool with me cause this age reveal isn't as concrete as the other ones#as in nobody asked "hey how old is allura'#but like i said i won't be posting anymore for now

tabascosugar replied to your post: Why don’t more skirts have pockets? I really wish...
The fact that she immediately runs off and is all “I must thank you for this gift while simultaneously not appreciating it and wasting your money!” drove me nuts from the first time I read it and is probably a factor as to why I’m not that big a Hikaru fan. I’m one of those people who’s always pissed off by people always leaving food on the table in movies/tv shows, too… XD
It’s kind of cute, and yes also a bit fluffy, but that’s just part of her personality. I’ve grown fonder of Hikaru over the past decade. I think I may actually manage to write her a bit more this month.
But I know what you mean.
Then again, if Fuu was totally flirting, I think Hikaru coming over to talk to her might have been the ultimate goal? Who knows. But in the end, Hikaru never does manage to thank her... or does she?

Okay. But then Naruto breaks in and tries to start a fight with like 100 shadow clones, breaks everything, and blames Kakashi, because Ramen with Iruka can't be stopped.

Not a Cloudycai shipper. AT ALL. I'm just pointing out how idiotic it is to hate on CJ "because she's dangerous". CJ is a flawed character like EVERY OTHER CHARACTER on the show. And in case you missed it, she regrets what she did. A LOT. My point was that you're judging her on standards you clearly refuse to hold other characters to, and that's completely unfair.
Look, I know a lot of characters are flawed in this train wreck of a show, but CJ has to be one of the most flawed in the whole cast. Say you were dating someone who had the power to kill you if he/she wanted to at any given moment. Would you really want to go out with him/her? That’s the situation with Cloudycai. It’s honestly for the better that the two broke up, it’s incredibly dangerous for Mordecai to be in that situation, and you wouldn’t want to be in there either, trust me.

Undyne/zen
here you go!
--
One of the mostimportant steps to becoming a master, Undyne had heard, was learning how to meditate. Shesat still on a cushion on her living room floor, gentle music playingover the sound system, and practiced breathing. In five minutes, shewas practicing screaming. She had to find an inner stillness thatshe wasn't sure existed.
Weeks of practiceamounted to nothing. She found something close to peace a few monthslater, playing a quiet song on the piano while Alphys dozed on thecouch nearby.

tabascosugar replied to your post “I’m trying to get back into writing, since I feel weird when I don’t...”
I can see their entire relationship going like this. He gets drunk, says something dumb to Alphys, Asgore proposes. Drunk, Al, he's at his wedding. Drunk, Al, adopting a kid. He isn't sure how this is happening. Asgore has that sexy dad thing going, so, ok? His kids ask for help with their homework. What? He literally does nothing and somehow he has the husband, 2.5 kids, and picket fence. Papyrus is proud of him. He's so confused.
he’s gotta stop chugging the sake from the bottle on anime movie night but alphys just gets so pissed and starts angrily demonstrating how he should be drinking it w/ her anime character themed sake glasses and it’s hilarious
she doesn’t even tell asgore herself she just relays it to undyne and sans and asgore play drunken telephone instead of directly communicating. alphys just gives up and always brings pizza to movie night as a permanent apology.
sans even sending him a drunken email directly would be healthier
one advantage is that going through two other people cuts the edges off. sans’ “sure i’d like to be a dad but yesterday i took an open bag of chisps out of a garbage can and ate the contents i don’t think it was just chips in there either” is translated to undyne as “sans says he wants to be a dad, but, um, he’s...not quite ready for the responsibility?” which then turns into “sans wants kids except he’s a COWARD” which becomes, in asgore’s head, “sans is nervous about parenting, which is understandable, because i am too”
hopefully asgore then goes and discusses his worries with a therapist because hooooo boy do he and sans have different concerns around parenting and eventually he’s like “if you’re ready to be a father, sans, then i believe i am ready, too.”

that’s sensible! grillby sets up some outdoor seating and they all hang out there during grillby’s break sometime, maybe??
@breannajj said:
Why not just put grillby sitting in a fireplace?
He likes it in there. It feels...safe. Toriel and Sans think he must be running late until they notice a pair of glasses + tie floating in the fireplace.

Happy Birthday! Sans birthday headcanon: for various time/gaster shenanigan reasons, doesn't actually remember how old he is, just that he's old enough. He doesn't even care anyway. He's one of those people you can know for years before it occurs to you, "Oh snap! When is his birthday?" And then he takes great pleasure in changing the subject/ignoring people when asked so it becomes a source of irritation for all involved. Papyrus refuses to admit he doesn't know either, and is of no help.
i really like sans not telling people when his birthday is because it annoys them. it’s so...needlessly secretive when he could just make up a date, but it’s just too funny how irritated people get.
Toriel REALLY wants to bake Sans something. And she has SO MANY IDEAS for pun themed gifts and gyftmas really isn’t enough to express all of them.
I’m imagining everyone just being like “ok thursday’s sans’ birthday so there” and he goes along with it because, well, what the hell? a cake’s a cake. after that papyrus just decides that day was always Sans’ birthday and they have it the same day every year from them on.

Grillby, when you pay a sky writer to post a recipe over someone's house you have gone too far
tabascosugar said:
Grillby has a midlife crisis at one point after seeing sans eat literal garbage and appear to enjoy it. He wonders if his food is actually any good. The cheese fries remain the same. Was it ever good? He eats the fries. Did it get worse? He eats more cheese fries. He watches other people eat the cheese fries? He eats the cheese fries and wonders. Papyrus comes and drags him out of the bowling ally one night. He’s eaten too many cheese fries.
tabascosugar said:
Sans watches sadly, wondering how he can possibly help his husband, eating cheese fries.
Grillby is trapped in a prison of his own making. The bars look like fries, the ceiling drips with tasteless greasy orange cheese goo. Sans hangs out with him in there like “hey why don’t you get the hot wings this time. you liked those right.” Grillby just shakes his head.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO AN EXCELLENT WRITER!

"Happ birth" as they say!! cant think of any hcs right now unfortunately but still
You’re all very nice. ;_; Thank you.
Yesterday was good! Everyone got me wine and outdoor lights? Is that what happens in your mid thirties? It’s kitchenware in your early thirties and then it switches to outdoor lighting when people start to worry about you falling on your ass in the dark from all the wine gifts they got for you?

tabascosugar replied to your post “should i sign up for the secret santa this year? i’m behind on...”
It sounds fun, but only if you're sure you can enjoy it without causing yourself undue stress. You need to take care of you first.
Yeah, it’s tough to decide, but it looks like signups are open for a little while, so maybe I’ll have a better idea of how I’m going to feel in a week.

Poor, poor Grillby. He has to deal with moving to a new place when he doesn’t want to, really, and now he ALSO has to deal with Sans being his friend.
@gossyreblogs reblogged this from it-refused:
#omfg sans marshmallows seriously??#wow#in all seriousness though#this whole thing makes me happy#I'm really glad you decided to explore the setting a bit more because this is great#I don't know why but stories actually focusing on older people and their continuing lives tend to lie close to my heart#it's not that they can exactly hit close to home I'm not even 21 yet but#something#they're important okay and I'm always glad to see more of them in the world# mean I guess I have (and have had) family members in these situations and I care about them#and I know (hope that) I'll be there too eventually#and I grew up reading Discworld which kind of undermines the 'young and virile protagonist' mold in several cases#so it's not exactly a *mystery*#I actually honestly have to wonder why this stage of life isn't explored more thoroughly in fiction to my knowledge#I mean we certainly seem to have a morbid fascination with exploring our mortality on plenty of other fronts#and with *defying* our mortality or searching for the life and joy in spite of it on several other fronts#but less so on this one...? for some reason...?
Stories like that are kind of around, but hard to find? Somehow I ended up reading a lot of stuff with older people having fulfilling and exciting lives when I was a kid, but it was still a drop in the bucket compared to the other stuff I read. My mother reads a lot of books in the uh mystery cozy genre (that’s what she calls them?), so they were always around growing up and i would read anything around, and there were a lot of them about older people who were solving mysteries. They were divorced or widowed, usually. There was one where the main character was a woman who had been a guy’s mistress in a long term affair for a large portion of her life, which is an interesting and morally complicated character to have as your lead. Maybe Miss Marple opened the gate for stories about older people in the mystery genre? I dunno. I also watched “Waiting for God” and “As Time Goes By” as a kid and both of those had romances involving older people, which is probably where I started to find it so romantic to tell stories about people not giving up on living their lives and finding new love even at what is considered to be the end.
Anyway, I’m very happy that you’re enjoying it! I wrote a bit more of this thing a couple days ago, but I’m trying to decide right now if I want to see if I can finish it up (i don’t want it to be super long) before I post any more.

Yeah :( In this fic, they both had very full lives with lots of friends and family, but...
It would’ve actually been interesting too if I wrote this so that they were good friends all these years, but there’s no escaping that having them get together at this age means they missed out on years of time they could have spent together romantically. Always going to be a little sad.
