How to be cringe achievement already accomplished by cinematography giants after 2019 with Netflix assistance(not all of movies r bad ofc)
ITS LITERALLY THE BOTTOM GIIIIRRRLLLLL, after all ur a sublime enjoyer cmooonn, don’t be like that lololol
Okay lololololol girllll
So, the Lorax is a movie produced by Illumination Entertainment which has never ever produced a single good movie. Illumination Entertainment doesn’t care about animation, this studio merely cares about money which is a big Mickey Mouse disease in the film industry.
But since you think this movie is so wonderful, let’s look at it, shall we?
Okay, so The lorax more professionally explores sensitive topics than 99% of modern movies from Hollywood lmao. Uhm…ever seen this commercial?

Guys, thank god, the new Mazda is Lorax approved??? I don’t know what I would’ve done without that information…
Hm, okay, well, a car commercial isn’t the movie and a car commercial cannot speak for the movie (a movie that is about saving the environment ❤️), so I suppose let’s look at the story?
After all, The lorax more professionally explores sensitive topics than 99% of modern movies from Hollywood lmao.
So, the main character’s motivation for doing anything is…to impress a girl…okay, well maybe he cares a lot about the environment since this movie is very professional at exploring sensitive topics…
Okay so the bad guy…this guy:
Tumblr media
Is neither threatening nor really representative of what a person consumed with capitalist ideals and greed is really like. He isn’t funny, brilliant, scary…he’s boring and can’t sing. That’s literally all there is to him. Well, but how good the story and the characters are shouldn’t influence the message, right? Sensitive topics, that’s what we’re going for.
Okay, well he may not be a real threat to the protagonist or his goals but the Once-ler is the actual bad guy here, right? Well, rather than keeping the mystery of who the Once-ler is, thus showing us that the Once-ler could be anybody, thus making us realise that anyone could be responsible for the damage caused to the environment, this movie decided to blame the Once-ler’s actions on his family and their manipulation…Hmm…weird message…I don’t…really…
Well, but in the end they plant the tree! Which is amazing! Which is brilliant! The ending is positive! Kids, everything is gonna be good! Hm…wait, is it really that smart to make an optimistic ending about climate change and saving the environment, something that is so crucial to our future…? Is it really that smart to totally murder the urgency of this issue when we let the movie end with a definite “everything’s gonna be fine, we planted one tree! :)”?
Hm, I don’t think so but if you think The lorax more professionally explores sensitive topics than 99% of modern movies from Hollywood lmao, then sure girlll, I rather stick to my “cinematography giants after 2019 with Netflix assistance” (I didn’t know that the amateur crew of Everything Everywhere All at Once got help from Netflix 🤭).
