I LOVE the idea of being the only one that can control Art- or at least keep him controlled for the time being. It's TRUE 👏 Put these touch-starved, connection-starved, attention-starved, love-starved guys near Anyone that can provide that and they are going crazy. (I don’t think this was an official request but I really wanted to write headcanons for it anyway lmao)

When Fuuta has a crush/partner he’d (unknowingly) follow them around like a little puppy – he usually prefers online connections and avoids people in public, so he’s not used to enjoying in-person company so much. Though he’ll always speak up with his intense opinions, he starts initiating tons of conversations with that person, even about calm or meaningless topics. He just wants to be around them, he just wants to talk. He’s also not used to a lot of physical touch in any form, so he goes wild trying to get a chance to connect (intricate rituals and all that), but then the minute he comes in any sort of contact, he’s flustered enough to short circuit. He becomes a hundred times more competitive with them around, willing to push himself to his limits just for the chance of maybe impressing them. It doesn’t matter that he’d never flat-out admit his feelings – finding someone that makes him feel that way makes him Completely obsessed. 

When Mikoto has a crush/partner, the puppydog metaphor still works lmao. Mikoto’s always been friendly and touchy, and he becomes even moreso when there’s someone he likes. He’s usually good at dividing his attention and making sure everyone is happy, but it starts becoming clear to everyone that his attention is definitely favoring one person. The other big sign is that he leaps into Service Mode. Do they need help with that? Maybe they want someone else to take some of the load? Maybe he should surprise them with a little extra favors done around? What if they were big favors, too? Mikoto tells them all the time how much he cares about them, never shying away from a sappy love confession. The real clue that he’s in deep is he starts opening up about other things – not necessarily the big things he has on lockdown, but small moments of need/sadness/shame he’ll start to blurt out to them. (Whether they want to or not lol,) they become the person who knows him better than anyone else.

miko is SO REAL for that, two switches fighting over who gets to dom is the best dynamic. if you have time/want to i'd be curious to hear any sub headcanons you have for lisa, ei, ningguang and/or kafka!

this is so incredibly self indulgent because i see ningguang, ei and kafka in the same sentence and explode. everyone pretend i didnt accidentally pick a fav here um

ningguang i already see as a pillow princess more than anything she fits this so well. absolutely adores going slow + worship. treat this woman like royalty and lord you will not regret it. she goes all out to make the night as perfect as possible. will not let you have a hand in any of it sorry!! this is her turf. perfect atmosphere suited to your tastes (tons of candles, if you like that, or just going by moonlight is also her style). incense, taking a few minutes beforehand just to really get settled in the mood (usually by cuddling, but shes not against just taking a moment for some tea or even a game of chess).

you'll also probably need all that extra time to sort through whatever shes bought this time. when i said she goes the whole nine yards i mean it. she has money and she will use it. very expensive lingerie for herself (and you, if thats your thing.) and literally anything you could ever want. it heavily depends on what you both want out of the night but she spares no mora making it the best she can.

the non-sexual intimacy before hand (and especially after) is important to her she takes it very seriously (for the both of you). you'll probably get dragged into taking a long bath afterwards before actually going to bed. hope you arent too tired! because its gonna be a while before you actually sleep.

because this woman has stamina. technically. she's just really pent up and theres no better way to get that stress out then soft sex with her partner. shes not picky about positions really but she has a soft spot for laying on her stomach with a pillow to prop up her hips (really accentuates the pillow princess part, huh /j). if you start massaging her she's gonna wake up the entirety of liyue. she's normally quiet but lord knows she needs it and she cant keep quiet for the life of her.

genuinely just very soft and gentle. she just needs some good pampering after a long day to unwind (preferably with a glass of wine, but thats for later).

ei..is very awkward about it. she probably gets embarrassed if you bring it up but shes not. opposed per se. she's just used to domming that she has no idea what to do. genuinely a mess the first time around but she gets the hang of it quick (shes a quick learner :])

also you just really get to see a side of her you usually never do! she's usually big on topping and shes pretty calm and composed about it (usually). not cold, just..she doesn't outwardly express things often. except when shes subbing. its like a switch flipped

just dont tease her about how visibly flustered and awkward she is about it. because she is. horribly so. shes still pretty quiet but thats just ei, to be fair. its like a cute, nervous puppy. call her a good girl though and she might short circuit so badly the shogun comes out

though i also see ei as someone who prefers giving even when subbing. a dangerous combo considering her body is a puppet and, yknow, cant get tired. you will have to pry this woman off you shes lowkey insatiable when it comes to pleasing you. 100% less of a brat, though. you give her an order shes following through with it before you can blink. efficient!

kafka is similar to miko, imo. maybe yelan too?? she gives off big brat vibes when she subs. she wont use suggestion in bed unless your 100% cool with it and even then its usually when she doms but when she subs? shes a menace. bit of a masochist, to be honest. she'll push your buttons until you crack and decide to punish her but woops, thats just what she wants so she wins anyway!

she cant feel fear but she certainly enjoys a good thrill. specifically sensory deprivation. cover her eyes with a blindfold and keep her guessing. its probably her favorite part, the closest she can get to fear. especially if you add a bit of pain into it.

choking, spanking, bit of blood..this woman is smiling through it all like she's the happiest woman in the world. especially if it makes you frustrated. shes like it desperate and rough.

if thats not your speed, though, she can get that thrill in other ways. semi public sex is her jam so sandwich her against a wall in some random supply closet and make her scream. shes not quiet even in the comfort of whatever room shes booked this time and you'll have to physically shut her up if you dont want to get caught. shes still a brat at heart, though. put your fingers in her mouth and she'll bite. your gonna need the patience of a saint to dom kafka.

now i'm FASCINATED by the implied dynamic of nagato (the ex-experiment obito sorta mentored on how to rinnegan + the ways of pain - hehe) + sakura (current experiment, obito mentored on how to mokuton + the ways of peace and forgiveness) lol

The comparison came as a surprise to me, but it's actually really important.

Obito has caused a lot of harm in his life. He's hurt a lot of people. He took the philosophy that pain creates more worthy people, inflicted a great deal of pain on innocent kids, and created children who worship pain and suffering. Obito was lucky enough to see the end point of this - that it would end in failure, death, and worst of all a Naruto monologue - and he broke away from it. But Obito is still the person who did those things, so he just decided to do a 180. If suffering doesn't create good people, then maybe the absolute absence of suffering does. If traumatized people create plots for world peace that destroy the world, maybe untraumatized people will create plots for world peace that will save it. It is the same basic philosophy, the same basic idea, the same basic tendency to manipulate people and use them as tools in convoluted schemes. The passing on of ideals, the training in their unique powers, the bestowing of authority while setting himself up as always the greater authority - it's not actually different.

But Obito changes. Turns out that creating a good person will create a person who will ask you to be good - a person who will make you want to be good too. Sakura's life without strife and hurt created a girl who thinks the world ought to be fair, and that she'll be the one to make it fair - and if she has to make you be fair too, then so be it. Obito was un-insane'd, and Sakura herself pushed him to become a better person, and he was finally able to view Sakura as a little girl instead of a tool. But, um, bad news, the old tools are still running around trying to blow up the world, and even if there's no redeeming yourself there's still responsibility. Obito, you might have to deal with that.

Nagato and Konan are the same kind of crazy as Obito, unfortunately, so they completely see his vision and decide that he's right. This little girl WILL be the key to world peace, she is obviously SO qualified to lead a village, let's make world peace HAPPEN with this baby that carries a hope for the future. I think they probably see Yahiko and their younger selves within her, so I think they're a bit more encouraging and supportive of her than they otherwise would be. They also know that 'Madara' with unrestrained access to a small child is a combination that leads to a very traumatized child, so they can be protective of her even against 'Madara'. The idea of them trying to protect her from the person who cares about her the most, because that one person was so shitty to them, made me sad.

But the idea of Konan asking Sakura to call her oneesan was insanely cute so it all evens out in the end. Thanks for the ask!

So. Cat came out, I feel like Kazui ALSO wants to come out, and I need to talk about it.

(Spoilers for Cat) (Also TW: suicide mention)

First off, the style of the MV was great! Kazui going full crazy at the end was so cool. The song was a banger (as always). Now that we know he was a cop, some of his actions inside the prison make sense, like protecting the attacked prisoners, and trying to punch Es in the first trial.

My main guess now, going by enerything we have (MVs, VDs, Timelines) is that Kazui is a closeted gay man (or maybe aro/ace), and never had any real love or attraction towards his wife, only platonically at most. On the VD he says "I can't live unless I lie. That's how I was born...", and seeing as Japan has some big problems with homophobia, this really strikes off as him trying to hide this side of himself so that he can live a peaceful, "normal" life.

In that one timeline with Yuno and Mahiru, they asked about his preferences, and then after he answered Yuno said that was total bullshit. What other reason would he have to lie about his relationship preferences?

Also, "Cat", or "Neko", is a slang used by gay people in Japan to refer to bottoms or submissive gays.

The white dove represents his marriage, since he transformed his marriage ring into the dove (right before doing an "I Love You" reference). That scene of him eating the bird can be interpreted as him finally telling the truth to his wife, who he really is, and suggesting a break or a divorce, ruining/destroying their marriage.

By what he said in the VD, Kazui didn't cheat, or at least it didn't reach that point. He also said that we didn't find out his true crime/sin, since our base assumption was cheating. He also said that she died when he stopped lying. Of course, these could be more of his lies, but assuming they aren't. The only thing that I can think of, that would make her so desperate to jump off the balcony, is that his love never existed in the first place.

So what happened, in summary, was: He married his partner in the police, Hinako, to try having a normal life and conform to society. The marriage was a lie to him, but it was real for his wife. He tried to repress that side of him, hoping it would go away, but those feelings he repressed only got stronger, until he realized he couldn't keep lying forever, and decided to ask for a divorce, coming out to his wife, before he reched the point of cheating. His wife got upset, as seeing that their relationship was a lie, that he never truly loved her like she loved him, and jumped off the balcony.

But there are still a lot of questions that weren't answered.

If he didn't cheat, WHO IS BAR GIRL?? Is she important? If she is, why didn't she appear in the new MV? Is she even REAL, or is she a fabricated memory, or an idea, or a metaphor??

Is that guy in the wedding really the bartender from half? If he is, that means he is important, somehow. Was he his childhood friend? Does Kazui have a crush on him? If so, in bar girl scene, was Kazui actually flirting with the bartender before she arrived? Is he the same man he was arguing with in that scene from half?

For now I'm planning to forgive him, but is that really the best choice? It appears that, when we forgave him in T1, nothing really happened, because we actually forgave his persona, the lies about himself, instead of his actual true self. If he wants us to expose his lies, maybe an unforgiving veredict would be what he wants?

But also, if he is unforgiven, he won't be able to help defend other prisoners from attacks. We need to be careful when voting, as Milgram is starting to look like a strategy game where the goal is keeping all of them alive.

Anyways, going to listen to Cat for like. 3 days straight. Or 3 days gay, if that fits the theme better.

-THEY BOTH LIKE ART!!!! haruka liking art & drawing is a hc of mine that i adore... and mikoto canonically likes art, but feels that he isnt good at it. at first he watches haruka draw and praises him and then one day haruka asks mikoto to draw him something, mikoto is like "oh im not that good of an artist actually..." but then picks up the pen and haruka is MESMERIZED by mikoto's art he's like. Oh my god. Please teach me. You're an amazing artist.... and Mikoto is really surprised because no one ever praised his art like this before. And he already sees Haruka as a great artist so he feels really encouraged to draw again. and they both spend a lot of time drawing together....

-mikoto likes sketching more & is great at it, but haruka likes painting more & is great at it, so sometimes mikoto will sketch something and haruka colors it, and the other way around if they wanna experiment. and they give each other tips (Haruka is very shy to give mikoto tips but mikoto is like " I'd love to hear your opinion on my art, i want to paint more like you!!! youre so good at it!!!" and haruka is just like :D !!!

-remember from the 0105 platonic hc post that, in my post milgram AU, shidou drives haruka home from school. If Haruka doesn't walk with the other 3 prisoners who are in school, Mikoto takes him on his bicycle and drives him to school in the morning before cycling to work!!! i like to imagine sometimes fuuta has morning lectures so he joins them (fuuta is tiny enough that there won't be a space problem i Think but they'll still be kinda squished on each other ahhaha) and the bicycle ride is disastrous because mikoto and fuuta are bickering while haruka is holding onto mikoto for dear life LMAO

-speaking of cycling since mikoto likes to cycle. he teaches haruka!!! haruka is always very scared if he'll fall but mikoto is patient with him, reassures him that the safety gear is there for a reason (Mikoto has no plans of letting haruka get hurt, he always makes sure haruka is wearing safety gear when he's a total beginner) and is encouraging haruka when he makes even the smallest progression!!! like haruka could cycle for 3 seconds and mikoto is like "LET'S GOOOO YOU DID IT IM SO PROUD OF YOU" and goes to high five haruka and hug him

-sometimes the evening or night time makes haruka feel down & scared or have a lot of intrusive thoughts or nightmares, it's been a thing since he was in the real world but its more frequent and harsh in milgram so he goes to mikoto's room with his plush and just lies down next to him while mikoto is doing whatever he's doing. often when haruka does this he will end up falling asleep next to mikoto in his bed and mikoto tucks him in and sleeps next to him and holds haruka if he wants to be held. mikoto really feels protective over haruka especially when he's resting, like anyone could be entering the room and mikotos like " be quiet... haruka is sleeping!" :'3

-speaking of harukas bunny plush, he really REALLY doesnt like anyone touching it without permission (the autistic urge to gatekeep the comfort item) and mikoto understands when he asks haruka if he can touch his plush and haruka just., *shakes head nervously* but soon haruka allows him to and mikoto is delighted that haruka trusts him enough to let him interact with his comfort item!!!!

-haruka really likes mikoto's hair and one day he's like "mikoto-san, I want to dye (well... bleach) my hair too someday" and mikoto gets really excited and they talk about what colors they could dye haruka's hair when they get out of milgram :D

-haruka always "heard" of john but he actually sees john for the first time after mikoto's guilty verdict in t2, and rightfully so hes very scared of him, but when he tries to approach mikoto on his birthday in 2022 (haruka was the first and only person to approach mikoto without bad intent ever since he got the guilty verdict and i cannot stop thinking abt that), he asks mikoto about what's been happening to try and understand and mikoto just. he tries his best to be strong but haruka can see that mikoto himself has no idea what's going on and is close to breaking down. haruka just hugs him gently, gently enough so mikoto can refuse the hug if he wants, but mikoto doesnt. haruka does his best to comfort mikoto from his guilty verdict, even though he doesnt really understand. all he knows is that his friend is a good person and he wants to comfort and understand him the best he can. and then at one point haruka approaches mikoto to try and talk to him and john is fronting!!!

-so this is like harukas first time actually interacting with john. hes like Oh no. i came to talk to my friend but now hes in the Scary state (he doesnt know yet what DID is) what do i do im scared. but he actually tries totalk to john. and john is surprised that haruka, although scared of him, actually tries to talk to him and understand him. john tries to calm himself to not scare haruka further and they have a long talk, mainly haruka trying to understand john. they get closer after this

-at one point john just asks. hey why are you still trying to approach me. I'm scaring everyone off and ruining your friend's life you should be scared of me. you should be viewing me like a monster. but haruka out of everyone understands what it feels like, being viewed as a monster for a mental condition. its why he's in milgram after all. and he realizes just how similar him and john are and hes like "..uh uuh. nobody should be viewed as evil for being mentally distressed right?" and him and john both start to see some positives in themselves, haruka because "hey if my friend is a good person even though he gets scary (when john fronts) maybe i can be a good person too." and john for a similar reason because "hey if this kid here has allegedly committed a murder too but can still be so nice (probably the only nice person to john) maybe i can still have a chance to Not ruin mikoto's life"

-ohmy gosh im so sorry I spoke too much righ t aaaa.... so sorry... but john feels protective of both mikoto and haruka after this. 0109 siblings are the realest ever and i have more abt haruka and john but ill stop here hehe I hope you like these!!!

What are the executions in LCSYS like? How is Es fooled?

Ahh so I’ve actually thought of this a lot! I didn’t want to include anything specific in the fic yet because I wanted to wait for more canon setup, but that certainly hasn’t stopped me from playing through scenarios in my mind all the time asdfdsf…

Most realistically, in a break between trial three and final verdicts, each of the prisoners records a video of them in an electric chair. Since the prisoners aren’t trained actors well versed in death scenes, it gives them several takes and director’s comments to come up with convincing fear, pleading, and cries of pain. Add in some flashing lights and electricity buzzing, and it can cover up any sign of acting. Of course real electric chairs aren’t flashy like that, but I doubt a fifteen year old who is rapidly realizing they just killed someone is going to be considering that the lights and sounds are just for show (plus being in Milgram where so many things are done with odd theatrics). Es makes their decision from a little room by themself, and must watch on a "live security feed" as the prisoners are led into the room "next door" to face their fate.

Since they can’t be 100% sure who Es will forgive, everyone must film one. A few of the prisoners hang around the tiny recording room, offering support and encouragement, and watching the final product back to compliment the actor, but some are too disturbed to stay long / specific friends are too much to handle. Yuno is perfectly composed during everyone else’s, but hearing Mahiru scream shakes her. Fuuta teases Kotoko nonstop about hers, but doesn’t show up on her filming day. Muu is the one telling everybody this type of acting is no different from the mv acting, and ends up breaking down during Haruka’s. Everyone shows up to Amane’s to give her support, but hers really gets to all of them.

The extra angst version (which is a bit harder to swing in my mind because of the prisoners’ lack of acting training) is the same except Es really is in the room with them, able to talk a bit first. They announce the verdict and get the prisoner's live reaction, whatever it may be. It’s way more personal because the prisoners are able to address/accuse/plead with them directly, and this time Es is forced to throw the electric switch with their own hands.

Though the au overall is heavy on the fluff and fix-it, this is the moment where I let myself lean into the angst. The prisoners know how cruel it is to put Es through this, but they must finish the experiment or it will all be for nothing. They have to justify to themselves why it's alright to make Es face such a deeply traumatizing lie, or they try to convince themself that they'll be forgiven no matter what, so there's no lie involved. They study Es' reaction to their deaths, going through a million emotions -- anger than Es would kill them, peace that the reaction proves how much Es cared, but above all, immense guilt that they're putting Es through all this pain.
