It’s Over
For @band--psycho‘s bingo challenge. The prompt is enemies to lovers. Pairing is Tig x Reader
Note: (S/N) = sister’s name
Tumblr media
“It was my sister,” you said coldly as you packed your bag.
Flashback
You’d just come back from a week long conference, Tig said he’d be on the road doing club stuff so timing couldn’t have been better. Everything went amazingly well, from your presentation to the doors that had opened for you and your career. Hell you could count the times someone told you to call em if you’re interested in a specific job. You’d done some light research and seen that most are out of state near the Maine area of the U.S. And while that seemed all well and good, you couldn’t just leave the family you’d made behind.
You were making Tigger’s favorite, ready to surprise him by taking it to the shop with promises of play time later. You loaded up the food into your car and made your way to T.Ms a happy grin on your face feeling giddy with all the pent up energy from not having seen your old man in a solid week. Yea there were calls but that shit ain’t the same.
You went through to the office waving at the boys as you passed by. You pressed a kiss to Chibs’ and Happy’s cheeks in greeting as you passed them by batting their hands away from the lunch bag.
“Nu uh,” you said with a grin, “This one is not for you. But let me know what you want me to bring for Sunday dinner and I’ll do my best. By the way have you seen Tiggy anywhere?”
The boys nodded happily but stilted at the question.
“He’s in the back,” Chibs said with a grin.
You noticed he didn’t look quite as teasing as he should have been but chalked it up to jet lag from the bike trip.
Happy didn’t look much better. You were sure if looks could kill someone would be dead with how cold and hard his eyes were.
“Come on little girl I’ll take you,” Happy said with a small smile.
“Lemme put this in tha lounge aye?” Chibs said reaching for the bag.
You furrowed your brows at them and the sudden odd behavior but gave Chibs the bag. You’d never needed any of the boys to take you to the back...
Happy didn’t say much on your way and you were going to say something when you heard moaning and heavy breathing.
You looked to Happy who nodded forward.
You walked up quietly hoping it was one of the prospects getting handsy with a crow eater. Your hopes were dashed at seeing Tig on a chair a woman bouncing on his lap. You covered your mouth to keep from gasping at who it was exactly that was on his lap. Your sister...
You made your way out to where Happy stood a sad look in his eyes.
You pulled out your phone and text widow, ‘Are there cameras in that room?’
You showed him the message and nodded as he confirmed it.
‘Get me a copy of that and make sure her face is visible,’ you typed in.
Happy looked at you startled, he’d never seen you so dead seat on something.
You turned around walked back into the room and took a picture of the deed tearful eyes cold and heart dead.
That done, you turned around and left. Out in the front, Happy and Chibs waited for you both concerned as they looked you over.
You took a seat in the lounge both boys at either side.
“Are ya gonna wait on ‘im?” Chibs asked quietly.
You shrug really not knowing what to do before sighing.
“Is it ok if I crash at either of you apartments?” You asked.
Happy nodded quietly, considering he never uses the place.
“I’ll help ya with your stuff,” Chibs said with a nod.
“No you won’t,” you say with conviction, “Despite everything going on between us now, he’s still your brother.”
“Yea...but if looks could kill he’d be dead,” Happy said with conviction.
You’d become family in the near 5 years you’d been with Tig. You meant a lot to them, even the prospects.
“I promise to keep in touch,” you say taking their hands in each of yours.
They nod and stand one to punch out the other to work the ladder not at all happy with how things ended.
As soon as Happy stepped out to punch out your sister walked out Tig not too far behind her.
“(Y/N)! You’re home!” Your sister said excitedly moving to hug you.
You kept your distance avoiding her hurt look and before she could say anything, you pulled out your phone showing her the picture you’d just taken.
(S/N) paled at the image.
“It’s not what you think,” she said voice shaky.
“No you’re right....him and I was not what I thought,” you said voice hard.
She shook her head pleadingly at that but before she could say anything...
“Baby!” Tig cried walking around (S/N) to envelope you in his arms.
You felt sick as he hugged you knowing where he’d been. It also didn’t help that (S/N) had been exactly were.
“You ok?” He asked when you pulled away, “Did something happen?”
‘Yea you dick you cheated on me with my sister,’ you thought but shook your head and left without a backward glance Happy hot on your heels.
You were heaving from how angry and ready to break you were. Happy saw this and gently held you in place.
“Breath,” he said lowly as you both heard Tig yelling at Chibs.
“I can’t,” you said as tears fell.
“Chibs is being a door stop,” Happy said looking over your shoulder, “But if you wanna leave...”
“We leave after I do this,” you said and walked to Tig’s bike.
You saw the men freeze as you looked at the bike a not so friendly look on your face.
Before Happy could do anything, you pulled out the knife Tig had given you for Christmas and slashed his tires making sure to leave the knife imbedded in the second tire.
You turn around to see a shocked and mouth agape Happy.
“Ok...Now I can go,” you said and walked away to your car.
You were stopped by your crying sister throwing her arms around you as she cried, “(Y/N) please!”
You pushed her off roughly not ready to deal with her yet and ran to your car.
You’d not sooner gotten in you car that you heard Chibs called out, “Move over lass! Ya ain’t in na condition to be drivin’.”
You were about to say no but was pushed to the passenger seat by the Scott.
“Lemme drive lass, Hap’s holdin’ on ta Tig while ya make yer getaway,” he said with a small laugh as he remembered you’d slashed the bike tires, “Granted he won’ be goin’ nowhere on flat tires.”
Back at home, Chibs found empty boxes to start putting your things in as you told him what belonged to whom while you packed away your clothing.
~End Flashback~
“What the hell man!” You heard Tig yell at Chibs who was loading up the last of two boxes that held your things.
“Babe–”
“It had to be my sister,” you said not turning around continuing to pack your bag.
“Babe please!” He said desperately, walking to where you were and taking things out.
You slapped his hand, hard, and repacked the clothing he’d taken out.
“And before you start, I saw you don’t give me the “it’s not what you think” crap,” you say as you packed up the last of your clothes.
“It didn’t mean anything!” He yelled.
“It meant enough for you to throw away 5 years together Alexander. Five fucking years I gave to you only to have it thrown in my face cuz my bitch ass of a sister made her cunt available to you while I was away for work,” you yelled turning to look at him, “And the worst thing is that I have no fucking clue how long this has been going on.”
Tig lowered his gaze and scuffed at the rug with his boot.
“How long Alexander?” You asked not really wanting to know the answer.
“A month...” he mumbled out.
Chibs walked in just as Tig answered the question and looked at his brother in disbelief.
“You sack o’ shite!” He yelled and punched Tig in the face, “You cheated on the best thing that has happened to ya with ‘er sister for a month! What was it Tig!? Was it the fresh pussy? That she was there? What the FUCK was it Tig!?”
“I don't know!” Tig yelled out as Chibs punched him while he was down, “I don’t know. She came onto me one night I’d mixed two drinks too many and next thing ya know I woke up with her on me.”
“Did it never make you stop and think to come clean!?” Chibs yelled.
“Dude she made me swear not to,” Tig said letting Chibs wale on him for the answer.
You on the other hand stood frozen as everything came to light.
“She made you swear because of (S/H/N),” you said quietly.
Chibs turned to look at you questions in his eyes.
“(S/N)’s husband is in the military and is diploid,” you said looking at Chibs, “She’s always been a horny bitch, sad she couldn’t just fuck a prospect and had to go for what wasn’t hers.”
Chibs approached you and nodded to the bags behind you on the bed.
You nod and he takes them to the car.
“At least now I'm free to fuck any son I want,” you say cruelly, “Because now nothing is sacred, and that is on you. Enjoy the crows Alex, maybe they’ll help you forget about me.”
“But baby I love you!” He yelled after you.
You scoffed and said, “If you did you’d have come to me as soon as it happened. Not gone back for more....fuck you Alexander Trager and hope that this doesn’t make it’s way over seas.”

Music Tag
Rules: Put your music on shuffle and you write down the first ten songs and then you tag twenty people.
Loving this! Thanks for the tag, @woodbridgewrites!
1) “Sin” by Nine Inch Nails (Pretty Hate Machine is one of my favorite albums of all time.)
2) “Invoke” by T.M. Revolution (From the anime Mobile Suit Gundam Seed. That show had the BEST openings and endings.)
3) “Unspoken” by Lacuna Coil (Amusingly enough, I was just talking to @woodbridgewrites about the awesomeness of this band. The vocals are fantastic, but the music is also top-notch.)
4) “Must Get Out” by Maroon 5 (Songs About Jane is my go-to album for household chores)
5) “Echelon” by 30 Seconds to Mars (Such a good song for “mood.”)
6) “Strange Paradise” by Bond (Bond is pure music, no vocals, which makes them a great pick for background while writing.)
7) “Paint it Black” by Rolling Stones (Ah, the days of Guitar Hero and me downloading songs I couldn’t get out of my head)
8) “Everybody’s Fool” by Evanescence (This shuffle is all about playing from albums I absolutely adore! Fallen is yet another so very good album.)
9) “Oh L’amour” by Erasure (*Hugs her 80′s music*)
10) “It’s Been Awhile” by Staind (There’s something so cathartic about singing along to songs with emphasized swearing.)
Sure, I’ll tag a few people: @forlornraven, @laurabwrites, and @thevajunglebook.
But honestly, I’d love for everyone to do this because I love discovering new music.

🎄Album Selection of 2016 | December🎄
Tumblr media
Decays - Baby who wanders (07.12.2016) [★★★★★] (REVIEW)
The final month of 2016 was not so empty as usual, especially for the first album by Decays, the project led by Dir en Grey’s Die, which kicked off last year with a promising mini-album. Now, with the addition of the violinist Ayasa and the singer Ataru Nakamura (do yourself a favor and listen to her songs as solo artist!), the band starts to have a proper identity, formalized with the first full album, one of the best visual rock releases to date. The richness of sonorities, filled between intimate and seducing vibes, accompained by the gorgeous work made respectively by Die and Ataru as singer (for not talking about the instrumentals), where each track makes appreciating their music more and more.

Lm.C - Veda (21.12.2016) [★★★★★]
The most freaking and colorful visual duo ever known marks another relevant moment of this month, concluding their 10th anniversary era with the fifth full release. After two preparatory singles, Lm.C unleash their madness and energy in a fresh and mature release, where eccentric tunes, hinting to more exotic roots, mix up to a brimming rock sound, for another confirmation that this band is not so predictable as it seems.

Sugizo - Oto (Sound) (23.12.2016) [★★★★★]
After five years from the last brand-new release, the composer Yune Sugihara, known for most people as Sugizo, releases his sixth creature, anticipated by two digital singles. What comes out from the release is that the complexity never left Sugizo’s music, rather it wraps all the tracks, from the most aggressive to the calming ones, where the poliedricity of the artist is the best highlight, between guitar riffs and sumptuous violin melodies; if you love him, you must listen to Oto, an awesome and fascinating album.

Life on Mars? (David Bowie cover)
Tumblr media
Nana Mizuki - Neogene Creation (21.12.2016) [★★★★]
Probably known only for the collaborations with T.M. Revolution, Nana Mizuki always tried to distinguish herself from the typical canons of pop music and she managed to do that pretty well so far. The twelfth album, as by title, can be seen as a reinvention of herself, made by a new spirit and style, which I hope she will keep in the next works; her charismatic voice animates a release where the tones are various and intriguing, making her more interesting than expected, especially for one like me who is not so keen on Japanese pop scene.
Tumblr media
TRACKLIST
Meguri au subete ni (A circle that meets everything)
Stand Up!
Please Download
Alone Arrows
Twist&Tiger
Rock Ride Riot
Hatsukoi (First love)
Jewel

Wake up the souls
Starting now!
Gloria
Rodeo Cowgirl
Kimi yo sakebe (Shout out for you)
Zettai teki kofukuron (Theory of absolute happiness)
Tumblr media
Ayasa - Chronicle IV (14.12.2016) [★★★★]
Before officially becoming the violinist for the band Decays, Ayasa was already a little star of instrumental music in Japan, even if her work is not advertised as expected. My first approach with her as solo musician has been with her fourth mini-album, where she managed to compete even in her own, without other musicians overcoming her notes; her touches are powerful, for a wide and complete repertory, between a warm and dancing tune to the saddest themes, for a relaxing and suggestive musical work.
Tumblr media
TRACKLIST
Akidaria umi senki (Acharialia sea war record)
Tenkuu toshi ishisu (Isis, the sky city)
Mizuuminohotori de (By the lake)
Warera ni hikari o (Light for us)
Shanikusai no yoru (Carnival’s night)
-HONORABLE MENTION-
Tumblr media
Cyntia - Urban Night (14.12.2016)
The first mention goes to the female rock band Cyntia, which released their fifth album one year after their latest work, Woman. This quartet always appeared interesting, making attractive rock songs which never bore, but in this release there’s something more; there are more mature elements in their energetic and catchy rock sound, playing even with some electronic effects, for a quite interesting release and a good occasion for getting introduced to this band.
Tumblr media
TRACKLIST
Introduction
Urban Night
Happiness
Bless of the Fire
Life goes on
Un!verse
Fuminshou Chandelier (Insomnia chandelier)
If

Tumblr media
Nothing’s Carved in Stone - Existence (14.12.2016)
The next mention is for one of the most relevant rock acts in Japan, which already caught my attention last year with Maze. This year they released their eighth full work, anticipated by the singles In Future and Adventures, where their quality never faded at all; extremely rhythmical tunes are surrounded by peculiarly experimental influences, showing that they are good even in uncovering new styles.
Tumblr media
TRACKLIST
Overflowing
Like a Shooting Star
Our Morn
In Future
Hanayagu machi ni mukau kimi (You, going into a gorgeous city)
Good-bye
Prisoner Music
Honor is Gone

Adventures
Tumblr media
Fo’x Tails - Inception (14.12.2016)
The final mention goes to one of my recent musical discoveries, the pop-rock band Fo’x Tails. Debuted on 2013, this band released several singles, always appearing pretty anonymous in the scene. With their first full album, they introduced their typical sound, made by an entertaining rock style, with good rhythms and interesting clear vocals, pretty easy to enjoy; I hope that they won’t become the predictable rock act with no peculiar shades.
Tumblr media
TRACKLIST
-IN your brain, put ON-
Inception
Monsters
The LiBERTY
Show Time!!!
Footloose
Contrast
Shin/En
Innocent Graffiti
Jirijiri Spark (Burning spark)
Lost Tonight
Glitter Days
Faraway
That’s all for 2016! See you with the next post on “Focusing on”, hoping that 2017 will be an awesome year!
THANKS FOR THE READING!

Muse’n’Ramble #3: 2016
A Personal Retrospect of 2016
Each year I have a tradition. I choose a theme, usually an abstract idea, ideal, or aspiration, and I muse over it throughout each year. Every month, I choose a sub-theme in tandem with a music track to tie in with that month. By the end of each year I have a playlist of twelve songs to listen to. These songs help me backtrack and reflect on my year and prompt me to think of why I chose the monthly themes or tracks that I did. In 2016 I chose the theme: Phoenix Awakening.
The mythical creature that can burst into flames, cry magical tears, and revive itself from its own ashes. I admit to my own personal fascination to the creature's healing and fiery abilities while looking incredibly majestic. Towards the end of 2015 I was still trying to break myself free from a rather dark spell of what was essentially depression. Aiming for becoming like a Phoenix seemed like a good idea. That month of course, Star Wars: The Force Awakens also came out. I couldn't stop myself from combining the idea of becoming a force using, light-saber wielding, phoenix-like Jedi. (Incidentally, a favorite game of mine is titled: Fire Emblem: Awakening. A medieval fantasy game for the Nintendo 3ds, which also... fueled ideas for 2016.) Thus, 2016 was a year I hoped would be filled with honor, healing, energy, fire, a sense of duty, and glory. Looking back, I think it was.
January: Energy (Potential to Kinetic) Still trying to recover from that dark spell of depression, I knew if I was to become this Phoenix I would need energy. I started to question what energy was. Dipped into information about ATP, calories, and nutrition. Reminded myself that there are different kinds of energy such as kinetic, potential, thermal, and nuclear. Also relearned one of the laws in physics that energy cannot be created, but can only be converted from one form to another. At that time there were two things I honed in on, and still do. The first is potential and kinetic energy. I realized that I was bathing in my own potential energy. I had so many ideas in my head, so many aspirations that were floating around, that I was enjoying that energy. But it is a stagnant energy. I realized I needed a way to convert that energy into kinetic energy. It needed to be something that would put those ideas out of my brain and into motion. Music: Uragiri no Yuuyake- Theatre Brook
February: Focus (Aim, target----) Towards what though? I had targets. I had a senior thesis to work on, a language to study, a study abroad trip to prepare, and better health habits to develop. Focusing on Art, Japanese, and Health became the common denominators for me. But those being broad categories, I found myself being distracted within them. I remember dipping back into old eating habits, and almost back into another spell of depression because of it. Ultimately, despite the month's theme, I remember losing focus. Music: Solitude- Zircon and C-GPO
March: Fire (Find a spark) With my thesis date approaching, time was ticking. Eventually I had no time, and I had to scramble. Scramble I did. I realized I was dipping backwards again, and I made effort to recover. I admitted my lack of progress, made a promise to show up to get to work, and put myself into an environment with people to help encourage success. That was my spark. That's when I learned just how important (and fun) it is to work with people in an environment who are working towards similar goals as you are. It's taken me way too long to learn/realize that. These environments are not always easy to find or fit in, but if you have the opportunity: connect, immerse, and embrace that environment, those people, and those opportunities. It's an incredible source of energy. Music: Psycho-Pass Feat. Akane- Yugo Kanno
April: Maneuver (Stay light on your feet) I knew this month was going to be a difficult one, hence the theme. I knew, like a rebel fighter pilot or a phoenix in the sky, I would have to gracefully maneuver myself towards a completed thesis by mid-April, completing Japanese homework I put on the back-burner, finish up some scholarship applications so I could lower my financial burden when studying abroad, and avoid my ever consistent bad eating habits and love of sugar. (yum). It's also fun to maneuver life when you and a few of your fellow comrades get sick during the week of the thesis show and your own personal display has a few malfunctions. (part of which literally goes up in smoke....heh...heh...) That being said, that show was a moment of glory and a small taste of victory. I didn't quite maneuver all those aspects as well as I had wanted, but I did my best and got a few victories from the previous months of work. The school year ended, and I was left with a summer knowing I had to keep the energy flowing. Music: Sans Battle- Stronger than you (Steven Universe Parody) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TzVOLOROkM
May: Momentum (An object in motion stays in motion.....Keep moving) I started playing Mirror's Edge at this time. A free-running type game where the goal is to see how quickly you can run, jump, climb through multiple levels while under gun-fire. It was a fun and exhilarating game to play as a reminder to myself to keep moving. That environment that helped spark my initial momentum was no longer available in the same format. School was over. So I had to keep my own momentum. Something I also relearned while studying energy in January was Newton's laws of motion. An object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by a greater or equal force. This is true for objects at rest as well. I developed a mentality that the more frequently I practiced drawing, ate something healthy, exercised, or studied Japanese, the easier it would be to do it the next time. This was because I was building a momentum. This thought process has became the longest echoing thought process of 2016 for me. I constantly ask myself if my current momentum is leading towards a direction I wish it to go. If not, I try to see how many actions I can do to adjust the momentum. Music: Edge and Flight- Solar Fields
June: Blaze (Blaze the trail!) Summer began with watching The Road to El Dorado, going on a few hiking excursions, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with a group of friends. I was reminded of my love for nature, adventure, exploration, and fantasy. Summer also meant furthering my preparations for my big trip. I went back to the summer job to save up some money while trying to maneuver studying, preparations, and my art practices. Music: On the Trail we Blaze- Elton John
July: Burn (don't burn out) Admittedly, attempting to maneuver all of those things was quite difficult. I had plenty of fun trying, but I feared I was going to burn out. But I didn't want to. I wanted to keep going. I wanted to keep burning, not burn out. Music: I Burn- Jeff and Casey Lee Williams
August: Resonance (Connect to/Create good vibes) This was the last month before I would leave to Japan for a duration of a year. I tried to spend time with friends and family as much as possible. I tried to finish up things I wanted to do for that summer. I also made sure I remembered what I had learned thus far for the year. I went over my list of themes and prepared for the next month. My goal was to resonate with what good vibes I had laid out for myself in the past, as well as the potential future vibes that might come from the good vibes I create in the present. Music: Resonance- T.M. Revolution
September: Rebirth (Restart/Renew/Resest) I left America and I made it to Japan, something I've been wanting to do since I was a child. Being in Japan, I was hoping to set aside my past views, language, and customs to adopt new ones for a while. I wanted to know what it would be like to embrace a new culture and language. It turns out, it's harder than expected. Old habits die hard. Music: Rebirth- Valve
October: Rhythm (Cast your spells/create your music) Even going into Japan, one doesn't just absorb and automatically learn the culture and language. I was surprised how much I had to hunt for culture and language opportunities. Because it is rather westernized at this point, there's a lot of Japan that made it seem right at home to me. For better or worse. Or maybe it's because I went in wanting to be culture-shocked that nothing has really shocked me. That being said, what really frustrated me was my slow progress in the language and my eating habits.
At the time I found a great Japanese band called Nabowa that I really enjoyed. Jamming out to their music, and finding an opportunity to go to a concert of their's nearby was a great way to realize I needed to construct some music in my own life. That same month I went to an arcade and played something called JuBeat where you listen to music and hit these glowing tiles in rhythm to the music. Soon after I downloaded a game known as Cytus for my phone. In these games, the goal is to essentially tap the screen or tiles as rhythm prompts appear on a screen. I started to take this mentality into my daily life. I started to see moments throughout each day as these prompts. I could take these prompts and keep a decent rhythm towards music I desired to craft, miss prompts completely, or hit prompts that led to an undesirable rhythm, so to speak.
Essentially, I was using the concepts of rhythm and music to expand on the earlier concept of momentum. This made things more fun and interesting to me. I've since taken it a step further and added spell-casting into the visualization. Not only am I creating a momentum which builds a rhythm, but that rhythm becomes a form of spell-casting that helps me have a little more fun and enjoyment in building and maintaing better habits and an overall lifestyle. It's a fantastical take on life that, for me at least, spices things up. Realizing these things and starting to put them into practice, I felt as if I found a decent rhythm for myself. Music: Cal< Ion/pulse/Aurelia [Live]- Nabowa
November: Roost (How do you rest?) One thing I realized as I tried to improve my life's rhythm was that I wasn't including quality rests. Sometimes the best music has strategic pauses that allow the listener and player to relax before another session of tense playing. So, I wanted to think about my own restorative powers. I now have a few sets of exercises (sets which I consider “spells”), that I can do to help me relax. My new favorite is simply taking my contacts out, closing my eyes, and taking a few deep breaths. I've started to use music to allow my brain to relax and wander, drink a little water or tea, do a few Tai Chi motions, go for walks outside for sunshine and exercise, or write/journal. Music: Oath to Order- Theophany
December: Evolution (Progress to a better version) I had this image in my mind. I wanted to evolve by the end of the year into a self that would be better than my current self and more like the phoenix. Specifically, I wanted to be at a higher Japanese proficiency, have a better grasp on my personal nutrition so I can feed myself without resorting to sugar, convenient stores, or fast food, and have a daily rhythm in regards to my art-making process. Being in Japan I have a had a great opportunity to make progress on these goals. But, when the year was getting closer to its end I had a particular excursion that I think really triggered my evolution.
One day I started walking to the super market and simply decided that instead I would hike towards a mountain way off in the distance. Hiking to and from the mountain took longer than hiking the mountain range itself. But, the vista point at the top was gorgeous. It looked out over the prefecture I am currently residing in. It was then I confirmed (again) how much I love hiking in the mountains. I wanted to hike more. I wanted to hike across mountains, rivers, forests, and explore more of this earth.
That includes the areas of interests I have chosen as my battle arenas: Art and Japanese. Within those subjects I have my own mountains to climb and vistas to find. I've now taken that vigor into my studies. Even now, that excitement of exploration is assisting in my denial of trips to the convenient store, acceptance of healthier life choices, and a greater focus in my work.
As I started to reflect on my 2016, I asked myself, did I evolve into this phoenix I wanted to evolve into? During that hike I remember feeling a sense of change within me. I felt I found what I needed to evolve. In consolidating the lessons that I have learned throughout the year, I have strengthened their memory. Since New Years, that feeling of evolution has become stronger. So, I can say I have indeed evolved. Or at least, I feel I am in the process. The Phoenix has indeed Awakened. Music: Battle! (Ho-oh)- HeartGold/SoulSilver- Game Freak and Go Ichinose
Epilogue: 2017: The theme for this year is The Hunter, with hopes that I will increase my rhythm towards a more active role in life. My first hunt is for memory. While making progress in my language proficiency I hope to contemplate the process of memory. How does it work? In our brains? Our computers? What is required to make these processes work? How can we advance them? How can we lower the resource cost? Who is researching these questions? These topics? Who is making art in regards to these topics? Progress? Technology? How can I advance my own memory? Short-term? Long-term? What can I do to more easily memorize this language and culture I wish to learn? Is there a way to include art as a memorization device or technique?
These will be a few of the things I personally contemplate as I move into January 2017. Here's to a year filled with exploration, adventure, and the thrill of the hunt! There's magic afoot!

Saturday 7 September 2019 from Wardenburg to Nijmegen (Netherlands)
A long post today as we moved from Germany to the Netherlands.
We left Wardenburg at 8.15am and drove 250 km south west towards the Rhine valley. We had some rain along the way but by the time we arrived at the Rheinberg War Cemetery, is was cloudy but fine.  The cemetery is only a few hundred metres from the Rhine; it was established in 1946 as a cemetery for graves from a wide area. Of its 3,300 graves, 240 are Australian aircrew and one of them is Flying Officer Frederick Keck (OW1929) RAAF 400623 No. 455 Squadron. Age 27 died 11 April 1942. This was the last raid of 455 Sqn under Bomber Command, as it then transferred to coastal duty in Scotland.
Frederick was one of six brothers who attended Wesley. Born June 1914 Launceston, Tasmania, the son of the Rev Harry and Ethel Keck.  Frederick was a bank official before he enlisted in the RAAF. FO Keck was the navigator of Hampden AT 221 which took off from RAF Wigsley to bomb the main square of Essen, Germany. Nothing was heard from the aircraft after take-off and it failed to return to base.  After the war it was established that the aircraft crashed at Sturzelberg [south of Dusseldorf] and all the crew were killed.  http://www.tasmanianwarcasualties.com/War%20Casualties/WW11/Men/extra%20notes/K/Keck_Frederick_Abbey.htm
Keck’s older brother, Harry, was killed 12 days earlier over Libya on 30 March 1942 with 14 Sqn. Rod and I saw his name on the Alamein Memorial, Egypt last May. The following notice appeared in The ArgusMelbourne 29 September 1942:  KECK.-On March 30, over Libya, Flight-Lieut. Harry Kingwell and on April 10 over Germany, P.O. Frederick Abbey, eldest and second eldest sons of the Rev. H. A. G. and Mrs. Keck, and brothers of Lieut. W. D. (A.I.F.), Lieut. J. C. (A.I.F.), Captain J. W. (A.I.F.), Dvr T.M. (A.I.F.), Lurline, and Bruce, aged 30 years and 28 years. - "Thou shalt love with all thy strength".
It was then a short drive west, almost to the Netherlands border to visit the largest CWGC cemetery in Germany.  The Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, has 7,600 graves, of which 327 are Australian aircrew. The dimensions of the cemetery are huge with a large open space at the entrance and of course beautifully maintained.
One of the Australian aircrew is Sergeant Ambrose Henry (OW1933) RAAF 401819 No. 10 Sqn (RAF). Age 23, died 7 September 1942 flying Halifax bombers.  I don’t yet have details of his death.  He was the son of Colonel Ambrose Henry, of the Salvation Army, and nephew of Commissioner Robert Henry, former territorial leader of the Salvation Army. Before enlistment he was on the staff of the Board of Works.
In respect of our trip, at this cemetery, is the only OW Army serviceman to have die in Europe in WWII; and his is a remarkable story. Corporal Kenneth Bruce Dowding (OW1929) is buried as a member of the British Army number S/131722; although his headstone notes that he was ‘(of Australia)’.  Bruce, as he was known, was a Prep languages teacher at his old School.  In 1938 he went to France to continue his studies of modern languages. When war was declared, he joined the BEF as an interpreter with the Royal Army Service Corps. He was captured at Dunkirk, with his unit when the Germans broke through to the Channel ports in May 1940.  He escaped later that year and joined the Resistance but was ultimate captured, and appears to have been treated as a PoW.  Although he sent a message to his parents saying he was safe, he was executed on 30 June 1943 at Dortmund, age 29.  An article written by a family member is well worth reading – although it does leave a number of unanswered questions as to both his life and death: http://www.christopherlong.co.uk/pub/dowding.html
We then left Germany and crossed into the Netherlands.  Our overnight stay is Nijmegen on the Waal, and just south of Arnhem (on the Nederrijn).  This area is well-known for Operation Market Garden, the failed Allied attempt to capture strategic bridgeheads over the Rhine waterways in September 1944.
Our hotel, which overlooks the Nijmegen bridge and the Waal, was the centre for the end of a bike event we had no idea was happening, so we decided to go to the Airborne Museum Hartstein in Oosterbeek which is just to the west of Arnhem.
Another thing we didn’t know was that the first Saturday in September is ‘Airborne March’ day where members of the local community pay tribute to the allied soldiers of September 1944 by a mass walk which covers some of the battle areas and attending the Arnhem Oosterbeek War Cemetery. The organisers claim that with over 35,000 participants this is the largest commemorative walk in the world. So due to related road closures we abandoned going to the museum but found we could get to the cemetery by a back road as we wanted to visit the grave of Flight Sergeant Bruce Williams (OW1934) RAAF 428538. No. 98 Squadron (RAF), died 25 September 1944, age 21.
When we walk into the cemetery it was one of the marvellous sights I have seen.  Not only were the plants at the headstones in bloom, but from the morning activities, locals had placed sunflowers and roses at many of the graves. Both the CWGC Cross and the Stone were also covered in floral tributes. There were still local folk and visitors wondering around the graves – the place was alive and colourful, in a beautiful sun bathed rural setting.
Bruce was a furniture salesman and enlisted 6 November 1942. He was in the UK by the end of January 1944 and joined the 98 Sqn on 7 July 1944, flying North American B-25 Mitchell Bombers. At the beginning of Operation Market Garden, Williams’ crew flew bombing operations in support of the landings. Over the next week the situation deteriorated for the Allies, and more missions were flown in an attempt to slow the German counter-attacks. On 25 September No 98 Squadron was tasked with bombing German positions in Arnhem, covering the withdrawal of British airborne troops. The crew took off for Arnhem that afternoon as part of a 12-bomber formation. The bombing completed, they turned for home, but were attacked by German Focke Wulf F-190 fighters. One beset Williams’ aircraft from below and astern, giving the gunners no chance to properly respond.
With the aircraft fatally damaged, Williams ordered the crew to bail out. Williams parachuted towards the bridge across the Lower Rhine, which was back under control of the SS after being briefly captured by British paratroopers. Troops stationed on the bridge fired at Williams as he descended, and he was killed.
A local Dutch man, witnessed Williams’ death and later recovered his body and buried him in his parachute nearby. After the war, Williams was reinterred to this cemetery https://www.facebook.com/AWMemorial/posts/10152607202017525/
It is interesting to note that his headstone has no religious symbol and no family supplied quote at its base.
We then walked to the centre of Oosterbeek where there were thousands of people still completing their walks, and others enjoying food, drinks and a local band. It was a bit like Anzac Day and Moomba combined – quite a street festival.
We returned to our hotel for rest and dinner by the Waal.  We are spending tomorrow here as well.

Celtic 0-1 Aberdeen
Celtic 0-1 Aberdeen
Celtic 0-1 Aberdeen
Andrew Considine’s early second-half objective gave Aberdeen a well-known win at Celtic Park
Aberdeen grew to become the primary Scottish workforce to inflict a house defeat on Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic because the Dons secured second place within the Premiership.
Derek McInnes’ aspect end as runners-up for a fourth yr in a row because of Andrew Considine’s second-half strike.
Greg Stewart had earlier curled a free-kick on to the highest of the hosts’ bar.
Champions Celtic, who have been introduced with the trophy after the match, got here shut by way of substitutes Leigh Griffiths and Stuart Armstrong.
Goalkeeper Joe Lewis denied the Scotland duo and Aberdeen had Shay Logan despatched off after the match because the Dons completed three factors in entrance of Rangers, who drew 5-5 with Hibernian at Easter Highway.
Trophy time for Celtic
There was a well-known social gathering really feel within the Glasgow sunshine earlier than the sport. Celtic, having received seven successive league titles, have grow to be used to celebrating at the moment of yr however Aberdeen have been determined for a final-day flourish that might see them declare the most effective of the remainder spot.
As anticipated it was the house aspect who dominated early proceedings, however the first actual effort fell to the boys in crimson. Gary Mackay-Steven was introduced down on the sting of the field and Stewart smashed the ensuing free-kick off Scott Bain’s crossbar.
It gave the guests a confidence increase and after Lewis blocked a Moussa Dembele shot from shut vary, they poured ahead and Kristoffer Ajer cleared a cross that nearly crept previous Bain into the Celtic objective.
Each units of followers have been clearly effectively conscious of the rollercoaster match between Hibs and Rangers within the capital, with every objective for the house aspect being met with cheers from these in crimson and inexperienced in equal measure.
Griffiths was unsuccessful with three second-half efforts for Celtic
However objectives have been what was missing at Celtic Park and what began off as an fascinating tussle turned pretty scrappy with neither aspect trying significantly threatening within the closing third of the pitch.
Sensing how the tide was turning at Easter Highway, Aberdeen got here out after the interval with actual intent. Stewart curled a shot simply over however lower than a minute later they have been forward.
The Celtic defence didn’t clear on the left-hand aspect and, with some assist from Kenny McLean, the ball fell to Considine, who powered by way of on objective and blasted low previous Bain at his close to publish. It was a superb end and it felt very very like an important end.
Rodgers made a few adjustments, maybe with the Scottish Cup closing in thoughts, and a type of adjustments, Griffiths, ought to have carried out higher 10 minutes after the objective. Ajer slid the ball by way of on the fringe of the field however the striker might solely toe poke a weak effort into the grateful palms of Lewis.
Celtic have been beginning to flip the screw, although, and Olivier Ntcham watched Lewis desperately scramble throughout his objective to dam his long-range effort, Anthony O’Connor fantastically blocking Callum McGregor’s rebound try. It was all starting to look just a little ominous for the guests.
It was Lewis who continued to return to Aberdeen’s rescue as his objective was peppered with Celtic photographs time and time once more – Griffiths and Armstrong each on course however denied by the Englishman.
McInnes might hardly watch as he prowled the Aberdeen technical space determined for the clock to learn 90.
However when the whistle was blown he jumped in then air as did the small band of Aberdeen followers who had travelled to Glasgow hoping this may very well be their day.
All of it acquired just a little an excessive amount of for Logan, who was despatched off after the ultimate whistle for over-celebrating in entrance of the Celtic followers.
Logan was escorted off by Aberdeen assistant supervisor Tony Docherty

RULES: Repost and answer the questions, then tag at least 3 of your followers :)
I was tagged by: @the-damnedest-creature !! thank you!! //;;w;//
I’m not gonna tag that many peeps because I’m not solely a J-rock blog and not many people that follow me are solely J-rock blogs either I think hehe but um mebbe @romanesque-moon and @severemagazinementality idk ignore this if you don’t want to do it of course but we’re mutuals so yeh !! ;u; go for it if you feel like it, sorry for taggin out of the blue ///v// I have hardly any J-rock fan followers to be honest I think /;;   ;))/
anywaaaaaays ヽ・ω・*/ノ
1. When and how did you get into j-rock?
jokesss it was animu as usual ahahahaa I was already listening to J-pop at the time like Arashi and Yuki Kajiura I also liked Perfume by that point too, around.. 2012..? somewhere around there ;w; I was 13 years old.
I actually can't remember who my first J-rock band I ever heard was ;;u ; I listened to a lot of anime intros and found a couple of artists from there....   the first J-rock song I ever heard was probably SID's Monochrome no Kissu huhuhu but I didn't actually listen to SID after that.....  ting is is that I was painfully weeby at the time, the typically cringey child that would more listen to ... random american pop songs that I found on amvs, and all the classics like cascada's everytime we touch and the 'numa numa song' ,,...... //////v/// and I listened to a LOT of Vocaloid, all of it, I was obcessed, it’s literally all I would listen to for a year or so ノω`*)ノ  I also found a finnish rock band called Indica through an amv and even bought one of their albums ;u; my music taste was a crazy mix of stuff I'd just found on Youtube really... I loved The Midnight Beast (reppin from uk) and I still do, Lemon Demon too.... and I downloaded official soundtracks from anime like Pandora Hearts and D.Gray Man and listened to those as well. I was also a big fan of Yugioh the abridged series and would listen to yugioh song parodies LittleKuriboh made ;; u ;
Only a small part of my music library was J-rock and J-pop at the time... but I think the first band that caught my attention was Buck-Tick, after I watched the anime xxxHolic somewhere in 2012. Then after watching Shiki a little later I recognised the same voice and looked kuchizuke up and was jammin, and for some reason I watched an interview with Aachan before getting distracted by that one video that everyone has seen of T.M singing dress with him, and listening to ABS instead because I knew them from the theme song to D.Gray man ///u// it was only until summer 2013 until I really found out who Buck-Tick actually was, I listened to as many singles as I could find and I fell in love with them in less than 24 hours hehe ´。• ᵕ •。` I actually didn't like rock music at all before then, b-t were the group that introduced me to being a rock music fan even though I still didn't like heavier sounds, like Gazette that my friend was into. Sometime later that year I listened to L'arc en Ciel for the first time too, I think I read about them in a magazine or something.. I can't remember //w// ((I bought the 'stay away' single at may mcm in 2014, my first J-rock cd :3c)) I still listened to a lot of J-pop during 2013 and Arashi had begun to dominate my life, so I didn't really get properly into J-rock and visual kei until early 2014 when I started listening to ancafe, because I'd heard of them from cosplayers on deviantart who had them in their ID section under music interests, and then subsequently finding out they were touring in europe :3c I was more partial to oshare and lighter pop-punk things around that time.. early days was LM.C and Alice Nine and Royz after that....
Kind of a long and patchy story (wow it’s really long why did I write so much I’m so sorry it’s so boring) but there isn't necessarily an exact moment I started listening to J-rock... only in the last year or so have I let Vkei fully consume my life so... back then it was only a side interest for me among all the other things ˊ꒳ˋ  from 2014 onwards I just found more and more bands as well as listening to a lot of johnny's and J-pop stuffs... >w> and the rest is historyyyy
2. List your current most favorite band(s).
bakuchikuuuuu forever and ever every moment of my waking life alwaysss till I dieeee //w/// and Dog in the PWO >:3 two very contrasting groups to say the leest but I have a wide breadth of faves hehe ;;w; I fell in love with Doggu super quickly and have been following them ever since, I've known them for a year now and they are 100% in my top 5 favourite bands ever ;u ; dems are my two main faves as it is right now but there are too many others to list that I have a lot of feelings for /;;w;//
Currently I also like listening to Hakujitsu no Yume... Pentagon are my children.... Piglow in Gloomy are really amazing also ;w;;
3. How many j-rock concerts have you been to? (If you haven’t been to any, which band would you like to see the most in the future?)
not many becos I am a baby and I have never travelled out of my home country to raibus ;;v; my first ever was Ancafe in 2014, when I was a weeby mess, and most recently Versailles in January 2017 :3c inbetween I’ve seen VAMPS (and alexandros) at a shared live @ ‘Japan Night’ which was a lil concert organised by HyperJapan, a convention here in uk ..can I count bands that I’ve seen at Hyper too..? ;;w; I’ll just count Vaniru because they were aight while Yuto and Leoniel lasted as a couple heheh >w>> and I also went to SuG’s raibu in 2015~
so that makes 6 i guess.. I am a bebe ;;
//come on Merry where u at with this europe tour??//
there are so so so many bands I wanna see live, and I would go to a couple more lives in London here and there but I always get attached to groups that are very Japan-based and that are very unlikely to make any overseas appearances ;v; and I don’t wanna spend a lot of monies on bands that I don’t know as well that occasionally visit //3///
4. Which j-rock band do you think is the most underrated?
Daizystripper o´ω`o   They used to be a more popular with western peeps but I think a lot of people stopped listening to them a while ago an might not even realise that they're still active and tings ;; v; their debut with Victor might make it a little difficult for international fans though eheh but I wish they still had the support they seemed to have~ so many good jams ;  u ;
And everyone from Planet Child Music records needs more recognition and to be invited to more events ///u//
5. Which j-rock band do you think is the most overrated?
If I had to I'd say Vamps hhhhuu I thought that they were v good up until recently ;;w; I dunno I feel like the couple of newer songs have lost their power and originality... and no matter what I'll always think L'arc are infinitely better but some people think not //vv/// Vamps are always over here and in other countries too, whereas L'arc I feel are neglected a lot with world tours and overseas promotion and stuff when they deserve more love than vamps ;3; I mean.. 25 years going strong //u/ why dis Hyde come back to uk without vamps this time hhhh
6. Who is your ultimate bias in j-rock? Optionally: Post your most favorite picture(s) of them.
ahhhhh .. Aachan got me from the start ;; ノノ*ФωФ ;;ノノ ノノ
7. What is your most treasured j-rock related memory?
Um.. not that much has happened to me personally that I can really mention hehe >w>
Hizaki calling me cute at Hyper's meet & greet last year was probably the best thing that's acc happened to me ;;;;w;;;;;; It was the end of the day and I looked like a wreck, Hizaki saw me as I came up for cheki and said 'kawaii~' ////w// best memory heckk I mean Hizaki---- being called cute by Hizaki ;;;;;u; why dis I do not deserve (and obvs taking cheki with him was part of that good memory too >w>)
An Cafe was my first live, and I'll always remember that my one of my favourite singles is 'My heart leaps for 'C'' and when they played it after the encore I went insane hehe ;;; u ; that was a treasured moment for me because it was kind of surreal like 'oh wow a band that I love is playing one of my favourite songs is this real??' and ... since I was an hyperactive 15 year-old that moment just made me really excited ;v; I was singing along (horribly) to every lyric and bouncing up and down like crazy and I would not let that feeling go for a while //w/ ah to be young again ~~
But SuG is probably the best raibu memory ever ever. they played a very very small venue in London and it was literally the most intimate thing imaginable, you could touch everyone and Takecchi almost hit his head a few times on the lights above him ;;u; and even though I was in like, three rows of people away from the front, Chiyu's hand grazed mine for a second and that was the most special moment ;;w; Shinpei leaned into the audience for a group hug and Yuji and Chiyu were high-fiving and ruffling people's hair ///;w;/ it was such a long farewell with everyone touching hands and patting heads and it felt so nice and close, I thought we were really lucky to get such an intimate show ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄
8. How do you support and enjoy j-rock the most? Buying CDs? Going to lives? Just full on going to Japan for it?
I buy Cd's if I can for bando that I really love and want to support, and at lives I buy at least one peice of merch every time too :3c and I'm trying to get into a habit of buying Cure if bands I like are featured >u> I accidentally end up following e v e r y o n e on twitter and just scroll thru liking posts if that counts as 'support' ? :'3
9. How does your family feel about this hobby of yours?
My parents don't really mind, I end up showing my mama photos and videos and she understands my hype at everyone I think hehe, and I play cd's often so my parents hear J-rock a lot but don't complain~ we all have our own music collections now it’s so cute 〃▽〃 I talk about J-rock a lot like, I just ramble on mostly to myself because I have no-one else to talk to in the house so ;;u; my parents don't really listen that closely but ye, they don't mind and they're glad I'm into something different I guess :'3c
10.What is the craziest j-rock fandom story that you have?
idk what j-rock 'fandom' story means exactly,,, like, you heard the story from the fandom or the story is about the actual fandom itself..? ;;w; well actually I guess this is both haha this is the only story that I have worth telling and I only heard it a couple weeks ago but ;//u.//
A friend of a friend has connections with Mejibray’s MiA, and he messages her and lots of other peeps I’d imagine as MiA prob does~ and on one occasion MiA was sent a cute little (I say little but) Intimate Image that the 1 and only Yohio took of his peen and decided to share it around so other people could enjoy it obvs >>>ww.>> and he sent it to said friend, nice one >;3ccc thank u for showing me too I feel very privileged, too many bants I was dying ahh ..//www//// why dis MiA why dis......... poor Yohio ;; v; u don’t need to send dick pics to impress your senpai, kids ;;  /////; poor little child ;u;;
---yyyyeee I’m so boring das literally all I have apart from the most mediocre things like being jealous of people that get to go to meet&greets and have fun encounters and peeps that actually manage to catch picks at lives etc //u....///
