Beat the Heat Naturally: A Guide to Air Coolers
As the summer sun intensifies, the search for an effective and budget-friendly cooling solution becomes paramount. Air coolers emerge as a compelling alternative to traditional air conditioners, offering a natural and cost-conscious way to combat the heat. But are air coolers right for you? Let's delve into the world of air coolers and explore their benefits, drawbacks, and how they compare to AC units.
How Air Coolers Work:
Unlike air conditioners that use refrigerants to cool air, air coolers employ a more natural process involving evaporation. Here's a simplified breakdown:
Water Reservoir: Fill the air cooler's tank with water.
Cooling Pads: A pump draws water and circulates it through absorbent pads.
Air Circulation: A fan pulls in hot air from the room.
Evaporation:As air passes through the wet pads, water evaporates, absorbing heat from the air.
Cooler Air: The cooled air is then blown back into the room.

picture used for illustration purposes only
Benefits of Air Coolers:
Cost-Effective: Air coolers are generally less expensive to purchase and operate compared to traditional AC units.
Natural Cooling: They utilize a natural evaporation process, avoiding harsh chemicals or refrigerants.
Eco-Friendly: They consume less energy, making them a more environmentally friendly option.
Humidification: Air coolers add moisture to the air, which can be beneficial in dry climates.
Portability: Many air coolers are compact and lightweight, making them easy to move from room to room.
If you live in a very hot and humid region or require powerful cooling, an air conditioner might be a better option.
Remember, air coolers work best in well-ventilated areas. Consider using them alongside ceiling fans for optimal air circulation. Visit Poorvika for the Best Price.

Seeking an affordable air cooler to ease summer heat and reduce energy costs.
Consider the size of the room: When choosing an air cooler, it is important to consider the size of the room you want to cool. The bigger the room, the more powerful the air cooler should be.
Type of air cooler: There are different types of air coolers available, such as portable air coolers, tower air coolers, and window air coolers. Choose the one that suits your needs and fits your budget.
Cooling capacity: The cooling capacity of an air cooler is measured in CFM (cubic feet per minute). Choose an air cooler with a high CFM rating for better cooling efficiency.
Water tank capacity: The size of the water tank in an air cooler determines how long it can run before needing a refill. Choose an air cooler with a large water tank if you need to cool a large room for an extended period.
Power consumption: Air coolers consume less power than air conditioners, but it is still important to choose an air cooler with low power consumption to save on energy bills.
Noise level: Air coolers can be noisy, especially if you choose a high-powered model. Consider the noise level of the air cooler before making a purchase.
Tumblr media
Brand reputation: Choose an air cooler from a reputable brand that offers a good warranty and after-sales service. Leading brand called Symphony is available in Poorvika at an affordable price range.
Additional features: Some air coolers come with additional features such as remote control, air purification, and humidity control. Consider these features if they are important to you.

can i request for multiverse monday where hotch is the coach of the little league team that the reader's son is in, and they develop feelings with every meeting they have <33 thank youu
"Orange slices, Mr. Hotchner?"
Aaron turns, the breeze blowing his t-shirt tight against his stomach. He feels the wind against his bare skin, and adjusts the hem so that it's not rucking up his abdomen.
"I think those are for the little leaguers," Aaron smiles, warmly, kindly, accompanied by a soft pinkish hue to his face and neck. It's homey, the bright blue of the sky, the vibrant green of the grass, and soft like the material of his tee that juxtaposes the stiff suits in his wardrobe at home.
"I cut them, I can hand them out," You shrug, extending a small plastic bag of oranges towards him, "Besides, I hear they help with your skin."
He takes them, opens the bag and pinches one between his fingers before he teases, "Are you telling me I've got wrinkles?"
"No!" You laugh, and then you reconsider, "Well, frown lines. Probably from telling Manny to stop catching butterflies instead of balls. But I meant that you're gonna get sunburnt, Mr. Hotchner."
"I put on sunscreen," He shakes his head, absentmindedly tugging the flesh of the orange away from the rind with his teeth, his eyes drifting lazily over the kids playing catch.
"Not well."
He's broken out of his focus by your hand braced against his cheek, your thumb rubbing against the bridge of his nose. He stiffens, caught in the feeling of your gentle caress. He's fairly certain orange juice runs a sticky line down his chin. When you pull your hand away again there's a white paste on your skin, clearly sunscreen he hadn't applied as thoroughly as he'd thought.
"Oh." He mumbles sheepishly, swallowing the sour fruit in his mouth, "I thought-"
"Did Jack do it?"
"No," He admits, and he'll take the hit to his ego for the way your nose scrunches with glee as you laugh.
"Use a mirror next time, Mr. Hotchner," You suggest, bumping your shoulder into his as you begin surveying the kids like he was. One nearly trips over her own cleat and you tense, ready to spring into action, but she rights herself and you settle again.
"You're not one of the players, you know. You can call me Aaron." He hums.
"Oh, yeah? I think," You cock your head to the side, eyeing him, "That you just want one of the otter pops in my cooler. Orange slices weren't enough? You've resorted to buttering me up for a blue raspberry popsicle?"
"I do not want an otter pop," He chuckles, "Or maybe I do, but not to eat. I just want to hold it against my sunburn."
Your laughs combine into a sweet thing, a brief symphony among the thwacking of baseballs on leather and the huffing of little players. You reach down to the cooler and withdraw a pink popsicle, handing it out to him with a soft smirk.
"You're lucky I'm a team player, Aaron. Pink is my favorite, but since it matches the color of your face, I suppose you're welcome to it."
He thanks you for the popsicle as he settles it against his warm cheek, but he willfully neglects to tell you that the strawberry tones of his face are less from sun damage, and more from the way your shoulder comes to brush feather-light against his own, barely there but unmoving all the same.

I’m not the first to write something like this but here’s my spin on shifter!141.
*****
They had spent too long in their bestial forms. Time feels different when the wolf takes over, easier to lose track of and even harder to remember their human lives. By the time one of them remembers the house in the woods and its many acres that still needs a final payment under a fake name it’s too late.
They look on from the tree line, taking note of the changes made by the new owner. A budding flower garden in front of the house, well kept and just starting to show its spring colors. Around back a large vegetable patch was still green, nothing yet ready to harvest. The exterior had a fresh coat of paint and small repairs had been made. A single faded blue truck rumbled up the long and winding driveway. That’s when they first laid eyes upon you.
—————
“Abandoned, Selling As Is” was what the advertisement had read. No one else had wanted the plot of land hours away from civilization. For you, though, it was perfect. Somewhere to start over, to be alone and relearn who you are.
The rooms still held the previous owner’s belongings. Everything had been left untouched as if they just vanished one day. All men, you assumed, just from the sparse decor and the clothes left behind. Military, maybe, from how the beds were made with their sheets tucked into hospital corners. Paranoid loners, possibly even doomsday preppers, was another guess you made after discovering a gun safe hidden behind a false wall under the stairs.
It was almost a game, once a day trying a hand full of combinations to see if any worked. Something mindless to fill an unoccupied moment of time. That’s when you really started going through the papers and books left behind. Looking for any clues at what the code might be. A notepad left on the small hallway table is where you scribbled down all the combinations that hadn’t worked, in a meager attempt to not repeat yourself. A small mystery to add a little life to your loneliness.
At night is when things really come to life this far out into the wilderness. In the early days of owning the property, before you were able to get the satellite internet set up, you’d spend the evenings watching and listening on the back porch. Deer were the most common, using the wide open expanse of a backyard as a place to graze in the evenings. Owls silently swooping down on field mice before retreating to the trees once more. Coyotes, crickets, and night birds made a symphony of nature most nights.
The most exciting were the wolves. You could always hear them howling in the distance, calling to one another. They weren’t like the coyotes that cackled over one another in attempt to sound larger or more numerous than they actually were. These were direct calls and responses. Their vocalizations sounding almost melancholy, as if they were yearning for something that seemed just out of reach.
It was a quiet night when you finally decided to respond to their calls. The evening had been spent making supply lists for your trek into the nearest town in the morning. A large cooler had been thrown into the bed of your truck to store items intended for the refrigerator and deep freezer.
You sat on the tailgate, listening to the night song that seemed to encapsulate the peaceful valley you now owned. A celebratory drink held in one hand and a small, proud smile graces your lips. Your house was starting to feel like a real home and that was definitely worth celebrating.
The wolves that you had grown fond of, yet had never seen, were starting up. Your favorite night song. A melody that you could listen to for hours. One you had listened to for hours.
Four. You could make out four distinct calls at this point. Two were more vocal than others, their tones more playful. One was definitely the pack leader. His call the first and last each night, like a command or an order. And one was rarely heard, usually only short responses and never as loud as the others. But the valley always carried their calls to you, teaching you their voices. They were faceless friends in your solitude.
So you call out into the night. The long howl a poor imitation of theirs, straining your vocal cords.
The night grows still. All goes quiet. As the silence passes for a beat, then another, your smile slowly falters and fades. A pang of disappointment and a small bubble of guilt at interrupting their conversation.
All animals, even fierce predators, could be skittish. You worried that your call had scared them off, ruining your chances of ever spotting them. With a hop you jump off the tailgate, slamming it shut in frustration. Heavy feet stomping all the way onto the porch and inside. You could only hope they hadn’t heard your foolishness and that something else has quieted them.
The night remains silent as you crawl into bed. The night song ending early and sewing sadness into your dreams.
But they had heard you.
Your distinctly human howling calling to a dormant part of their minds. They remembered themselves. They remembered their life in the valley. They remembered the house where their human lives were lived.
And they were coming home.

Burgundy Leaves
Ivar The Boneless x gn!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Comfortember Day 3: Leaves Changing
Summary: You and your little sister decided to take a stroll through the forest to collect the colorful leaves of autumn. While you both ate some freshly made buns and played catch, you accidentally bumped into Ivar.
Note: Okay... I'm fangirling. This one kinda hit me a little harder than it should. It's so wholesome.
Warnings: none
word count: 999
Tumblr media
With the arrival of the cooler season autumn, the leaves slowly turned from a bright green to a sensation of colors. The dense, towering trees of the forest beckoned, their leaves glowing with the fiery hues of autumn. It was a world of vibrant reds, golds and oranges - a symphony of colors that enchanted your senses. This was the kind of season where you felt most alive, and the beauty of the forest had always been your refuge.
Whenever the temperatures dropped the people in Kattegat knew to prepare for winter, equipping themselves with wood, blankets and a food storage. Although the colder season might not be everyone’s favorite, you quite liked it. You had a younger sister, named Ingrid, who also waited for autumn every single year. Therefore, the day you noticed the significant change in the leaves, you took her by her hand and dragged her into the town of Kattegat. Before you made your way into the forest, you stopped by a small stall. You knew the owner of the shop quite well because you had been buying freshly baked buns every other day. After putting the still steaming baking goods in your picnic basket, you and your sibling started your journey.
While you entered the nearby forest, the sunlight filtered through the dense foliage, creating a mosaic of light and shadow on the forest floor. The rustle of leaves beneath your feet and the chorus provided a soothing function.
Your sister ran free, catching falling leaves, collecting the most beautiful artworks by nature and eating snacks out of the picnic basket here and there. A bright smile covered your lips while you watched Ingrid being a happy child.
“Can we play catch, y/n?” She asked you, her eyes flickering in hope.
You answered, “Sure, I’ll count to ten and then I’ll come get you!”
The loud giggles emerged from your younger sister, as her feet made their way through the familiar collection of trees. Shortly after you reached the number ten, you began to run after her.
Suddenly, you trip over a thick branch as you ran around the corner. Though, your lovable face did not hit the hard ground.
With a soft gasp, you stumbled backward as you made contact with Ivar's firm, armored chest. The surprise was mirrored in his cobalt blue eyes as you looked up, a sudden rush of embarrassment coloring your cheeks.
“Y/n!” Ingrid screamed, speeding back to you immediately. “Did you hurt yourself?”
You shook your head, smiling awkwardly.
“I'm so sorry," you stammered, glancing at the tall man, your voice tinged with guilt. "I didn't see you coming. Are you alright, Ivar?"
You felt his icy eyes inspecting every single inch of you, thus made you flush. In all secrecy you owned a soft spot for Ivar. Of course you weren’t in a very deep relationship, but from time to time you helped him, accompanied him or cooked him dinner, whenever he didn’t want to eat with his own family.
“It appears we were both lost in our own little worlds," he replied, smiling softly.
Your sister, confused about the romantic tension between the both of you, distracted herself with collecting more leaves. Ivar studied Ingrid for a moment, his curiosity evident in the quirk of his lips.
“You are collecting leaves? A simple yet beautiful pursuit." Ivar grinned at your sister, who picked out a beautiful red maple leaf. She turned around and gifted it to Ivar, expressing her appreciation. Your heart warmed up at that sight, since he was so gentle with your little sister.
Ingrid’s high voice chimed in with enthusiasm, "Would you like to join us, Ivar? I’ll make you your own crown out of red leaves!"
Ivar, usually not so fond of children, appreciated your little sister a lot. She was honest and kind, unlike many other kids who lived in Kattegat. On top of that, the Viking loved one particular person who was linked to Ingrid - you.
Ivar considered the offer for a moment before a playful glint entered his eyes.
"Very well, little Lady. I shall accompany you,” he accepted, watching her happily run off to guide Ivar and you.
As you continued to explore the forest together, you couldn't help but be captivated by Ivar's presence. Since he had learned how to walk with his crutches, his tall body always surprised you. You liked him, crawling or walking, it didn’t matter to you.
You and Ingrid led the way to the most unique spots in the forest, where the trees cast long and the colors of autumn were most resplendent. Ingrid collected leaves of rich burgundy, while you gathered those of gold and orange. Ivar watched the scene with a hint of awe in his eyes. Ivar's gaze met yours, and for a moment, the world seemed to stand still. The connection between you deepened - you felt like you were the only two souls in the whole forest. Ingrid, ever the perceptive one, excused herself to give the two of you some privacy.
Ivar leaned closer, his presence filling your senses as he whispered, "Y/n, there’s something immaculate about you. I hope we won’t grow apart."
Red hues rushed over your cheeks, your fingers fidgeted with the fur of your coat and you unconsciously bit the skin of your bottom lip while you let his words swallow you whole. You barely could form a sentence under the embarrassment.
“Ivar, no. I apologize, I mean, I’ll always accompany you. Wherever you go,” you stuttered slightly, staring into the blue, vibrant eyes which formed a perfect contrast with the orange hues of autumn. As the forest whispered its melody and the leaves rustled, Ivar closed the distance between you, his lips meeting yours in a passionate kiss. His lips molded perfectly against yours, igniting passion that had smoldered beneath the surface.
A kiss you never forgot - your first one under the rain of changing leaves.
