i’m just genuinely curious in this. i know people don’t like taylor or her fans (ngl y’all are based in that at times) but i want to know if people would rather spend time with a massive hater or a massive fan

regretting running the poll on my main blog cause now i wanna write a essay on the data when it’s finished but if i want to submit it for grad school apps i gotta link my tumblr account

realizing that people who are voting anti swiftie in my poll aren’t leaving comments cause i came down SUPER hard on not being a asshole in the tags of else they get blocked because i, understandably, was going off of years of bullying/hate comments on the internet and didn’t want to deal with that (especially since i pre made the poll coming off of a random anti-swiftie blog going out of their way to harass swifties minding their own buisness) but also realizing that means i will get data from anti swifties but won’t get their reasoning if they had it, which sucks cause that was one of the things i really enjoyed with my first poll (not counting g the five people who wrote paragraphs on how they loathe taylor and swifties) but also can’t be upset cause i wrote the rules and they’re either following it or preemptively blocking me (valid and based)

Okay I have a way to make the date poll more interesting/effective, but I know you said in the post you’re trying to get a specific outcome. It’s just that you said they don’t get to control what kind of swiftie they get, but outlined a golden non toxic fan who just likes to talk about music while the anti-swiftie is kind of vague. So maybe you could outline some common anti swiftie arguments OR describe what the “bad” end of the swiftie pool could be to you.

My bestie is technically an anti swiftie and I honestly enjoy talking about class and privilege more than “rep TV hidden clues” especially in real life. There’s like…a good and bad to anti swifties as well as swifties. I guess in general I’m hater aligned because I love criticism rather than uncritical stan aligned despite calling myself a swiftie.

hey!! thank you for sharing this! i did want to just do it generally so i did the basic swiftoe or anti-swiftie. but i could run it again and try to differentiate each type? i’ll have to think about it but that’s a good idea, though your right my poll was for a specific answer so it was more general.
