SOCIAL DISTANCING DAY 240. Thanksgiving, in order. 1. [Marj turned off the music] “Let’s listen to the cranberries pop. It’s one of the best sounds of the year.” I took a little video then stopped because it was ruining the moment. 2. Dog show! 3. Kids showed up after Marj spent the whole day cooking but it was nice. Marj’s sisters came by and stood outside in the gray morning light to exchange pie, sweet potatoes and cheese balls (each brought one of her specialities) and we stood six feet apart in the carport and had an abbreviated Thanksgiving visit. 4. Before! Ted produced the bottle of wine he got from his workplace last summer that we were waiting for a special occasion to enjoy. 5. After. 6. You know you’re running low on storage containers when you end up putting the leftover sweet potatoes in the green Depression glass refrigerator box. 7. I’m cleaning up the kitchen don’t look don’t look I’ll be done soon. I was playing Nick Lowe relatively loudly. 8. Marj was watching Portlandia when I got done with dishes. I joined. It’s very funny. 9. & 10. To give the sisters this morning but to stay out of Marj’s way, last night I stayed up and made Chex Mix.
