Hi, here it is! I decided to take an sad turn to the story because I didn't know how to make this fluff lmao. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!

No matter how long Axel and Scholar had been together, there was something that was always in the back of the couple’s mind. Distance. They had been together for nearly a year now but every time they were away from each other due to Axel’s schedule. He was always at the studio, touring or busy with something else, which affected his time with his significant other.

Scholar stared at their laptop’s clock, looking at the hour. 2 am. He was going to miss their weekly video call. They sighed, running their hands through their hair. The call was scheduled for 1 am. He promised that he was going to show up. They hadn’t really spoken to each other since the beginning of the winter break.

Feeling sleepy, Scholar closed their laptop and left it at the desk.

The only thing that was going to comfort them tonight was their bed.

The next days were filled with Scholar packing their things, ready to go back to Arlington after the winter break. Somehow their room didn’t seem like it was theirs anymore, which gave Scholar more motivation to pack their things. Besides all the pressure, Arlington felt more like a home than their childhood house.

Carrying their bags downstairs so they would be all set for tomorrow, Scholar saw their father sitting on the couch with a worried look on his face. He was watching some type of gossip program, which was odd.

“Since when do you like this type of show?” Scholar said, sitting next to their father.

“Jesus kiddo, don’t scare your old man like that.” He replied, putting his hand over his chest. “I was switching channels but saw this.” He pointed at the tv, which was playing a video of Axel on a loop. “Isn’t this your...uh...boyfriend?”

The video was of Axel with his hand over a girl’s shoulder. The girl in question being Gianna Portinari, a famous Italian model. According to the show’s host, the video was taken by a fan of the show who was on vacation in Italy and saw the “couple” walking through the streets of Milan in the early morning.

Scholar quickly connected the dots. There was a six-hour difference between their city and Italy. 2 am where they lived meant 7 am in Italy. Axel ditched them so he could hang out with a girl.

Scholar ran to their room, grabbed their phone and hit call. Nothing. They called seventeen times until they were finally tired of calling. It was going straight to voicemail.

The teen felt like throwing their phone across the room, but they knew it wasn’t worth it. They would also not have money to replace it.

The day they were desperately waiting for finally arrived. It was time to go back to Arlington. The flight had gone well, as Scholar slept during the entire trip. As they landed, anxiety started to grow on them, they would have to face their boyfriend and probably the end of their relationship.

At the airport, Scholar got in a taxi that would drive them to Arlington. Car drives aren’t as relaxing when your mind can’t stop creating scenarios of how your relationship will end.

After paying the driver and taking their bags from the taxi, Scholar found themselves in front of Arlington Academy, ready to start another semester. They spotted Claire and Raquel talking near the dorms and walked to them.

“Scholar! Nice to see you again! How was the break? Did you and your dad have fun?” Raquel said warming her friend into a tight hug.

“Yeah, we had some fun. The break was normal I guess, I had time to recharge batteries.” Scholar replied trying not to sound sad.

“We saw the thing about Axel.” Claire announced. “And we’re here for you if you need us.”

“Thanks girls.” Scholar thanked their friend, wanting to end the conversation there.

The cold wind of January made Scholar hold on tight to their coat. They said goodbye to their friends and walked to their room.

The room seemed empty, as they weren’t there for a month. Scholar opened their bags, ready to unpack their clothes and put things where they belonged.

As they were going to start to put their jackets in the clothes hangers in the wardrobe, someone knocked at the door.

Opening the door, Scholar was greeted by their boyfriend, who was holding a rose bouquet.

“Hi.” Axel said, ready to enter the room.

“No.” Scholar closed the door on his face, not wanting to deal with that in the moment.

“Oh come on! Don’t be like that, corazón!” He yelled from outside, knocking at the door again.

Scholar rolled their eyes. They knew how their boyfriend was and knew that they weren’t going to give up until they had want they wanted. Scholar opened the door again and motioned for him to come in.

“First of all, thank you for letting me in.” He said, earning a bored look from his lover. “And second, I bought you this.” He gave Scholar the bouquet, not receiving the energy he was expecting. “You look nice.”

“You’re not getting out of this with flowers and compliments, Axel.” Scholar said putting the bouquet in the desk.

“What did I do now?” Axel said, massaging his temple with his fingers. “It’s about me and Gia, right?”

“Gia? God, you even have a nickname for her.”

“Scholar, baby, Gia and I are just friends.” Axel walked to his partner, who stepped back. “And why are you acting like this all of a sudden?”

“Why? Because I’m the one dating you! I shouldn’t have to compete with your supermodel flings!” Scholar screamed, grabbing their phone and searching for photos of Axel with other people. “Look! If I search Axel the suggestions are either your songs or you with other girls and guys! Axel and Gianna Portinari, Axel and Taylor Covington, Axel and Rowan Harvey, Axel and Peyton Easterling...do you want me to go on?”

“I get it, I get it, I go out with a lot of celebrities, so what? I’m not even friends with them! It’s called a publicity stunt!” Axel yelled back. “You never had a problem with it before.”

“I didn’t, but now I have! You are always seen with someone new acting all lovey dovey and…” Scholar felt their eyes get watery. “and I get jealous. You ditched our last video-call.”

“Because I was busy! I have a career, Scholar! I’m sorry can’t dedicate all of my time to you!”

“Busy walking down the streets of Milan with a supermodel? Give me a break!” Tears fell down Scholar’s cheeks, exposing their vulnerability to their significant other.

“Scholar, come on. You know that I love you. And what does it matter if I spend time with other people? I don’t kiss them, I don’t even know their names sometimes! I’m a performer, I perform to the paparazzi.” Axel himself was starting to cry.

“It’s just hard. You’re never here. I’m competing for your attention with other people all the time and I keep losing. It’s unfair.” They confessed.

“Unfair? Scholar, I always come back to you.” Axel put his hands over Scholar’s shoulders. “You don’t need to compete with anyone, I’m yours. I’ve always been, since day one.”

“You’re mine when it’s convenient to you. You’re mine when you have the time.” Scholar pushed him away gently. “It’s tiring. I can’t keep pretending that you having dates with other people doesn’t affect me, even if are just publicity stunts.”

“I’m sorry. I’m going to stop, I promise.” The words escaped Axel’s mouth almost instantly. Even himself knew he was lying. He had no control over his public relationships.

“Don’t lie to me, please don’t lie to me.” Scholar whispered, their heart beating faster and faster every minute. “I think you should leave.”

“Corazón.” Axel tried to reach for his lover, who couldn’t even look him in the eyes.

“Leave. Just leave, Axel.” Scholar muttered, not wanting to deal with him or the situation.

Axel sighed, walking towards the door. As the door closed behind him, he knew that he had lost them. He wanted to scream at them, for not understanding his side but deep down he knew Scholar was right. Axel should have thought about they felt. That didn’t matter anymore, he had already lost Scholar. He had nothing to lose now.

Scholar fell to the ground as they realized what just had happened. They wanted to blame Axel for being selfish and prioritizing his career over his lover, but if they were in his place, they would do the same. He had much to lose.

Both of them could say that they were unfair to each other, but at the end of the day, we all make sacrifices, either for our careers or for our feelings and mental health. Unfairness is part of the world, neither Axel nor Scholar could run away from it.

Heya! Regarding Sweet Elite, I'm curious what languages do main 10 speak? How many do they know? <3

Heya :),

Alistair only speaks English.

Axel knows besides English Spanish.

Claire speaks French and English. She knows French since her family is from France originally.

Ellie speaks English and French too! Ellie knows French since she is from Québec, Canada.

So you can imagine the fun banter between Ellie and Claire 😂.

Karolina: She speaks Czech since that's her maternal language, and she's a Czech citizen. She speaks Polish and Slovak as well, and knows conversational how to speak conversational French and Italian because of her modeling career.

Neha speaks Bengali, Marathi and Hindi besides English.

Raquel's maternal language is Portuguese as her family is from Brazil before they migrated to the States.

Tadashi speaks Japanese and English, but knows a little Mandarin and Korean.

Like his sister Karolina, Tegan speaks Czech, English, Polish and Slovak, but he knows some words in Russian and Japanese because of the games he plays.

Tyler only speaks English, but Ellie has taught him how to cuss in Québécois French! So watch him say Tabarn*k etc. 😂 and his other best friend Tegan has shown him a couple of words in Czech.

SE Appreciation Week:  a moment you would change day 3 - Changing Tyler’s introduction

@sweeteliteweek WEDNESDAY - a moment you would change ⌛everyone surely has at least one scene that they wish had gone in another way, a sentence they would have said differently, or a scene they would have loved to see with different characters. any minor changes to the original story are welcome on this day!

I love Sweet Elite with all my heart and my second favorite LI only after Karolina is Tyler Williams. In that way, I personally would like his introduction and first interactions to had been handled differently to make him more appealing and known. 

Ways I imagine it could be done:

Introducing Tyler on Chapter 1, Scholar could bump into him running late for the photo session. Instead of being Tadashi who explains what happens, a funny scene could be done with Tyler and Scholar semipanicking at the short time they have to get ready.

If met on Chapter 2, meeting him alone would have more impact since I think we get the vibes of him being mainly “Tegan’s bff”:

Running into him in the dormitories hallway as he is arriving carrying his heavy luggage containing all his artistic stuff.

As Scholar explores the school, meeting him in the Arts classroom and having a cute exchange where he talks about art and maybe his parents.

 If we keep the way we meet him which is with Tegan, he decides to go to Raquel’s party and we can choose to dance with him, Axel and Raquel.

If chapters 1 and 2 are kept untouched, for chapter 3 I think having the opportunity to interact with him alone would make more natural the decision of asking him to be Scholar’s partner for the gym class instead of again meeting him while he is with Axel and Tegan. It didn’t feel natural for me to ask him if Scholar hasn’t talked much with him, especially considering Axel and Tegan have very awesome introductions.

6. If a LI had a crush on your scholar, who would it be and why would they have the crush ?

I'm excluding Axel and Tegan here.

Yumeji: Except Axel I think Raquel is the most likely to have a crush on her. I can imagine them constantly challenging eachothers, since they're in the same department and are both super competitive, or her being surprised and super embarrased when Yumeji flirts back at her.

Sarah: Hmm i'm not sure but if I really had to choose somebody I'd say Tadashi, but only after his arc. Since she's the type of person who always try to makes peoples feel better and is a really good listener, I can definitely see the two of them getting closer during the Nakano scandal, she'd be a good emotional support for him and that's where a potential crush could happen. But honestly I can't see a better match for her than Tegan.

10. Who would be the most romantic person between the LI and your scholar? Why?

Yumeji: Definitely Axel, but only when they're alone. I can see him loving PDA but rarely doing anything because of his career (he'll never forgive himself if Yumeji got into a scandal and end up receiving hates) except maybe some hands holding under the table from times to times or quick forhead kisses when nobody's watching. He often write love songs with her in mind, making sure to put things that only the two of them know about in them so she'll know that they were meant to her even if they end up being out for the public.

Sarah : Loooves physical affection and pet names but it's hard for her to not be super embarassed just at the thought of holding Tegan's hand. She is way to shy and insecure to initiate anything at first, but after being together for some times she'll get more comfortable and would definitely be the more romantic out of the two, always grabbing Tegan's arm and telling him how lucky she feels to be with someone as sweet as him . She wish he were a little bit more enterprising sometimes though, since she often feels like she isn't really loved by the peoples around her and need some reassurance.

It had been a week since Axel had been to The Tonight Show with Timmy Falcon. It also had been a week since Scholar and him had stopped talking. All because he was too afraid to face the consequences of his actions.

Axel knew there were risks, he was a teenage superstar, everybody wanted a piece of him, so it was stupid to think that he would be able to go on a date without nobody noticing. It was obvious that someone would sneakily take a picture of him and Scholar as they were leaving a fancy restaurant.

Scholar felt the world cave in on their shoulders. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong. The media was calling them Axel’s mysterious affair and his fans were attacking them non-stop on social media, commenting on their weight, their looks, their hair, everything. Having their privacy being violated and being criticized wasn’t even the thing that hurt more.

Scholar opened their laptop, going over to the show’s MeTube channel and clicking on the snippet where Axel was talking about their date.

“So Axel, tell me how your date with your mysterious affair went?” Timmy asked, making the audience go wild.

“Oh, it definitely wasn’t a date. We are just friends. ”  Axel replied jokingly to Timmy.

His words cut deeper than a knife. How could he say that with a smile on his face? How could he deny it in front of the audience and the millions of people watching at home, including them? Scholar didn’t understand, and they didn’t want to try to understand.

Scholar grabbed their phone, unlocking it. They had a lot of missing messages and calls from Axel that they were successfully ignoring. Shrugging off the thoughts about Axel, Scholar grabbed their bag and left the dorm, going straight to the cafeteria where their friends were waiting for them.

The cafeteria was full of students, who were commenting about Axel and how delusional Scholar was for thinking that they could even have a chance with someone like him. Although gossip was cruel and unnecessary, Scholar didn’t blame their classmates for their comments. People who would watch them and Axel together at the Academy would see Scholar pining over Axel and him always reciprocating with a smile or something like that.

God, Scholar was making a fool out of themself in front of the whole School and nobody bothered to tell them.

Grabbing a black coffee and a croissant from the cafeteria, Scholar made their way to the table where their friends were saving a spot for them. Scholar sat between Ellie and Tegan who were anxiously waiting for Scholar to say something.

“So, are you gonna tell us how are you feel or will we have to torture you for information?” Ellie joked, trying to light up the mood.

“I feel great.” Scholar ironized, furiously taking a bite of their croissant.

“Oh no.” Tegan whispered to himself, but loud enough to catch Scholar and Ellie’s attention. “Tyler just texted me that Axel arrived at the academy.”

“Great, now I have to ignore him in person.” Scholar took a sip of their beverage, while trying to figure out how to avoid Axel for the rest of the day. “And now that he’s here people will start to comment even more, nice.”

Scholar quickly ate the rest of their breakfast and left the cafeteria, deciding to hide in the auditorium until it was time to go to class. Scholar figured out that it was a place big enough to hide and that Axel wouldn’t think to search for them there.

Sitting in the front row, Scholar let their body drown in the seat being occupied. Dr. Kim wouldn’t be here until the next hour and then, Scholar would already be gone for at least 20 minutes so they didn’t even care about locking the door.

Reaching for their purse, Scholar took out their phone and earphones and opened their playlist on Spacify, putting it on shuffle. As all odds were against Scholar, it started playing a song from Axel’s new album. The album he was promoting on the show where he was asked what they were. 

The words “Just friends” still echoed on Scholar’s head, making all the rage and sorrow they had been fighting and trying to get rid of since last week come back. As Scholar released a breath that they didn’t know were holding, the auditorium’s door opened, announcing that someone had entered. 

There he was, the reason why Scholar had to walk facing the ground when walking the halls of Arlington Academy. As Axel made his way to Scholar, they were already walking towards the other exit door.

“Scholar, wait!” Axel said. He was lucky, Scholar decided to not leave. 

“What?” Scholar turned around, walking towards him. “What do you want?”

“I want to say…” Axel had rehearsed this scenario in his head multiple times like he would rehearse for his interviews. “That I’m sorry.”

“You’re sorry? After all that you caused the only thing you came up with is sorry? Jesus Axel, you really don’t care about us, do you?”

“Care about us? Scholar, I’ve been calling you and texting you since that day and all you do is ignore me, if there’s someone who doesn’t care about us here is you!”

“Oh, so now it’s my fault? Well I wasn’t the one who went to TV and denied that there was something between us. I was the one dealing with comments saying things like how guys like you don’t go for people like me or how dumb the paparazzi must be for thinking that someone that looks like me would have a chance with internacionally famous Axel.” Scholar spoke, feeling their voice fail and their eyes get watery. 

“I’m sorry. I should have said something. I should have controlled my fans and say how they were hurting one of my most important friends.” The boy tried to save the conversation, not wanting Scholar to leave thinking that he didn’t care about their feelings or well-being.

“Important friend? Is that what I am to you?” Scholar muttered, not letting Axel talk. “We’re not just friends and you fucking know it.”

Axel, who was on the verge of crying, didn’t know how to explain. He liked...he loved them, he wanted to protect Scholar from his fame and all of the bad things it brought with it. His fame privated him from normal things teens would do like go to the movies or even go on a date with someone he was in love with. 

“I know we’re not friends, Scholar.” Axel replied to their snarky comment. “Friends don’t go on dates at fancy restaurants, friends don’t sleep on the same bed and friends don’t get romantic songs written about them.”

Scholar then remembered the song they were listening to before Axel came in. Nobody But You. It suddenly clicked. Axel, the guy who didn’t like to write or perform romantic songs, wrote a romantic song for them.

“Scholar, corazón, the only reason why I said we were friends it’s because I didn’t want you to get any hate, or get you hurt. I know how the media can demonize you to the point where the only thing you want to do is scream.” Axel walked in their direction, grabbing their hands. “Nothing makes me more scared than the thought of hurting you, and that’s what I did and for that, I’m sorry.”

“Oh Axel.” Scholar’s soft hands reached for his face, caressing it. Axel had dark circles under his eyes, signals of sleepless nights. “I’m sorry for treating you like this, baby.”

“It’s okay. I should have told the truth, you are my amazing partner.” His hands found Scholar’s waist, pulling them closer to him. “Can I kiss you, corazón?”

Scholar smiled, giving him permission. His lips were as soft as they remembered.  It didn’t matter what people thought, they weren’t just friends, they were each other’s soulmate.

Chapter 9 thoughts! 🎃👻 (Not a review in any way, I'm just gonna scream about the chapter)

First of all, you CANNOT believe how many screenshots I took. It's like 1 line out of 4 was comedic gold. I counted and I have exactly a HUNDRED screenshots.

Ariel? The backgrounds? The costumes? THEY BLEW ME AWAY! Anytime a new character appeared on screen with their outfit I was screeching 😂 Especially Karolina. She was killing it. It made me consider making another side account. Love the Alice madness returns trio: Ellie as Alice, Tyler as the mad hatter and Tegan as Cheshire cat. You really did God's work 😔✊🙏🙏

Now to the chapter in general and the writing: at the moment I only played on my Claire account! I'll do Alistair later👌

Love how we start the chapter with Tadashi ALREADY being annoyed. Dick-shaped balloons? Tadashi saying "spooky vibes"? The "WhEn WiLL yOu LeArN tHaT yOuR aCtIoNs HaVe CoNsEqUeNcEs?!?" meme but Tadashi style? Perfect.

The interactions with Claire were absolutely adorable. I thought I would panic when the first dialogue option showed up but it's Claire, so it wasn't hard to figure out! She's so sweet and I love her. The part where Scholar is praising her cooking and she's like "that's the perks of being French!" After that, how she gave Scholar a box full of cookies because she's worried about her skipping meals? CUTE. And the study group where Raquel and Axel are calling out Claire on her obvious crush? Bruh. That's some backstabbing, poor bby Claire 😖���

Then, the next arc tease! I think it's the "FAXION" thing! So it's either Karol's arc or Neha's? Or both at the same time maybe? I'm interested: how is it gonna play out? A fashion competition where all the main 10 will somehow get involved sounds unlikely, so I guess it's like Tadashi's arc where everyone helps? Or something like that? But I have no idea what kind of problem can arise in a fashion competition 🤔

After that, we have the first illustration! Scholar is a cutie!!! Looking at herself all proud 😎 wish I had that level of self-confidence, when I pass in front of a mirror I don't even want to look at myself 😂

Then the party... Tadashi looking like he was DEAD while all the others look fabulous in their Halloween costumes... Poor Dashi. But love how he was terrified of the Arlingtonator, it's so precious that even though he's always so composed and serious he still believes in stuff like that 😆 Raquel was about to call him a p u s s y. Bruh.

I love the whole team messing with Tadashi but poor guy. He was really trying to protect his friends first before himself, he's so sweet I love him 😭

Later on, when Scholar was looking at Claire and she's like "oh yeah I was just checking you out UH- I mean the outfit! I was checking out the outfit!" I felt that cringe Scholar must've gone through 😂

Now. The next scene. The next scene took the crown for me. I LAUGHED. You guys cannot imagine how rare it is for me to audibly laugh when I'm reading something. I really stopped for a few seconds and kept staring at the screen while laughing. Andy "I CaN't WrItE cOmeDy" bruh no. The AMOUNT of happiness this gave me 😂 please, next time instead of 250 pages write 300 thank you 😌 (I'm only kidding! Serena will lose her mind)

I think I might or might not have this whole scene screenshoted. All the dialogue kills me.

"Al, consider our friendship cancelled."

"PIKI PIKI."

"Tomorrow? You're all dead to me."

This scene will stay in my mind and in my heart. Andy thank you for the amazing food 👏👏 I believe this will stay "iconic" in the fandom 😂

Then we had the party wrap up, of course I chose to play boardgames with Karol, Neha and Claire since this is Claire's account. And I gotta say, I LOVE IT. Karolina looks so happy for once, I couldn't believe it. I also love how Claire is clearly a bit chubby, I want to hug her 💖💗 (or how the internet says: "Thicc" I guess) I got the achievement "in front of MY boardgame?" or something along those lines because Karolina was complaining that Scholar and Claire are flirting 😎

Then we got the spooky stories and a terrified Tadashi begging for his life... god this better not awaken anything in me 😂

And finally the last scene with Claire... God it was so ufozkfhzuhdkdpzjrudozrydo 💗💖💕💝💘💖💗💕💝💘

Words cannot express the diabetes I got from that fricking scene...

Anyways!!! As you can see this really wasn't a review at all, just me gushing about sweet elite like always. Is anyone surprised? The only bad thing about this chapter was that it was so sweet that I wanted even more wholesomeness after it was already over 😭 and I know that next arc is going to be even harsher than Tadashi's from what the SE team told us... goodbye happy times, I'll wait for the christmas/new year chapter for more heartwarming stuff. Hopefully it's chapter 12 or 13 🤞🤞 (Well, okay, I admit I'm also looking forward to the angst. I can go through any pain if there's happiness at the end 😔✊)

Sweet Elite Chapter 8

So I have finally finished playing the last chapter! You would think I’d hate playing a game where I’m in school when IRL college is kicking my ass, but to each their own, LOL.

Anyways, I finished playing it and though I found it enjoyable, I’m not all that sure I truly enjoyed it. I normally don’t make my own reviews of the game and just leave comments on ones posted by others, but I decided to post it because why not!

First off, I like to write my little fanfics for my enjoyment (I’ve never posted any of them, but I have them in existence via USB lol). I’m probably gonna reference what I’ve written for Tadashi’s arc for comparison, so don’t try looking for them!

When I play Sweet Elite, I also like to record my screen so I can keep track of my choices (and compare what happens to what I wrote). A single playthrough for the first time and this is the longest I’ve spent on a chapter, a whole 2 hours and a half! Not a bad thing of course considering it was a major arc and expected to be on the longer side. But I feel like for the length, I didn’t get much Love Interest interactions because you’re forced to spend fairly equal amount of time with everyone (I played on my Tadashi account first since I had the most AP on that one).

I shall start with things I liked about the chapter, which wasn’t much to be honest?

1 - Tadashi not knowing what the Grammy’s was is hilarious to me (and also kinda sad because that kinda shows how much of a childhood he lacked since the average person would at least know the name!). That whole interaction was nice to see since it showed TadAxel having a non-arguing conversation, but the “Granny’s” was a major highlight.

2 - Neha hinting once again that she might be a scholarship student (because mentioning that scholarship students don’t have to advertise that they’re one is a major thing to introduce and not expect me to run with). And I interpreted how she responded to Karolina supporting Tadashi despite the scandal more of her being a bit jealous because I can only imagine how she’d react if Neha actually is a scholarship student (though Tadashi becoming one himself might soften Karolina up into accepting that your parents’ money doesn’t make you almighty).

3 - Ellie just being Ellie. Lordy she’s adorably terrifying and those are the best short friends to have because they keep you on your toes (and are totally down to hunting for the obscure or raiding Area 451).

4 - Tyler basically being how I felt playing as Scholar because the whole “I’m not doing shit while everyone else is offering something major in their super-awesome ways” was easy to recognize with.

So my first complaint is the convoluted plan to get Tadashi proven innocent/uninvolved in Hiroshi’s yakuza crap. I get the whole lie to the dad to make him think he’s on his side thing since it would get him half of his money back. But what I envisioned in my head and wrote down centered around my Scholar recording the conversation between Tadashi and his dad (which Tadashi did himself, which still makes it a viable plot-point) and them using the script/email from the lawyer and the bank statements of his dad taking all of his money to show him as a victim?

The video idea wasn’t bad and was also something I wrote for my BCP Scholar fanfiction (she’s marketing and PR with her own little company managing social media accounts, so the idea and image control was her main addition to help out). So I don’t know if I’m just being my biased ass self and preferring my solution (release the proof of blackmail, show Tadashi is a victim, have Tegan hack Nakano Corp.’s CCTV/security footage to get timestamps of Tadashi not being present for mafia meetings, have him testify against his father).

None of what was shown in the video could have really proven any sort of innocence to be honest. Tadashi could’ve easily pulled whatever texts and emails he wanted, so unless he showed the one from the lawyer essentially extorting him to testify in his father’s favor, I don’t see how that on its own would have helped with anything. 

Adding the recording to the beginning of the video during editing would have been something to warrant all the positive response to the video. I know the recording is used to try and force Nakahoe Senior into giving Tadashi the rest of his money, but it was also the only logical way to prove Tadashi was without a doubt a victim too (and Tegan could easily get the money back himself or there could have been something about the mom, which I’m gonna talk about later in this post).

IRL, people would point out that Tadashi could easily be lying through his teeth about not being involved. So that’s kind of a plot-hole since getting the public to see Tadashi in a positive light is important to getting the school board to let him stay (which was incredibly dumb to me because are you really gonna tell me there aren’t students at the school with openly corrupt/mafia/mob/gangster parents using dirty money to keep their children in attendance???) (yes, Jack, I’m talking about your ass).

I could understand forcing him to step down as student body president since Arlington has the position kinda Anime styled where the president is the face of the school and has an absurd amount of responsibility and power (as proven by Ellie’s story of the previous president and the fact that Tadashi can veto someone getting academic amnesty). Them removing him from office was something I expected (though my fanfic had him helping pick a replacement for the rest of the year since that’s how it was done at my old private school). But not wanting him to attend school even though his family could easily pay for his tuition was very out there to me. I suppose having someone with a negative reputation could reflect badly on a top school, but I’m pretty sure private schools need justifications to expel someone and expelling them based on their parents actions seems very illegal to me.

But anyways, the super computer plot to hack Nakahoe Senior’s information was also very weird to me. I justified it by telling myself Scholar is in a school of super rich, super intelligent teenagers, so maybe the most simple approach doesn’t come to mind (I know first hand that smart people have a tendency to overlook the simple solutions without meaning to). It makes sense to make their own computer to not be traced overall, but the purpose it was needed for didn’t make much sense in the grand scheme of things (because they didn’t really use the information they found, so what was the point of finding it other than being a hundred percent sure on Hiroshi being corrupt?).

And then while I was playing and listening to my commentary, I again was reminded about how confused I was that calling Hiroshi in jail and keeping him on the line long enough to trace the transaction was necessary? Because I don’t think that’s how that works? If it was to track his location, then maybe, but I don’t think Tegan would need Tadashi to keep Hiroshi on the line to trace a bank transaction or get into Hiroshi’s accounts (but that’s me being nitpicky I think).

Then what they found, IE the gibberish in the calendar descrambling to “Yakuza” was a major asspull while I was playing. I wondered why Nakahoe Senior, AKA the Inglorious Bastard and Chessmaster of the arc, would make it so obvious? Let alone actually put that in his planer... If there was a meeting every Friday evening, I figured introducing this would at least lead to something where Tegan finds a way to prove Tadashi wasn’t present or active even phone call wise because he could get the call logs too. Yeah, the emails are important, but wouldn’t footage or flights be better at proving he wasn’t there?

Then Tadashi’s mother, who was never truly introduced, but teased really. It was set up in a way that my fanfic had Nakahoe Senior threatening to setup Tadashi for the fall if she didn’t convince him to testify in Hiroshi’s favor because Alistair mentions how protective she normally is of Tadashi and even Tadashi says that his mom was frantic over the phone. So I don’t know, I was hoping for something with her since she was brought up.

But my major complaint about the story was that Scholar has little influence on what goes on. At first, I thought there would be options based on your Department and maybe your choices during the Department Competition (you pick your concentration during the presentation). Essentially, I was expecting to be asked to pick a task I would do best in (in this playthrough’s case, I expected to be able to help with PR because for the competition, I picked Sociology which is essential in marketing research).

I also expected something similar for others. Business would get to come up with a marketing and PR scheme, utilizing Axel, Karolina, and Neha. Performing Arts or Fine Arts would get to help edit and fine tune the video or make a smear campagne against Nakahoe Senior with Tyler and Raquel. Pure and Applied would get to code with Tegan or build with Ellie. Health Sciences (or any department because you’re Arlington’s Sweetheart) would get to work with Alistair (who knows Tadashi best) and Claire to make Tadashi’s script and showcase him to the world as a victim (which he really is in this situation).

But that didn’t happen. The only things Scholar really does is buy computer parts and talk to Claire and ask her to help Tadashi (and suggest Tadashi ask Neha for help too). Which was a major asspull because during that section before where the group is talking about who should help him write something from the heart, I was expecting (and super hyped for) Scholar to finally have the chance to be useful. They weren’t, not even for Tadashi’s campaigning since all that they did was talk to a few students (which I know is good for campaigning, but not really helpful in the grand scheme of things) (especially because by default, Scholar isn’t good at these things even if you’re in a department that’s necessary). I got really happy thinking Scholar would do anything that justifies them being involved as “human resources.”

Then being thanked for not really do anything but being the spectator and emotional support friend kinda bothered me. I’m all for that and sometimes you just need that one friend that’s good at being a support unit (AKA the mom). But even though Tadashi says that Scholar was his main inspiration to defy his parents, that’s not really helping him do that? 

How was Scholar instrumental to anything going on? “Waste a couple hours finding pieces for a super computer, something anyone could search for because you can’t code or build things even if you’re in Pure and Applied,” “Go ask Claire to help Tadashi write his speech only for Tadashi to appear and ask her to himself because she would, by default, help anyways and you’re not good at writing a heartfelt speech (which Scholar technically isn’t, but should be if there were more options or at least acknowledged in this situation because why bring up the whole Arlington Sweetheart thing?),” “Get some rest, you deserve it even though you did absolutely nothing beside deliver the computer parts and suggest asking Neha to help.”

To be honest, Scholar may not be as static/pre-determined as most otome games, but Scholar doesn’t have much variety that actually impacts the story. What you’re good and bad at is already determined (like the essay and presentation; you’re automatically not good at it even if you’re Performing Arts or BCP and interested in things that, you know, require being able to give a good presentation).

I would prefer waiting longer to have more meaningful options than getting something quicker and not really being able to do much. Like during the competition where we eavesdrop on people and see the story unfold, that’s what this chapter pretty much was for me.

Sweet Elite Main 10 Reaction to a Female Scholar having heterochromia:

Tadashi:

• He would be really fascinated about it

• Scholar's type of heterochromia was really rare

• Her eyes were both blue but her left eye was a really light blue and her right eye was a really dark blue

• He would love it

• But also ask a lot about it

• Because heterochromia can have a lot of reasons

• It can be part of a genetic disease, a tumor or other disorders

• So he would also be worried

• But he would be really relieved when Scholar said it was only genetic and a lot of people of her family had it

• He doesn't like when you use contact lenses

• But if that's really what you want he would respect your decision

• When Scholar and him started dating he would also discover that Scholar is really insecure about it

• So he would compliment her about it every single day

• But also would be a little jealous

• On a situation he would be like

• Put arms around Scholar shoulders

• "What's going on, Ax?"

• "Everyone is looking at us"

• "You're a super famous worldwide celebrity, what you expect them to do?"

• "They're looking at you and how pretty you are. I gotta make sure that everyone here knows that I'm yours and you're mine."

Tegan:

• I imagine him having a reaction very similar to Tadashi's

• Scholar left eye was brown and your right eye was blue

• Asks a lot about it

• But he would be more shy

• Always that she smiles he would blush

• Almost everything Scholar does would make him blush

• But he would also don't "care" much about it like

• "It's a part of you that I love but if it wasn't there it wouldn't matter because you would still be you and I would still love you just the way you are anyway"

• Not that good with compliments either but I think better than Tadashi

• But that wouldn't change nothing between you and him

• He doesn't treat you differently of anyone else

• But deep inside he would really love it

• He and Scholar were playing videogames

• And she started to distract him with her eyes and would make him lose

• Scholar would be a cheater but a cheater he loves

Tyler:

• Scholar eyes were also really rare on this one

• Her left eye was amber and her right eye was violet

• He went crazy when discovered it

• Millions of paintings and sculptures about you

• "Why do you always paint me, Ty?"

• "Because you're my Inspiring muse now be quiet"

• Everything Scholar wanted to do and he didn't she would just wink twice and he'd accept anything

• "Being cute it's cheating, it's not fair"

• "That's low blow"

• Would compliment you A LOT

Alistair:

• Wow

• Just wow

• He discovered it by an accident

• Scholar was also from the Department of Athletics

• Scholar and him were training together

• Then her contact lenses started to drop

• "What's going on?"

• She would take the brown lenses revealing a left black eye and a right pink eye

• Paralyzed with your beauty

• "What?"

• "Nothing I...Just don't feel like training anymore"

• "So what do you wanna do?"

• "That"

• He kisses her

• He already liked you with brown eyes but having discovered your secret and having seen the real you was the incentive he needed to declare himself to you

• Of course Scholar liked him too and then they started dating

Karolina:

• Karolina was always mean to Scholar

• But she always cared about her anyway

• Which always made her confused and eventually made her fall in love with Scholar

• But Karolina always said bad things about Scholar eyes

• So when they started dating Scholar thought Karolina didn't like her eyes at all and used contact lenses

• "What are you doing?"

• "Putting my contact lenses."

• "Why?"

• "Because you don't like my eyes like that"

• Scholar left eye was green and Scholar right eye was blue and Karolina absolutely loved it

• She would feel guilty for having made Scholar feel that way

• She would also be happy for Scholar considering what she says but

• "You shouldn't take what people say about you so easily. If you feel great about your eyes that's what matters."

• "I don't like them that much either so..."

• But Claire was going to introduce Scholar to several other red and yellow flowers that she said matched much better

• Once she discovered she gave Scholar a small smile

• Her left eye was green and her right eye was blue with a little brown spot

• Because of that was hard to wear clothes that matched her eyes

• Neha took that as a professional challange

• Her designs always matched both of Scholar's eyes and they were awesome

• "You're so talented, Neha."

• "Your beauty gives me inspiration."

• Doesn't compliment much but when she does Scholar always gets happy because she knows her compliments are real

• Thinking about Scholar's eyes and her in general always makes her play soccer better

I’ve been meaning to write/edit/type this for months now! Sosorry for the wait but I’ve finally done it. I paired her up with an OC from one of my longer works in progress. I had fun imagining him int he modern day. Hope you enjoy!

Raquel leaned against the bar, thankful for all her cardio.Dancing in that crowd, even with all her conditioning, had taken it out of her.

“Just a water, please.” The bartender looked harried enoughthat he didn’t question the request. Although her I.D. tonight said she was 22,alcohol would make getting back into Arlington unnoticed even harder.

Raquel still couldn’t believe she’d said yes when Axelknocked on her door with a half-baked plan to sneak out, then sneak into one of the more exclusive clubs nearby. She’d almost closed the door, but hehad some pretty effective puppy eyes. His ridiculous disguise- big, nerd-chicglasses, bight beanie and baggy clothes- also piqued her interest. If Rockstarwanted a night out, he probably needed it. She’d seen how his latest breakuphad gotten to him. Most people underestimated how bad constant paparazzi couldget.

So, here she was, paying too much for a water undermulticolored strobe lights and squinting to find where her friend was. She finallysaw the bright beanie dancing in the crowd.

“Hey! I found someone else willing to pay four bucks for awater!”

The voice was muted under the music. It came from a lanky guywho had enough eyeliner on to rival Axel on a good day. Glittery eyeshadow, acolorful shirt, and tight leather pants completed the look. It wasn’t the moststylish, but Raquel liked it anyway.

She leaned in to respond with a wink. “You could buy meanother if you want!”

He laughed and she liked the sound of it.

“Unfortunately, I only had enough for a water and the entryfee, I’ll have to walk a lot of dogs to make up my losses.” He smiled at her. “Butit was worth it to meet you!”

She rolled her eyes and downed her water, then gestured tothe dance floor. She could keep an eye on Axel nearby. He was talking to hisown cute guy, in-between some shoddy dance moves. His choreographer probablywasn’t paid enough.

Long dark curls bounced as her new dance partner nodded excitedlyand finished his own drink. She waded through the bodies and let the rollingbass of the music take her away. He followed.

Raquel was a good dancer, but her new friend was somethingelse entirely. Long limbs managed to move gracefully in the crowded space. He followedher lead and they moved together in fun, silly ways, before joining the crowdin getting slowly lost in the pulsing beats.

What felt like an eternity later, she was startled to feel ahand spin her around. Axel looked anxious and flushed. His beanie and glasseswere gone.

“We gotta go!” A few girls stood nearby pointing and pullingout their phones. People were starting to look.

“Wait I have-“ Axel pulled her towards the edge of the crowdand she tried to find the boy she’d been dancing with.

Her eyes landed on his in the mass of people. Raquel only managedan apologetic smile and a wave goodbye before booking it to the door, justoutrunning the small mob of people who had finally recognized her friend.

“I told you that Clark Kent think wouldn’t work!”

Axel could barely side-eye her as he focused on their daringescape.

“It would have.” They burstout the doors and cool night air greeted them. “It fell off!”

Whoever this stranger was, he had kicked the hell out of thatrogue soccer ball! Raquel ran over to make sure he wasn’t hurt.

“Nice kic-“ She was cut off as his eyes met hers. Glittery eyeshadowwas color-coordinated to match the school uniform, and an embroidered gym bagwas slung over one shoulder.

“Hey stranger. I never got your name!” He beamed at her and itlooked even nicer in good lighting. It made her giggle. She hoped it didn’t soundas silly as it felt.

“I’m Raquel. You must be the new scholarship student, Corbin,Right?”

“I’m famous already! Yeah, I got into the dancing programhere.” He rambled on about how excited he was, asking questions about her, the school,dress code, and anything else that seemed to pop into his head. Raquel was stilltrying to process seeing him in Arlington. Before long, she was beaming back athim, trying to answer his rapid-fire questions. Maybe this year would be moreinteresting than she’d thought.

here asking about Sweet Elite D&D classes~ Those are like my 2 main obsessions right now. I want to see if your opinions match my own.

Alistair - Fighter, with Champion as his archetype. Champions focus on raw physical strength and Alistair’s favourite sport is boxing so I feel like it fits. Also at level 7 Champions get a feat called ‘Remarkable Athlete’ and that’s literally Al. I can possibly see him multiclassing as Ranger just because of his dog back at home leading me to believe he’d appreciate an animal companion.

Ellie - Artificer but she totally multiclasses as a Trickery domain Cleric. Her patron? The Arlingtonator. As far as artificer subclasses go, I’m kinda leaning towards artillerist because then she can focus on creating magic objects to help her friends and let’s be honest, she can basically create the Death Ray she’s been dreaming about.

Axel - I mean obviously he’s a Bard and I’m thinking College of Glamour because that’s what he pretty much already is in-game. And then at level 14 he gets a feat called ‘Unbreakable Majesty’ and the description is “Your appearance permanently gains an otherworldly aspect that makes you look more lovely and fierce,” so basically he’s already got that lol.

Claire - Cleric, of course! Going by the little hints about her backstory we’ve already got in-game – the call Scholar overheard, the fact she volunteers at a hospital, and just overall how caring she is – I’d say Life Domain seems perfect. I’d also say she multiclasses as a Druid because of that scene in the first chapter with the plants in the garden.

Tadashi - Listen, bear with me on this one. Another Cleric but of the Knowledge Domain. I was really torn between this and Wizard because obviously Tadashi would make one badass Wizard but I’m ultimately leaning towards Cleric. I think it’d actually be a fun little contrast with Claire, for example, where Tadashi uses the powers given to him by his deity more like a booster and an opportunity to gain more knowledge. Also, the idea of the guy who cannot take care of himself healing others is hilarious to me. And hey, clerics don’t necessarily only have to heal.

Tegan - Now this is my Wizard right there. He has the intelligence for it, certainly, and I’m thinking Conjuration as his arcane tradition can kinda incorporate the programming thing. He can produce objects out of thin air and at level 6 he can teleport which I feel like he’d appreciate.

Raquel - Monk, Way of the Sun. Now Raquel’s one of those characters I had trouble with but come on, her body is a machine! She’s got all that monk stuff down and she’s gonna look good doing it too! Also, thanks to Way of the Sun, she can practically hurl bolts of lightning at her enemy so just imagine her yeeting one like it’s a football.

Tyler - Another Wizard! He has a photographic memory, he’s gonna do great as a Wizard! His Arcane Tradition is Illusion because it’s kinda like painting and let’s be fair, Tyler’s incredibly creative and just such a visual person in general he’s gonna ace it. Also imagine the mischief he, Tegan, and Ellie can get into!

Karolina - She and Neha were the hardest ones, I swear. I’ve been racking my brain and I finally decided on Sorcerer, with Pyromancy as the origin. First of all, Karolina is fire in every sense of the word, so why not make it literal? She’s a badass already as it is but imagine her just fucking incinerating her enemies. Also some extra tension in that twin dynamic with fire magic skipping a twin and only Karolina inheriting it.

Neha - I genuinely don’t know where to put Neha. Maybe Rogue because they’re just so cool and with Inquisitive as the archetype, she gets the feat Eye for Detail at level 3 and I feel like Neha already is very detail-oriented. But really, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
