Well, this took a little longer than I'd've liked but regardless, some recolors for my previously uploaded Add-On set to the FO3 Suburban Loveseat.
I have also updated the meshes, so if you downloaded them before, you may want to re-download them as I made them look less dark from certain angles.
Details -
28 Recolors. Aelia's Retro palette + a few extra, darker shades from various other palettes.

hi! I found another object that I'm going to overuse and decided to slap some patterns on it. Details, credits and download links below the cut.
DETAILS:
This is a recolor of 'The WhipperSnapper: Mach 10 Edition Rocker' Rocking chair from the Growing Together expansion pack.
Unfortunately, this means that Growing Together is required in order for these recolors to work. Sorry!
There are 14 various patterned swatches. You can see an unedited preview of all of them right here (edge smoothing off).

Patterns are mostly cute, baby themed patterns with some oddballs mixed in.

I was recently gifted 3000-ish yards of mohair yarn. Mohair has never really called to me so I've never bought it or worked with it before.
So... mohair fans: do you have any knitting or crochet pattern recommendations, preferably something quick and easy?
#i'm thinking about holding it two strands together with some regular yarn and just making the world's largest granny square afghan#it makes lovely soft drapey fabric but i did some test swatches and it's so horrible to work with (even worse than eyelash yarn)#yarn#pattern recommendations#mohair#(i would prefer to make anything except a sweater with it because i hate making sweaters but anything else is fine)

In my quest to be a mediocre knitter, I started with twenty stitches after my cast-on and ended with twenty-two
#art#fiber art#knit#described images#image description in alt#somebody described what needles you ought to use if you are a loose or a tight knitter and i didnt get it and now. i do.#my knit stitches are. incredibly tight. and it's hard on these bamboo needles#somebody else described knit as crochet but with all the loops being active and not completed and. yeah actually#i looked at the bottom of the swatch and it's really similar to the foundation chain i'd use for crochet#part of my struggle is not holding the yarn at all. i'm using english style (throwing the yarn over) but i'm not holding it at all LMAO#i still prefer crochet so far but knit fabric is very nice compared to crochet fabric#i love how colour changes look on knitted fabric. i feel crocheted fabric is a bit bulky due to the nature of crochet#crochet is still easier i think

my contrarian opinion is Swatch is younger than Sp*mton because (digital) spam is older than multicolor graphics
#dib noise#+ other reasons lol but#yes some computers of the time (70's) technically had color but it was more of a tint for the text than anything else#you didn't get readily available technicolor until later#is that contrarian. i stopped tracking popular opinion about this in 2022 because it was killing me#swatch.. late 30's early fourties. the other guy is in his fifties and up#basing that off irl dates though

so i have the diamine inkvent calendar, and i usually wait until the end of the month to sit down and swatch them all. which i'm still going to do, but we also pulled out a few and played with them a little over the weekend, and um. glacier???
i feel like this star bright formula is going to be a Problem for me. at least i have some pens with removable feeds, because there's no way i'm not putting this in a pen.
(this has also made clear how much fine motor control i've lost in the last year, so my 2024 goals might include trying to regain that.)

In my mind i dont think swatch necessarily hates spamton but spamton does think they hate him
#spamton#spamtonposting#swatch#swatchposting#in a sense i feel like spamton just thinks everybody hates them due to its circumstances and is extremely distrustful/disdainful to others#as a result#and especially hates ppl like swatch and the adds for believing them to be fake friends#(i include swatch in this cuz of the sweepstakes q&a)#but would swatch hold the same amount of contempt for spamton? To me not really#I think its more so that swatch is just uncomfortable around spamton due to its actions#And due to swatches personality is often annoyed by spamtons actions as well#Thought that doesnt necessarily equate to swatch hating him (or in my fanon at least… though even from a canon standpoint#i feel like swatch is more so annoyed and uncomfortable with spamton rather than actively despises them)#i think in afttp they would get more on friendly terms and become acquaintances after talking through their issues together#(but who knows i might make them friends eventually too? who knows..)#my headcanons#also sorry for not posting as much lately i got a new job recently and just been dealing w/ some personal stuff#to the point where i forget i can just posts my ruminating dr thoughts (which i used to do more often and i feel a lil bad for not doing so#as much now)#anyway thats all i dont have much else to say lol

#big swatches with pigment color are the tubes i got#everything else is mixed. only addition was some titanium white from w&n#both brands felt good to paint with holbein colors were more transparent#i did love the schmincke ones and im so mad about it
