On Sunday 29th July 2018 I continued on my journey as “Brand Ambassador” for the Swachhta Initiative pioneered by the “IIT Delhi Alumni Association”. Completing the adoption of Pahari Village. During the day we shared the schedule of improvements which have already begun and were joined by over 10 Sarpanch's of neighbouring villages. We were joined by Eckovation, which is an initiative designed to foster an environment in Public Schools of rural India that encourages active student and teachers participation while building conceptual understanding through animated and interactive video lectures. I specifically spent time adressing the attendees on the social impact these improvements are likely to have, as well as spending time speaking directly with members of the female population. I impressed upon them the need for ; awareness in female sanitation and in particular “Menstural hygiene”, 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao', “Plantation of trees” and positive participation of females in the scheduled works. During the day we visited the villages of Pahari and Dungarwas as well as surveyed public schools in the district of Rewari. Now it is time for the country to come together, as the improvement of where we live is important to us all. At some time or the other, we have all descended from village life in this country, for those of us who have moved on to cities, domestically or abroad, it is time to give back to where we come from, so we can all stand up together.
