Celine had been remarkably successful, getting the Sea Rose under her thumb. Their current partnership had been remarkably...lucrative in far more ways than one. But she wasn’t the sort of woman who went about resting on her laurels, especially when there was a kingdom to conquer. The Renegade was by far out of the question, and The Squall Eater was too far and out of the way for her to sink her claws into the crew. And so it left her with a single option left: The Gemini.
Her current target had just made it to the tavern, and Celine waited a full twenty minutes before approaching her at the bar. “One more for me, dear. And another for my companion.“ She ordered, the barkeep giving a curt nod before two pints of ale appeared in front of herself and the woman she had been watching on Kai’s ship. “You seem like you could use a drink, or several. Rough day, love?”

Viktor felt as though he had spent the night running a marathon when he got out of bed that morning, which was unusual given that he hadn’t had that rough of a sparring session the night before. And the state of his chambers, torn apart and in the worst state of disarray, well, clearly he had been up to something rather...invigorating.
But for now, he needed a breath of fresh air, and perhaps a coffee.
It wasn’t difficult sneaking out of the castle, since even the guards seemed to be groggy that morning. Drawing his cloack tighter against the sharp spring wind, Viktor kept his head down as he pursured his favourite location to find a hot drink. As he turned a sharp corner however, he felt himself connect with something rather solid and living. “O-oh, I’m so dreadfully sorry! Are you all right, Miss?”

It had been quite some time since Kael had deigned to enter into mortal territory, yet there he was, with wings glamoured and garbed as a nobleman, walking through the Bay of Wolves. He had been far too complacent up to this point, allowing the humans and vampires run amok on their own without any regard to the other occupants of the island. There was a need to take a new approach to dealing with outsiders, one which would involve him personally seeing them on their level, as base as it was.
Nonetheless, he couldn’t help but feel somewhat...misplaced among the fishmongers and the merchants. He was at one such stall now, frowning down on the supposed ‘glamours’ the human was selling. “You mean to tell me that this has an enchantment on it, really?” He raised an eyebrow to the man running the table, before calling out to the closest passerby; a woman who seemed somewhat familiar. “Is it common for humans to go about selling fakes like this? For such an exorbitant price?”

For something they secretly wish they could do with your muse
"Okay, not to sound like a mad scientist, but I wouldn’t mind a willing participant for some studies into fae anatomy and physiology. I know, I know, that sounds weird, but hear me out, it would actually be really helpful for some of my designs. It could help me solve a few different design flaws I’ve been having a hard time with, plus it would just be good knowledge for the world to have in general.”

“A faerie and a pirate? This is indeed difficult. On one hand, I’d like to remain on her good side, so that I may continue my partnership with her faction. On the other, having her meet an untimely and unfortunate demise would rid the world of yet another unnatural insect. Dear me, I can’t make up my mind…”

“Ask her how the hell she avoids getting seasick. Bloody boats rocking all the time, the salt water getting in your wings, knowing there’s a great big bleedin’ expanse of dark horrifying nothing down below you... How the hell does any sane fae deal with that?!”

Secrecy was necessary for a life of piracy. Wariness and discretion kept you alive, both on the sea and on land. So setting up a meeting between pirates wasn’t an easy task. But what would a pirate be without their cunning. As a bridge between their captains, crews, and ships, the quartermasters of Candoris had developed a unique system of communications to keep in touch with one another.
A dagger pinning a seagull's feather to the door of abandoned bar would certainly look weird to anyone else, but to those trusted few pirates it was a beacon.
The sound of footsteps near the back of the empty bar alerted Nadya to Svala’s presence. “Glad you could finally make it,” the dark haired woman mused, turning to meet the gaze of the quartermaster of the Gemini.
