Longmire is open 7 days a week. Longmire also has a lot of moss! Sure, we’ve posted about the great mountain views, the historic buildings, and the hiking trails, but have you seen the moss?!

This time of the year the moss is thick and luxurious. Some great places to find moss in Longmire include trees along the easy Trail of the Shadows, outcrops along the road next to the historic Nisqually Suspension Bridge, and rocks in front of the National Park Inn (where you can warm up before going to look at more moss!). You might also find some lichen too.
