TODD DICIURCIO x ROB MACHADO x TEMAKI BAR Excited to reveal some of my latest interior art project @temakibarsushi . This original installation features @rob_machado_surfboards designed in collaboration with my friend and surfing icon @rob_machado . I created an original mural inspired by our surfboard triptych, which is the origin of the overall design concept. Rob and I created the triptych in his Encinitas workshop with only the color palette in mind. The continuum came together subconsciously, utilizing my reactionary marks within the vessels, freeing those exact colors to express the composition of the mural, thereby synthesizing the shapes and contours to cohesively exist in the new space. Rob and I originally became connected in 2011 and have collaborated on several projects since, forging a frequency around art, surf culture and East meets West coast ethos.
