Would the Supreme Commander from "The Brave Little Toaster Goes To Mars" (the book version) become an avatar of the Extinction? His plan to destroy all organic life on Earth so appliances may inherit the world seems like a perfectly plausible birthing ritual for the Extinction, in my opinion.

This is a bonus “Making of...” short that I guess was included as an extra feature on one of the DVD releases. It touches on all three movies, but focuses on Goes to Mars. Includes commentary from Fyvush Finkel (voice of the Hearing Aid), Alan King (Supreme Commander), and DeForest Kelley (Viking 1), among others. I personally think it’s adorable, especially when they all talk about how they’re making this movie for their grandchildren. Say what you want about the sequels, but it seems like at least a few of the people who worked on them had their hearts in the right place.

Brave Little Toaster Thoughts #12
Remember from Goes to Mars, the hearing aid that used to belong to Albert Einstein?
And remember the weird scene where they go inside Supreme Commander Fridge, and it turn’t out ‘e was being...controlled from inside by another hearing aid that also used to belong to Einstein.
There’s a way to avoid all that nonsense, while still having them know each other:
You see, in between inventing special and general relatviity, Einstein tried to make a better refridgerator. (Yes, really). Trippy scene replaced with awesome obscure fact!

Brave Little Toaster Thoughts #7
The song “Fight/Right” from Goes To Mars includes some fire vs. ice imagery.
You have Toaster (politically) battling the Supreme Commander, who’s a giant refridgerator.
You could write a whole essay on that, but I’ll stop here.
