An Overview of Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Supply Chain Management (SCM) refers to a business practice that considers all aspects of traditional logistics while including other business operations such as marketing, new product development, financing, and customer support—networks of businesses that collaborate and coordinate their efforts to bring a product to market. The tasks of procurement, distribution, maintenance, and inventory management are the primary focus of the traditional approach to logistics—the practice of managing a company's day-to-day operations in a way that is both efficient and successful.
Visibility is a crucial part of supply chain management. A company's ability to manage its resources and clientele depends on its ability to see every supply chain step. Organizations can swiftly diagnose issues and find workable remedies when they are visible. It contributes to saving money and working more effectively. Collaboration is also an integral part of SCM. Supply chains only function when companies work with their vendors and other partners. They need to work together with their clients to anticipate and address any concerns that may arise. When implementing an SCM strategy, teamwork is crucial.
The practice is concerned with the production of finished goods and services. The Supply Chain is the network of organizations, through upstream and downstream linkages, in the many processes that produce value in the form of products and services in the hands of the end customer. The network includes businesses that are involved in the production of goods and services. Traditional services include air, sea, land transportation, warehousing, and customs clearance. Value-added services include things like information technology and consultancy.

So, I was there, one night. 6 Desember until a couple days until my last submission to go for sidang. My thesis just reach at 50% point. Less than that I think. Realizing that my topic was a little bit too ‘old shool’. I often doubting myself. Besides so many things happened this year (other than college matter). So this is my research topic. It is about inventory management at SMEs. So I was not in the mood anda asking the same question everyday, everytime before writing. Is it worth it? Is it only about completing the requirements for my master school? It is not challenging, I thought that this is such an easy peazy. I’m sorry but sometimes i feel meaningless.
I’M WORRIED. Is this worth for my next degree. I had a plan to continued my doctoral research but what topic should I stay with.
But this 2:46 am I wake up (after my cat “Kocan” cakar my leg) and suddenly check my phone and reach to the linked in. What was happening is that Supply-chain has to be the most demanding job careers or topic this last century. I was shocked by that. Is this the God sign for me to go on with this topic. Inventory management is the part of supply-chain. Suprisingly in other matter, ‘Lean Six Sigma’ has to be the popular material in this course. Six Sigma was in my thesis at last february, but I put it down, because my object research not capable for doing this research. My lecturer told that, it has to be easy but ‘bermanfaat’ for the object research. It not has to be difficult. Well, I have been watching the RFID that this article look up for me.
So I’m wrong, this is a huge research! This is something BIG.
I must stay focus in this one.

I immediately open up the light in my room and write a glimpse of this matter. Because this is truly Allah sign (I think) that I should go for this topic. Fyi, I only have 13 days more to finish the thesis. Hope I can do it! And more energized to do this thing. This my way. I had been being prepared for, even I didn’t even know that I’d been prepared for.
[To be continued. Without a further do let’s move on to another thing 3:09 AM]
