1. the rumor

this one fucks actually. i would like to understand of allison's backstory how we a) figured out of all words in all languages that "i heard a rumor" activates her powers? does she even need the words, really, or was it a focus training tool. anyway a small young girl appears before you and tells you she heard a rumor you were going to shoot your ally. immediately you do it. who could believe a middle schooler had this power. how can you have done this? you couldn't even stop it. surely such a child couldn't be real. she's just a rumor

2. the seance

this was really giving for klaus's gothic debut as a teenager. this one was pretty straightforward but still has a vibe to it that i can appreciate. he could've been the medium.

3. the horror

lowkey i'd have ranked it above the seance but also kind of mean to ben :( he is not seeing the aesthetic quality of being called a blood-covered child cryptid called the horror it is just scary

4. the boy

why do we hate five. he got no people name even his superhero name is less than no effort. again i see the Vision of giving everyone kind of mysterious names you know he's an apparition he's the boy you see popping in and out in a flash of light you're not even sure he's real until he stabs you in the gut

5. the kraken

genuinely this deserves #1 save for two things. first really i think this could have been ben like a kraken is a tentacle monster the horror is a tentacle monster... we really could have had something. second this is diego's name based on his superpower of being able to hold his breath underwater indefinitely and this does not exist at all in the show and is really not even that important in the comics. most secondary of powers ever. nothing to do with Knives. could've been the blade the dagger the bullseye the whatever else. be so serious. in universe reddit goes crazy over trying to figure out why he's called that and they never figure it out

6. spaceboy

bro what the fuck. they let 9 year old luthor choose his own name for real. does not match everyone else's, has no "the", no relevance to his superstrength powers, lowkey copies five's the boy but maybe they were trying to do a twins matching name situation. nevertheless cringefail superhero alias he will have to endure throughout his 20s and that is punishment enough
