Fandom/Activism

I interrupt my dive into Abigail DeKosnik’s work to note that as the United States moves deeper into its (apparently endless) election season, we’re seeing a lot of fandom-as-activism starting to emerge, as well as activism-as-fandom. De Kosnik herself was one of the early writers on fandom/activism, writing “Participatory democracy and Hillary Clinton's marginalized fandom” for the very first issue of Transformative Works and Cultures in 2008; more recently, Aja Romano wrote about how Donald Trump’s followers can be seen to be acting like a fandom for Vox: “If you want to understand modern politics, you have to understand modern fandom.” 

TWC hosted an entire guest issue on Transformative Works and Fan Activism, edited by Henry Jenkins and Sangita Shresthova; Jenkins and Shresthova also collaborated on By Any Media Necessary: The New Youth Activism (NYU, 2016) which collects essays on fan activism. Other essays on fandom/activism have been published by TWC with Alex Xanthoudakis’s Mobilizing minions: Fan activism efficacy of Misha Collins fans in "Supernatural" fandom (2020) and  Hannah Carilyn Gunderman’s Fan geographies and engagement between geopolitics of Brexit, Donald Trump, and Doctor Who on social media (2020) being recent examples. Meanwhile, Tanya Cook and Kayle Joseph are the authors of Fandom Acts of Kindness: A Heroic Guide to Activism, Advocacy, and Doing Chaotic Good (Penguin Randomhouse 2023), a guide on how to use fandom and fannish strategies to make a difference. 

Some examples of fandom/activism emerging this U.S. election season include Heroes 4 Harris: Kamala-Con  which is scheduled to happen online today, Sunday September 8, 2024, 1pm PT / 4pm ET: this is billed as “a Comic-Con for Kamala” and “the largest fandom led gathering in support of a presidential candidate in American history.” It will feature: “actors, writers, directors, and super fans of Hollywood's most inspiring heroic fandoms” and promises not just inspiration from some of our favorite stars (Mark Ruffalo, Sean Astin, Rosario Dawson and others - not to mention Henry Jenkins himself) but also breakout groups and training in “fan mobilization.”  

Meanwhile, Lynda Carter (always a Wonder Woman!) is also trying to get out the fan vote for Harris with her group Geeks & Nerds for Harris Walz (@GeekOutTheVote); this is also billed as “a fan activist campaign” and they are planning special online events, the first of which will be an online call on September 24, 2024.  As they describe on their website: “Fandom has never just been about media consumption. Fans are artists, creators, and digital ambassadors. When we share what we love, it radiates around the world. And to paraphrase the Vice President, it’s how we show them who we are. By connecting battle-tested campaign canvassing strategies to the heritage and practices of fan communities, we can encourage fans to get out the vote in key battleground states.”

Donald Trump, aside from being his own fandom with himself as fan in chief, also seems to have had some self-identified fandoms collectively organizing for him over the years - these include Fans of Kanye West, Fans of Race Car Driving, and, strange but true, Fans of the 1980s, who apparently believe that Donald Trump would also be a fan of 80s horror movies, Scritti Politti, and  the soundtrack to Pretty in Pink. (I’m not making that up; it’s on their Twitter.) That said, Mel Stanfill’s newest book Fandom is Ugly (2024) argues that, despite its popular reputation, media fandom is not essentially progressive; that in fact, “reactionary politics and media fandoms go hand in hand.” Stanfill’s book looks at the ways in which fans have organized in conservative, reactionary, or even hateful ways, from Gamergate to the collective abuse and harassment of actors in the latest Star Wars franchise. 

The discipline of fandom studies is now being used to study all different kinds of affiliations and advocacy movements, not just those based around film, tv, sports, or music. Fan studies is now applied to political and social movements. Jenkins is still a powerful voice on the relationship between fan studies and participatory democracy (whether progressive or reactionary): read this 2024 interview with him published in Communication and the Public: “The path from participatory culture to participatory politics: A critical investigation—An interview with Henry Jenkins.”  As Jenkins notes:

Part of the ethos of fandom is to ask questions—from nitpicking to imagining other outcomes, different trajectories for character arcs, and other worlds where the story might occur, all of which is expressed through fan works. I would say that fans are often more critical than the general audience in asking these questions, which makes them somewhat different from many partisans and activists I might know who rarely question their beliefs and ideological commitments. And fans are more tolerant—as an aggregate—of different interpretations than partisans are of different ideological stances. So, you could do worse in grounding a democracy than engaging with fans.

Did you ever been to a SPN convention? And how was it?

Yes, twice. IMO, boring except for Jared, Jensen, Mark Sheppard, and Timothy Omundson. It’s an one-show convention so there’s less variety in the crowd and costumes, and the vendor room is small.

Fan-videos don't get across on how well Jared and Jensen work with each other during their panel; they're totally in sync and can basically read each other’s mind, it’s something you have to see live.

Me and my girlfriend went to our first SPN con in 2016. We’re the type of people that only need to experience something once, then we’re done.   Or so I thought. I end up going to a SPN con a second time in 2017 for the Sunday panel.  Readers, if you saw five biker-looking old farts at your convention, I was the good looking one.  They enjoyed the J2 panel very much and even shouted “Supernatural forever!” when a fan asked when they thought SPN would end.

Now that I write this, in retrospect this was around the timeline that I've speculated was when CBS approached Jared with an offer of a holding deal (X) and why Jensen pitched his Dean-led Supernatural at Comic Con (X). Remember kids, the official story that Jared and Jensen put out was they decided in 2017/18 during season 13 to give SPN "two more seasons".

Anyways, it was always crazy to me that SPN has its own convention over 3-day weekend.  Even crazier that they attempted a “spin off” SPN convention featuring just their supporting and one-off guest actors.  But that goes to show what a merchandise goldmine SPN was.

In all conventions I go to, I like to hang out in vendor rooms to chat up the vendors and get good stories out of them.  Occasionally actors will pop in and out unexpectedly and it was the same at SPN cons; Jensen looked like an athletic jock and Jared looked like a bean pole hipster.  IMO Jared looks better IRL than on screen because he’s less photogenic than Jensen whose face is more light friendly.

I haven’t been into supernatural since it ended but I was wondering if J2 changed at cons. Like are they still the same together?

Jared and Jensen have been doing cons for a very long time and they have their panels dynamic well oiled. It hasn't changed much since the show ended IMO. To me, they still seem happy to be together on stage. They still have their shorthand communication, they still tease each other.

Mob Psycho 100 (S1, S2, & S3)

Anime vs. Manga?: Both are so charming. It's worth checking both out. I really enjoy the progression of ONE's artstyle throughout the manga, too.

Salted Genres: mentor-apprentice, good sibling rep, respectful towards women (albeit without any taking lead roles), grownass man worthy of being babygirl, well-written characters, GREAT comedy, con artistry (lol)

Major Trigger Warnings: Not really??? Esper dad fights his esper son, but we're already in esper territory. ONE makes it clear that many adult espers are poorly adjusted socially, and the father character fighting his son is quite clearly Not a good guy.

Can I Watch It Around My Parents?: As long as they don't hate Supernatural themes, you could easily watch this around them. Couple of comedic scenes involve smartass guys getting their shit kicked in so bad, they get blasted to the point of their clothes disentigrating, but it's clearly meant for comedic purposes and not sexually. Trust me. He needed to be humbled.

Artstyle: Unique, leaning towards shounen. Heavily respects ONE's style while bringing it to a fuller depth and severely objectifying Reigen Arataka (he's in his late 20s). Not afraid to look raw or "ugly" (which is so refreshing).

Personal Review: Fuck you, this show is practically perfect. I don't have to say anything. You're on tumblr- Reigen is a god here. But seriously, just watch it. It's one of the few animes I wholeheartedly will recommend to anyone. If you can't appreciate it, it's just your loss. People who cry that "all anime has some caveat to it" to excuse shitty tropes? can eat shit. Mob Psycho is better than that AND your shitty harem anime.

Context: I watched this back in 2016 when it originally aired, and it was the fight with Teru (episode 4) that really got me hooked. Back then, ONE was the talk of the sphere for the recent release of One Punch Man S1 (Studio: Madhouse), and being the comedy fan that I am, I knew the humor was right up my alley. Season 1 was so fantastic that I immediately picked up the manga where it left off. All of us that were early fans used to convince people to watch it by saying, "If you liked OPM, this is the creator's piece he really put his heart into the story for!" Even after the manga ended with such a fulfilling ending, I was eager to see it again animated with BONES' gorgeous action animation skills. Some anime can manage being absolutely timeless, and I firmly believe Mob Psycho takes the cake.

Favorite Character: Reigen Arataka. I am not immune to grownass, loser men with hearts of gold (or at least when it counts). If anything, his entire character arc is becoming less of a loser since becoming Mob's role model, and you gotta love it.

Fandom: I never engaged with it, but it's impossible not to see on here. People are pretty wholesome from what I've seen (aside from objectifying Reigen, but he can have it. As a treat). Most takes include making Reigen a father figure (which I disagree on. Mob has a father. He needed a MENTOR. Big difference.) and the expected various shipping takes. The majority of characters are men, so it's mostly mlm. Most of the popular ships are pretty cute, so it's worth checking out if you enjoy shipping! Reigen is also memed to hell and back, and I miss Redraw Reigen days with all my heart. Great memes.

The Supernatural Finale : 3 Years Later

I was introduced to these 2 boys in 2016, after much insistence from a friend of mine who had been watching it religiously since the beginning.

It wasn't my kind of show, dudes killing monsters like "A mini horror movie that's prime time safe on CW" didn't even spark my interest, but I gave in, and gave it 2 seasons to hook me, if it didn't, I was moving on.

It wasn't looking good through the 1st season. I did like Sam and Dean, and some of the episodes were good, but the monsters weren't scary, the writing was bad, I hated the lack of color, it being nearly black and white, was hard to see and just plain cheesy. I also felt like the stakes weren't high enough. I knew it was still on the air in its 11th season and Sam and Dean were both still on it, so what could really even happen to the brothers?

OH how wrong I was!

Admittedly, Season 2 was better. Still, I wasn't sure I was hooked.

And then...

This scene grabbed me by the heart and dug its claws in, and I was stuck...forever!

The next several years, I lived happily in my obsession. I gritted my teeth and cringed through some really bad writing, for those episodes and moments that made fall more deeply in love with these guys!

It was a roller coaster for sure, but it was my happy place. More than that, it felt like my best friend and was my escape when things got too bad.

Feb 1st 2018, from 8pm till 9, instead of watching the new episode "Various and Sundry Villians" I was at the hospital watching my Dad die. He died at 9:04 pm and the next several hours were spent crying with my sisters and my daughters.

We got home at 4am and I was physically and emotionally exhausted, but I had that episode waiting for me, just so I could focus on something else for an hour. I can't explain how much I needed that.

I'd say that was the worst day of my life, but they BEST day of my life was when I got to hug Jared at NJ Con 2019!

I'm sure every one of us has a Supernatural story, what it means to us, how we relate and how it impacted our lives, and I want to hear (read) them all!

Please take some time today to remember the little show that could, did, and still does! And if you still get emotional, it's okay... you're not alone

Masterlist of recent PARF videographers

Inspired by a comment on my update of sorts in which the commenter stated that it had never occurred to them to see if anyone had filmed PARF, I present to you a post I have been intending to make literally since starting this blog.

● Michael Ulrich – PARF footage as far back as 2004, hitting stride around 2015, stopping at the end of 2022. Most of the older stuff is scattered in amongst the 2018 footage and again between 2020 and 2021. An excellent source for a one-off example of most in-house shows each year. Quite important for reviewing the Megan-Zach-Mary 'verse. Some of the highest-quality footage. ● Renaissance Road Trips (formerly known as maddog015) – PARF footage as far back as 2007. More out-of-house stuff than in-house, though they've been expanding to include a little more in-house in recent years. Contains footage from many different Faires, so sifting will be required if you are exclusively interested in PARF. Divides shows up into many pieces, which is handy if you want to reference a specific moment, but cumbersome if you want to just watch a whole show. Footage quality is perfectly reasonable, though not professional-level. Home of THE Halloween Finale of 2017.

● PARF Performers (formerly known as wavking) – PARF footage from 2011 through 2021, excepting 2014 and 2020. Filming is somewhat scattered and not systematic until around 2016. Occasional videos from NJRF and from non-Faire events taking place on PARF grounds. Overall the best source for Finales and an even selection of everything else for 2016-2018, petering off in 2019. Indispensable for reviewing the Megan-Zach-Mary 'verse, though less so the Mary part. Footage quality is perfectly reasonable, though not professional-level.

● Steve Kossor – PARF footage as far back as 2013. Very little in-house stuff; mostly focused on the artists who fall under the heading of “musicians of the shire”, both individually and as a whole. Plenty of stuff from other Faires, too. Most videos are clearly labeled. If you never got to witness the actual Pub Sing from the Before Times, this is where to look, particularly 2019. Very fancy filming, often including multiple cameras at different angles on the same day (goals tbh). Occasional interviews and such. Scattered throughout are videos completely unrelated to Faire, 'cause he's gotta put 'em somewhere.

● MerlinWinchestr – PARF footage as far back as 2013. Hits stride in 2016 (I think), at which point she carefully archives one example of each main-season plotline show, and sometimes Halloween, as well as scattered highlights. Literally the only person besides me to actually bother with non-Halloween plot before 2018, for which I owe her a small portion of my soul. Indispensable for reviewing the Megan-Zach part of the Megan-Zach-Mary 'verse. Nothing from PARF in 2018 or 2019 due to moving to a different state, but filmed stuff from other Faires in the interim. Picked up again in 2020, and expanded the number of shows filmed. Recent videos are carefully labeled. Footage quality is perfectly reasonable, though not professional-level. Scattered throughout are many clips from various unrelated concerts and cons and sometimes reenactment, as well as quite a lot of fandom edits of (predictably) both Merlin and Supernatural.

● Joseph Germano – PARF footage as far back as 2015. Almost entirely in-house; largely storyline, combat, improv. Initially filmed things exclusively for himself and his family, not listing the videos publicly for years. As such, the quality of camerawork can occasionally leave something to be desired (though much less, in my opinion, than he claims), hence his playlist called “MeadVision”. Filled the void left by PARF Performers's petering off, and is owed a small portion of my soul for archiving so much Disasterpiece in 2019. Footage quality is perfectly reasonable, though not professional-level. Chronology is a mere suggestion until 2021.

● PARF fan – If you're interested in 2017 plotline and combat, I've got everything I filmed up on the YouTube except for Halloween Joust and Halloween Finale. I've also got loads of raw footage of in-house stuff from the first half the 2020 season over on the Facebook. Effort is made with cinematography, though it sometimes backfires. Videos are carefully labeled, but only in the titles, not the thumbnails. Footage quality is perfectly tolerable, though far from professional-level, and the sound is sometimes bad (didn't have a fancy camera until the 2022 season). Indispensable for reviewing 2017, frankly.

● PA Renaissance Faire – PARF footage from 2018 only. One each Court, Melee, Bloody Best, some of the main-season individual Chess fights, Halloween Court, Halloween Chess, and a whole bunch of in-house songs from sundry Finales, many of which were not archived in any other form elsewhere (that I know of).

● Ren Faire with Rose – PARF footage as far back as 2018. Nigh-on exclusively in-house. Mostly highlights rather than entire shows. Features occasional streetwork, particularly from 2019, which is beyond value. Mostly chronological, but 2022 and 2023 and 2024 are intermittently jumbled. Tbh, I haven't gotten around to watching enough of their footage to comment on the quality of camera or camerawork.

● Dan Gualtieri – The newest member of this “team” (none of us actually coordinate or otherwise work together, though we should). Videos from 2022, 2023, and 2024. Mixture of highlights and full shows. Has already filled several gaps. I haven't actually watched any of his videos yet, so I cannot provide comment on camera or camerawork.

Summary: This was the first night Steve had dared to actually stop by the red light district at all. He'd driven by maybe ten times the past week and spotted the blonde in the corner four times. He knew that he would actually have to talk to him at some point. But even the thought of being close to him always made him so anxious that he just couldn't stop the car. But as the vision of having the blonde in his bed haunted his mind stubbornly, he had decided that tonight would be the night when it would happen.

Blonde. Blonde, blonde, blonde. It was always the blonde who lured himself into Steve's thoughts whenever he had a moment to himself. Ever since he had driven to the red light district and by the line of working girls for the first time, just to browse.

The blonde had been leaning to the brick wall that was filled with tags, smoking. She had the right amount of muscle in all the right places, and it had felt a bit odd for Steve that a woman with that built was there, because she would've probably made a killer fitness competitor.

The blonde had been wearing a red see-through gown with just a bra and panties underneath, and Steve had been admiring the look and after a while spent a moment putting two and two together with the blonde's flatter than normal chest and lack of curves on her waist. When it had clicked, the black pumps with at least four inch heels that had finished the blonde's look, had made his head spin.

His Twitter hasn’t been personal in a long time and is used for live tweeting, interacting with fans and occasional updates.

Jensen’s instagram has undergone the most noticeable change. This ended up being super long, so I’ll separate it by year so that it’s easier to follow along. I also won’t include stories/livestreams to simplify things.

From 2015 when he first joined to the first half of 2016 it was very impersonal. Mostly behind the scenes SPN and con content, a couple pictures of JJ, a couple of pictures of Danneel with no sickeningly sweet, over dramatic captions. Then in the summer of 2016 things start to change. Still mostly SPN related, but he starts to post Danneel a little more and announces that they’re expecting twins.

2017 is when he starts promoting himself as a family man and starts pushing Danneel/inserting her in his branding. This is when those over the top captions start appearing in association with Danneel related content. He posts his private life and promotes SPN in equal measure, and slowly the shameless self promotion begins (which he jokingly admits to in a post on July 12, 2017 on a post of J2’s TV Guide cover). This is also when he kind of jumps on Danneel’s slacktivist band wagon and starts promoting charitable causes, all in association with FBBC (which hasn’t opened yet) or his family of course.

In 2018 FBBC opens, and the focus is all on the brewery, his family/Danneel, and himself. The little SPN promo he does is all centered around Dean (it used to be brother focused), and con content turns into photos of him performing (setting the stage for Radio Co). Continues to take a page out of Danneel’s book/special brand of slacktivism where he makes everything about himself or his family. This is also when he starts with the costumes and setting himself up for the superhero roles he wants post-SPN.

In 2019 the Danneel content really ramps ups, plus she starts really getting in on it and commenting on everything like they’re teenagers and he’s her first boyfriend. It’s incredibly cringey. He also continues to promote himself and try and set himself apart from Jared/Sam. If I didn’t know SPN, I would assume he was the lead. Radio Co. is announced. In May 2019, they announce that s15 will be the final season. What’s interesting is his caption– “Though nothing ever really ends in Supernatural…does it? 😉” so some evidence that he’s been planning the prequel/SPN takeover since 2019.

2020 is interesting, because the pandemic clearly put a dent in his networking/self promotion. The start of the year is promotion for both of the Ackles. Very much “look at us! We’re apart of Hollywood but we’re cool and different from those other guys!” When the lockdown happens, he leans even more into the family man and dedicated husband image. A little bit of SPN promo, but not much. Gets really into activism (specifically BLM and voting), just like every other celebrity at the time despite never having cared about it before. He announces his role as Soldier Boy on August 17. Chaos Machine Productions is announced on October 8, he uses a picture of him and Danneel at the GG afterparty (a picture he’s overused, don’t you have other pictures with your wife?). In late 2020, the family and wife content starts to slow down.

In 2021, Jensen starts off the year pretty strong and posts regularly. He posts for the Walker premiere, he posts Danneel a few times, he congratulates himself for his critics choice award, a makes few slacktivism posts, promotes Radio Co. and FBBC, and goes back to promoting himself. Spring of 2021 is when he starts to get really selective about social media, the Jensen we associate with SM today. It’s all work and self-promo. No more Danneel content (though she continues to comment on almost every post), the only family content in the latter half of 2021 are his birthday posts for the kids and the Christmas photo dump. He posts his announces prequel announcement on June 24, does not tag Danneel is the picture or caption.

In 2022, Jensen hires a publicist. This is important to note because this ties directly into how he now uses instagram. Out of the 37 posts in 2022, 15 are promo for The Boys, 3 are promo for Big Sky, 4 are promo for The Winchesters, 1 is promo for Radio Co. Volume III, 1 is promo for the episode of Walker he directed, 11 are self-promo*, 1 post to celebrate the twins birthday, and 1 post to celebrate Danneel’s birthday. No promo for FBBC, no more activism/political posts. So 24/37 were work related because he has to meet a certain promo quota. That’s also why he’s live tweeted for TW and did that awful instagram live, he’s contractually obligated to promote TW. And while a lot of people have speculated that he has someone else running his Twitter, he doesn’t. All of the tweets have his voice (if that makes sense) he just made those mistakes with TW because he doesn’t care about the show and would ignore it completely if he could. He doesn’t have the money to justify the expense of having a social media team, and while he could have an assistant post for him, I don’t think Jensen has an assistant. They’re another expense he’s not busy enough to justify, he’s never told any stories that suggests he has one, and based on his stories seems to handle most assistant things by himself (flights, scheduling, making phone calls, etc).

*Self Promo Posts: Outside of You podcast with MR, HBD post for Dean, Mardi Gras photo dump/HBD to him (no Danneel in pictures despite the fact that they were together), SXSW w/ Batmobile, Man About Town editorial got two posts, CW upfronts (no mention of TW, the cast, or Danneel. Yet since he never developed his actor's logline, none of his content is in line with his branding and his branding is unclear so casting will have no idea what Jensen is going for.

I think the anon got confused as well, possibly english is their second language.

gilmore girls: i watched this for the first time during my last year of high school and it's become one of my comfort shows. definitely my go to when i want to watch something but i'm not in the mood to start something new

teen wolf: shaped the better part of my teenage years, and recently (a year or so ago) rewatched it with my sibling. i miss that era of my life so much lmfao 2015/2016 and comic con interviews etc (for all the big shows at the time, honestly, it was so good)

supernatural: oh my god. watched the bugs and bloody mary episodes in like ?? 2010 when i was eight or something and it was a core memory. properly started watching it when i was 15 i think and i was literally such a die-hard fan of the show. one of my og tumblr blogs was literally just me rb-ing spn self inserts. such a fun time on the internet. bit of a cult tbh but fun times, even though i never finished it.

derry girls: another comfort show!!!! never ever fails to make me giggle and i always return to it every few months. so so so dear to my heart <3333

anne with an e: SO dear to me oh my god. the whimsy! the romanticism! one of the few shows i consistently stuck with through to the end, from release to cancellation. shaped my young adulthood, from i think 15 to 18. came at the perfect time of my life. so so dear to me.

normal people: i think about marianne and connell almost always. came at the perfect time of my life, too. i watched it just before lockdown in 2020, but only the portions set in highschool, i think and then finished it a year later, after so much in my life had happened. i have complex feelings about sally rooney and the book but it never fails to make me feel something, watching paul mescal and daisy edgar jones. the high school portion is what stands out to me most i think, because it was what i remembered so much when lockdown and all that came with it happened.

marianne: i watched this with one of my best friends, and i really really liked the cinematography, and the storytelling. loved the production, and the subtext, all the messy feelings between the protagonists and the themes of friendship and family and love. really creepy and scary, but also felt so human.

the sex lives of college girls: so funny! did not like the ending to the last season, but i liked the characters a lot prior to that. also love ensemble cast shows <3 loved the development of their friendships and their character arcs (leighton!!!!!) watched this during the summer hols this year and stayed up all night watching it hehe

Honestly, I don't know what their rate might be. I can't recall them or anyone else reputable ever giving details, and that seems like one of those things actors generally don't make public - though anyone who does have a source on a number feel free to correct me. However, they are the automatic big ticket headliners of any SPN event, and therefore able to ask for premium prices for their appearances.

The article on convention appearance fees that everyone seems to be citing about actors in general is this 2016 one from The Hollywood Reporter [X], where it gives an estimate of what leads from shows such as Supernatural (mentioned by name among several others) can ask as being between $35,000 and $250,000. So yeah, given the extra travel expenses, the relative scarcity of appearances over there, and that article being several years old? It is a legit question.

Who is Harmonie?:

My name on tumblr is Harmonie, but some people know me as Adri.

I was born in February 1998, which makes me an Aquarius!

I am an INFJ-T (advocate).

I'm married and have two cats. One's an angel, and the other is a menace to society. Their names are Charlie and Milo, both tuxedos.

Writing is a hobby I picked up when I was in college (2016). I have a degree in biology.

My first K-pop group is SVT and has now expanded to some other groups.

I enjoy music, video games, writing and arts.

What I write for:

I write for some K-pop groups, mainly Seventeen and Ateez. I also write for HTTYD.

Genres that I enjoy writing are fluff and angst. I can write smut, but it takes much longer than other works.

Supernatural and fantasy AUs are my favorite to write, but I love reading soulmate AUs.

Rules:

My works might not include smut, but they do tend to be gorey/violent. It's why I add it to my warnings, and I try to label them as mature in my masterlist.

I do have some smut in my masterlists, so being over the age of 18 is a must. Or if it's requested, I will be checking the blog for an age. If there's no age, it will be ignored.

I will not write anything with a large age gap, step-cest, or dub-con.
