Many people wonder how I deal with challenges as they come up in my life. They assume I must just ride on rainbows and roses of positivity because of my spiritual beliefs. Well, luminous ones, let me tell you…. we have AS MUCH shadow as we do light and sometimes my light hides and I seriously want to punch someone square in his solar plexus. This morning I had to take my chocolate obsessed son into the dentist for a refill of a cavity. I was grateful that it had fallen out because it was a mercury filling despite my desire for a composite filling. I told the dentist three times that I wanted a composite filling because I had concerns about mercury. (I AM still a doctor, after all!) He nodded, I turned my back and what happened?? A MERCURY filling. Now, it’s not like I can just have it removed so I have to leave it at least until I can find a dentist that knows how to SAFELY remove it and replace it but I was fuming. My fight or flight response was fully on FIGHT mode and I knew I had to calm down. On the way home I was doing nadi shodhanna or alternate nostril breathing to balance my sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. The MINUTE I got home I turned to heart-opening @oneworldcacao and their ancestral grade cacao with their #Abuelablend with ashwaganda and mach along with @sunpotion #yinpower and extra #reishimushroom with a 1/2 teaspoon of @elementalwizdom #superhumanprobiotics. I slowed way down and sipped my cacao and within 10 minutes I was ready to meditate. I still don’t love that my beautiful baby son has mercury in his mouth but I trust that I will find a way to sort that out.
