MYXTV is the only English speaking multicultural Asian American television network on primetime television. This is my experience recently: As I was trying to fight off a bout of insomnia, I forgot that I actually had access to MYXTV so I change the channel and came upon something that I was gonna write a blog about in the future.

There is a show called “Afterschool Club” ,which was hosted by two Korean hosts that had a K-pop group from Korea as a guest on the show. 

The entire show was dedicated to the K-pop group doing different interpretations of their music videos live as well as changing some chorography and answering fan questions on the spot. What I liked about the show was that they answered and asked questions in English and also in the Korean language. And it wasn't because they used English per se, but it was because I thought that asking the questions in English and then having the guest respond of course in their native Korean language with subtitles would connect to a larger audience that were fans of the "Korean wave". To give you an example, one of the hosts, Kevin asked this weeks K-pop group "KNK" a question that they received from Twitter.

The question was could they interpret one of the famous chorography moves in one of their music videos with the theme of sadness.

 It was actually pretty funny to watch these guys change chorography a little bit to tweak it just to the fans delight.

 The next thing that (I saw since I still couldn't sleep well) was a MMA show (which for those you don't know is a mixed martial arts show) called “Super Fight League”, which was promoted and came out of India. This blew my mind!!! I had no idea that there were mixed martial arts organizations in India. The only ones that I even heard of were from Japan and Brazil.

 Anyhow, I was impressed because they had fight-card girls, a huge audience, high-quality ring, announcers, referees and it was totally legit!

 After doing a little research I found out that the organization was started in 2012 by a businessman who is partnered with famous professional boxer Amir Khan. My take on this was that was cool because they had men's and women's divisions in which I was able to watch two different bouts before I called it quits for the night. 

I think it is awesome to have a channel that promotes specifically Asian American culture in aggregate. Where else can you see K-pop talk shows, Indian Mixed martial arts, Asian American comedy via Timmy Deleghetto, and Anime in one place?. So I would expect that MYXTV will continue to grow to different regions of the United States because it's definitely good worthwhile entertainment for us all to watch
