ok so I just watched My Little Pony: A New Generation and something about the animation definitely bothered me, I think making it 3D makes me instantly notice inaccuracies, it REALLY bothered me that the ponies could just pick stuff up with their hooves and stuff would magically stick and be released when needed

I'm sure they do that all the time in mlp fim too, but the 2D animation caters to a suspension of disbelief, where after watching 100s of episodes I dont remember being bothered with it, whereas in the movie in the first 2 minutes I was like BRO THAT PAINTBRUSH IS FLOATING, and throughout the whole thing I kept getting amused at them holding up smooth crystals with their hooves

also mlp fim did a good job with having the ponies use their mouths for tasks all the time, which I dont think they really did in this movie (although I'd have to rewatch it and look for that to be sure)
