Hello! You can call me "The Chief", and I'm here to take a simple test!

Recently, I've started to have an obsession with the game Master Detective Archives: Rain code, and I've started drawing Makoto Kagutsuchi and Yuma Kokohead quite often, so I want to share, I want to see what you think, I evolved my style over time, because I try to find something that I like when I start drawing a character each time. My English is not the best because I use a translator, and my interpretation of the characters may be different from yours. Consider my drawings as alternate versions.

Immediate warning: I use easypose and pose bases, my drawings are bad, I use gacha, I make bad edits, I hope my stuff doesn't make you uncomfortable. There will be some suggestive drawings!! Game spoilers, of course, and there's a crossover games.

First drawing:

The first drawing I made of these two was a conversation with my friends on discord about: "why is Makoto's hair a different color?" My friends and I started discussing color theory, like, Yuma's hair looks like blue, and Makoto's looks like yellow.

I love making him look angry, because I see him as a tsundere without his mask, and super suspicious of people, he only trusts Yuma. These first drawings, I was still looking for my style of how to draw his hair.

RAIN CODE / Undertale

Ok, I'm probably the only person making this comparison, let's get to the context:

I started to see Makoyuma as a Charisk 2.0 (Chara x Frisk, Undertale ship that I've always loved since I was 11 years old), And also, Chara = Makoto, and Frisk = Yuma is very good for me, Frisk is always interpreted as pacifist in the fandom, and Chara as genocide. I like to see Chara as a tsundere, my tsundere and mischievous Makoto is not cute ? I'm obsessed and it's your fault, guys. /j

The part there with Shuichi with Makoto and Yuma, is supposed to be a reference to KFC, Kris from Deltarune being interpreted as Chara and Frisk's older sibling, Charisk being seen as family is normal because Toriel adopts Frisk too, This part is more for those who like Makoyuma as a platonic and I'm fine with that, memes about siblings are always funny. Maybe I'll do more of this AU? I loved the concept of Chara!Makoto, Chara is my favorite character anyway.

Note: my age headcanon for Yuma being 23 may have changed.

I may like Makoyuma and be obsessed with them, but their other ships are good too, the other characters are interesting. (I also like Shinigami and Kurumi)

I saw a really good analysis about Izuru and Makoto being opposites of each other, so I made this drawing here, what do you guys think? Ignore Nagito being gay in the background.

ARGH, I don't know how to draw the floral pattern on Makoto's suit, I'm sorry.

Holiday Research

Toby fox

Toby Fox is very popular in the video game industry. He, alongside a very select few who he trusts greatly, made undertale which is now a very well known indie game. Toby fox then went and composed a song for pokemon sword and shield, specifically the battle tower theme. They're now onto making deltarune, an rpg inspired by undertale but now with a lot more care as Toby now knows how much people liked undertale and wants to make his second game better. hes on twitter from time to time sharing the development of deltarune chapter 2 without spoiling it. I first learned about undertale from memes based around sans, then i watched someone play the undertale and it then grew on me. Toby is an inspiration to me as i see Undertale and Deltarune chapter 1 as brilliant rpgs and if i was to make an rpg, then i would do more research into how he made these. What i like the most, especially more in deltarune, is the story as its got some serious and a lot of goofy. One of his biggest achievements for Toby is the fact that he got Sans, a character in undertale, into super smash bros ultimate.

Masahiro Sakurai

Sakurai originally made the first Kirby game back on the 23rd March 1993. On the 5th August 2003, he left HAL leaving Kirby behind. Now hes known for being the director in the super smash bros series which started back on the 21st of January 1999 which is still going to this present day. What the Super smash bros series is is a 2D platformer based fighting game which features a lot of characters from not just Nintendo, but a lot of other companies as well, even some indie characters got in too. it started with 10 characters and has now expanded into 89 different characters with one more left for dlc on their way. one reason i respect Sakurai so much is his dedication towards the series as he somehow surprises fans after every announcement, of course hes not alone as he has an entire team as well as support from Nintendo higher ups. What i like the most is the vast range of characters as it literally goes from a plant to a military assassin to a cube man.

Maddy Thompson

Maddy Thompson and Noel Berry worked together during a game jam to make the pico-8 version of Celeste which had high praise from the community. this then lead them to make the decision to work on expanding Celeste from a small project to a full game. then they made matt makes games and hired others people to help out with things like art, music and coding. Celeste then went onto selling 500′000 copies in 11 months and it sold 1 million copies a year after that. The reason i look up to Maddy so much is because i really enjoyed every aspect of Celeste, the music, gameplay and story were all perfect and i hope i can create anything close to the success that Celeste was.

Derek Yu

Derek Yu would make games together with his friend after college as a fun activity. One day they made Aquaria together. After that they went their own ways and Derek then went onto developing spelunky which was a massive success. he then went onto developing spelunky 2. What i like about the spelunky games is the fact that you have one life otherwise its back to square one. this reminds me of more classic games where a game over would result in you going back to the very first level. The randomly generated areas and items also makes it feel like your strategies change a lot which adds a lot more replayability

Dan Fornace

In the past, Dan used to work at Microsoft on the Xbox live arcade. he’s known for making Rivals of aether, a 2D platform fighter inspired by the super smash bros series. he then went on to add workshop support which meant that fans could make their own characters and add them as well as download them. the reason hes an inspiration to me is because it may have less characters as part of the game, but it has something that the smash series didn't have till recently, terraforming abilities. each character has either a unique effect, or can alter the stage in a specific way such as creating a wall or making the floor slippery for opponents. id say that this is harder to code then most smash characters as you need to add more complicated code for each character.
