Sungkyu: He honestly struggles so much with your sleep talking. His schedules always tucker him out and then he can’t sleep well because of your mumbling. It was cute at first but now he needs a permanent pair of ear-plugs.

“Y/N...I’m too tired for this...”

Dongwoo: It wouldn’t matter what you said, you didn’t even have to say anything at all, even a little sound would send him into a fit of giggles. He was always entertained by you, and he loved it. Coming home to find you curled up on the sofa waiting for him while mumbling would melt his heart.

Woohyun: He would find your little ramblings in slumber to be the highlight of his nights. He’d even have his sassy little Woohyun-banters with you, which is even more fun when you aren’t consciously replying to him so he has a better chance at winning.

“Y/N, honestly you mumble more than you speak...”

Y/N: “Like when you sing?...pizza is good...wait...that’s my pastry...zzzz...”

“Oh, really?”

Sungyeol: He tries to not get irritated, he knows you can’t help it. It’s honestly fine most nights, but there are some where he’s exhausted and he just hates having to wait until you go into a deeper sleep cycle.

Sungjong: He’d always reply to whatever you were saying, even though he knew you wouldn’t remember anything when you woke up. He often ended up mothering you. It was something he considered his responsibility, especially when you two weren’t at home.

You opened your eyes to your alarm going off. The sun was already up and was starting to fill the room with it’s warmth. You shuffled to edge of your bed to shut him off and almost fell out of but were caught by your arm. When the annoying noise stopped you turned around to see that Sunggyu has also woken up.

“Thanks and sorry for waking you up.” you said rolling over.

“Where are you going?” Sunggyu asked putting his hands on your waist and securing you in your position.

“To work, where else?”

“Please stay a little while longer.” he said pulling you closer so your back was to his chest. He planted a kiss on your head and snuggled in your neck. Enjoying the feeling of his breathing you laid still for a few minutes.

“I really have to go get ready.” you told him again trying to get out of his grasp. It was not an easy task though as he was holding on to you for dear life. After a few more attempts you gave up and stayed in his embrace for a while more.

“Okay, Sunggyu, could you please let go of me now? I’m going to be late, I stayed a little bit longer as you asked.”

“No.”

“What do you mean no? Since when did you become so clingy?” you asked him attempting to get out once more.

“I can never get enough of you.”

“Oh sush.” you said slapping his hand. “Making me blush so early in the morning.”

You pried his hands off of you and finally sat up on the bed. You looked down and saw Sunggyu smiling.

“What?”

“Nothing, I just thought you look really pretty today.”

“Is this another attempt of yours to convince me to stay? Sorry, but it’s not going to work.”

“But I’m on vacation.” he said pouting.

“Well that’s great and all but I’m not.”

Suddenly he jumped up from his position and quickly pinned you down on the bed, hovering above you.

“Then take some.”

“You know I can’t.”

“What if I arrange it for you?” he asked smirking.

Not letting go of you he reached for his phone and quickly dialled a number.

“Yeah, it’s me. No, she actually doesn’t, you know what I mean? Can you take care of that? Great, thanks.” and with that he hung up.

“Who was that?”

“Don’t worry about that. At least now I can finally have you all for myself.” he said reaching down to kiss you and then he fell on top of you.

“Hey Sunggyu, you’re heavy!” you said trying to push him off.

He rolled over, taking you with him. You were now in the same position as you were in the beginning of the morning but this time you were facing him. He pulled you closer and planted a few quick kisses on your neck. He loved being so close to you.

“Can we just stay like this for the rest of the day?”

Working hard had always been on Sungkyu’s list of qualities. The man was amazing, no one could lie. But every hardworking man needs a good woman, right?

You were Sungkyu’s woman. You were an actress. You were quite well known across the world. You were featured in music videos, You were asked to do special photo shoots in countries other than Korea. Countries such as Japan, the states, China, France, Spain, and many others. 

You met Sungkyu through a photo shoot. You were very familiar with the group, Infinite. You loved their music. Every comeback you were there supporting 200%. Every live stage, you watched in amazement. Every concert they had in your area you tried your hardest to get tickets before they sold out. You wanted them to have as much love as they deserved. They were barely getting it. 

When you were told you would have a photo shoot with Sungkyu, you completely lost it. You were excited yet a little nervous. You were about to meet the leader one of your favorite boy groups. You dressed as you normally did. Very casual. A little makeup. It was best to wear just a little makeup when going to a photo shoot. They were just going to take it off and put on many layers of makeup. 

You grabbed your phone and purse and made your way to the shoot, with a wide smile on your face. You walked into the shoot and you were greeted by the smell of coffee. You took it in and looked around. There were many mugs full of coffee in the room. 

“Y/N! Y/N!” A voice called out to you. You turned your head to the side to see your manager and with a figure next to her. You looked closer and noticed the figure was actually Sungkyu. They walked over to you. “Y/N, this is-” “Sungkyu, I know. I enjoy his group’s music and his solo music. Nice to meet you.” You put out your hand for him to shake.

He grabbed it softly and kissed the palm. “Nice to meet you too, Y/N. I love that name.”

Throughout the photo shoot you both exchanged looks. He was just as interested in you as you were him. You were different from girls he has worked with in the past. He noticed the little things you did, unlike other people did. You felt relaxed in his arms unlike other men. The two of you were so relaxed it was like as if the two of you were together. 

He was in his dressing room. His stylist was doing his hair. “So, are you going to ask her out?” 

“What are you talking about?” Sungkyu asked. 

“Y/N! Oh come on, everyone hear has seen the way the both of you have been looking at each other this whole time. Ask he out! She looked into you as well.” His stylist urged. “Maybe I will, maybe I won’t.” 

After the shoot, you began packing your things. There was a knock on your dressing room door. You opened it to see, Sungkyu. “Hello, is something-”

“Would you like to go out on a date?” 

You couldn’t help but smile. “I’d love to. Let me get my things and I’ll give you my number.”

It’s been three years since you started dating. Your relationship has had it’s fair share of ups and down. Way more ups than downs. All of his members loved you. They were constantly asking Sungkyu to bring you to everything so they could speak with you. 

But there was nothing more Sungkyu loved to do with you than cuddle. It was his favorite thing to do. Especially after a long tiring day at work. Just like today. 

He was running around Woollim doing a lot. He had to help everyone. Tending to his duties. He wanted nothing more than to be on the sofa, holding you tightly.

You didn’t want to admit Sungkyu was the clingiest you’ve ever met, but he was the clingiest person you’ve ever met. Once you were in his arms, you always struggled to get out. He never wanted to let you go. 

He drove home rather quickly. He opened the front door slowly. You turned around to see him. “Sungkyu, you are looking a bit sluggish. You okay?” “Jagi, my lovely Jagi. I’m so tired.” He revealed shuffling to the sofa. 

He slumped down and hugged you tightly. “My poor Sungkyu, do you need anything?” “A little cuddle with you would do just fine.” He answered. You sighed and tried to escape but failed. “I need to go make Ramen. I’m hungry. Can you let me go for a second?” 

“The answer is no. I’ve spent 12 hours in that building! I didn’t even get to leave for lunch. I had to order take out and they delivered it to the studio. I didn’t leave all day. I haven’t heard a word from you all day nor have I seen you all day. I’m not letting you go for a second.” 

“Babe, let go!” You commanded trying to stand up. But he pulled you back down and groaned. His hold tightened as he laid his head on your chest, his favorite pillow. “You’re walking to the kitchen with me, I’m not about to go hungry because of you.”

“Eat later. Cuddle now.” He groaned, sticking out his bottom lip out. “How old are you?” You jokingly asked. “Babe, if you don’t let me go.” “What will you do? I’m too cute to hurt, Y/N.” “UGH!” You screamed before sighing loudly. He smiled at the sigh of your frustration. Your struggle made him realize he was winning. And you loved him too much to fight back.

“I missed you today. The guys were so tired of me talking about you today, they almost threw me out of one the windows.” He admitted. 

You looked down at him, your cheeks as red as fresh blood. He often talked about you the guys. He loved to talk about you. His favorite thing was to describe you. He would make you seem like an unrealistic goddess when he was just overemphasizing how breath taking you actual were. He loved to describe you to people who’ve never seen you before. He always described you as if you were a holy figure. 

“Tomorrow is going to be about me and you. Just me and you. No distractions. No work for the both of us. I want tomorrow to be about us.” “I wonder what’s got you so romantic all of a sudden.” You questioned. 

“I had a dream. And in that dream, I lost you. My love, my heart, my better half, my queen, my future wife, the future mother of our seven children. And I lost you because I didn’t spend enough with you. But that’s going to change. I love you.”

You couldn’t help but smile at what he said. “I love you too. But, seven children? Why seven? I never agreed to any children.” 

He lifted his head up and looked at your lips. “Blame those beautiful lips of yours for the cause of all of our future children.”

If Woozi were to debut as a solo artist. What kind of concept do you think he would suit and what concept do you think he would go for?

It may sound like the most boring answer but I think he would go for some kind of ballad album? It suits his voice so well and Woozi makes a ballad sound so powerful and emotional! In my eyes i think he would go for that kind of style. Maybe he would also add a song that is more likely fitting for a great choreo but not as title track. Eventhought his dancing is amazing, i still think he wants to go take over the world with his voice.like for the title track I could imagine a song like ‘Simple’ its a powerful ballad that makes you stop doing whatever you just did and listen to him. Also you want to listen to it over and over again.

for a side track I can 100% see a song like ‘What kind of future’ emotional and kinda heartbreaking.

a sweet song would be on the album too i guess. something more cheerfull but still not too hyper? something like Kim Sungkyus ‘True Love’

Hi my names Jamie and I was wondering if you could a infinite Sungkyu imagine. Basically where infinite are at weekly idol and sungkyu is known as an idol who has a girlfriend they’ve been dating since he debuted and there basically teasing him about there relationship . Lots of fluff if possible

“Our guests today, they’re the sons of Weekly Idol! They have been a part of the family since the first episode, seven years ago.”

Sunggyu grins, watching Doni-hyung and Coni-hyung hype them up and remembering with a fond smile every visit of Infinite’s to the white basement. All the ridiculous games, segments, the teasing, bullying and playing around.

But all those other times there were seven of them…

Sunggyu shakes his head, he can’t think about that right now, they have a show to do and their hosts were just about done with their intro.

“INFINITE!”

They run in, Dongwoo moving in the fastest, leading the charge with a raucous, energetic cry, Sungyeol following suit, just as enthusiastic. Sungjong, Woohyun and Myungsoo come in after and Sunggyu trails behind, dragging his feet just the littlest bit. They follow, going in no order, they’ve no need to be so organized or careful, Weekly Idol was their variety home.

“And now. Brrerlrraaaa!”

Sunggyu grins, they won’t be caught of guard again.

“1, 2, 3…Hello everyone we are, INFINITE!”

Even the crew applauds for them, Sunggyu’s glad to recognize a fair many that have stayed on the show since Infinite’s first appearance, a few who came later and some new faces who seemed happy to see them anyway. Pleasantries are exchanged, the hosts ask them what’s been going on in their lives since the year long break they took. The others are happy to answer but Sunggyu is lost in thought.

He wonders if you’re watching.

“Y/G/N made an appearance an episode ago.”

At the sound of your group’s name Sunggyu perks up, looking up and seeing everyone amused at him reacting like a little boy who’d just been promised ice cream. “Oh no…” he lowers his head immediately, as they laugh.

He looks to the other for help and the glint in their eyes as well as the mischievous ones shining in the DoniConi duo’s tells him it’s going to be a long day._________________

The members are starting to wonder if they should get you an oxygen mask.

“The message of the song means a lot to us-”

“But not as much as as Y/N, right?”

You laugh and try not to blush for the nth time at Doni making Sunggyu blush and duck his head. Every single time you’re mentioned Sunggyu becomes a puppy who’s owner’s come to pick him up only to realize how he acted and turn into a shy little boy and none of them are letting him live it down.

“Y/N, what are you watching anyway?” Your leader and the maknae of your group, plop down on bed on either side of you, leaning in to see what you were losing your mind over on your laptop. “Ah, so it finally aired.” Sage smiles, remembering last week when you told her about your boyfriend shooting for Weekly Idol.

The maknae coos and you groan in dispair at hearing the hosts force Sunggyu to tell the story of how you two met in the backstage of a different variety show, it had been your first time alone without any of the other members, and the fact that you had been a newly debuted group back then only doubled you anxiety, all the lessons and training leaving your mind.

“Oh hi there I’m-are you okay?”

You had spaced out. You didn’t even notice someone come in while you were sitting on the couch pale and wringing your hands, if you were in a better state maybe then it would have registered in your mind that Kim freakin Sunggyu of Infinite was standing in front of you, looking down at you with concern in his-huh, his eyes looked bigger in person.

“Are you alright?”

That jolted you back to reality. There was a sunbae in front of you, you should bow. But you stood up too quickly and he had been too close. “Ah!” You butt heads with him and you fall back down onto the couch and he falls onto the carpet, both of you holding your foreheads and groaning in pain as a PD came in to check on you.

A couple years later and you were going public with your relationship.

“Aww! Is that true!?” Your maknae is practically bouncing, trying to control her emotions while you duck your head in embarrassment and swear to yourself to give Sunggyu hell for letting everyone know how much of a clutz you had been.

Meanwhile your leader is frowning. “You assaulted a sunbae? And never told me?”

“It was an accident!” You rush to defend, red in the face from embarrassment and from feels as you hear Sunggyu speak.

“Even then, with a bruise forming on her head and her looking like a scared kid I though she was pretty.”

Your maknae might need to pay a medical bill for the deafness she’s causing to your right ear with all the squealing. “Unnie! Never break up with him!”

“I don’t plan too.” You grin, your voice muffled by the hands you cover your face with. You couldn’t be any redder if you tried.

The show continues to play on your laptop. “Do you have anything you want to say to Y/N right now?”

“Please don’t do this to me.” Sunggyu bows his head, pleading with them but the other members are cheering for him to do it too, next to him Woohyun is jostling his shoulder.

“Come on hyung!”

“Say something!”

“Just imagine Y/N’s here!”

That gets an immediate reaction from him. He goes from grimacing to smiling just the smallest bit and the others burst into laughter. Your leader and maknae do the same but you can’t help your enormous goofy smile, seeing how he is just at the mention of you. He seems to collect himself, clearing his throat before speaking.

“Y/N-ah…I know you’re working hard since you’ve just comeback like us-”

Woohyun smacks his shoulder. “SHE’S YOUR GIRLFRIEND NOT YOUR BANDMATE, ACT LIKE IT!”

“Stay healthy, eat and rest lots!” Sunggyu continues, pushing Woohyun off his stool, ignoring his writhing on the floor dramatically and the other laughing. “Because remember you promised me…”

You duck your head. “Oh no” you groan, remembering and knowing exactly what he was gonna say.

“That you’d take care of what’s mine.”

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-“

ai da gan is tilting his head all the time like he so siexi i am crying at how they promoted his character in such a big way and how lil screen time he actually got but then again jihyun didn't get a lot of screentime either and i feel like the special ep could have been at least 2 hours long or that they should make another special eps for HER (or a special epi for him). and wiki said she killed aidagan in the end but NOOOOOOO way that MF is going down without a fight and lets him get killed with a single arrow and what i don't see i don't count as a kill (same with eunhyuk's fate in SHs1).

OHHHHHHHHHHH your mind if you got any more similarities lemme know. GOD young shin and aidagan better meet in s3 like imagine the fight they gonna have because i think aidagan and young shin are really similar in terms of the fighting style they use (we didn't get a lot again of aidagan but he loved to use his whole body and throw himself into the mess the same way young shin does, maybe not that extreme) and i love how aidagan uses an axe as his choice of weapon like that's so sexi and intellectual of him. and what if young shin kinda knows about aidagan from his time as a tiger hunter and traveling the north like UGHHHHHHHHH

Wow two Woohyun scenarios in two days, you guys are on a roll. Anyways this one is based on this request and there’s really not much else to say. I loved imagining drunk Woohyun though, I think he’d be very cute. Enjoy!

“Woohyun it’s not true!”

“Save it, I’ve had enough of this.” He said as he stormed towards the front door, angrily swinging on his coat.

“Please,” you said as you held onto his arm in tears, “they’re just rumors! You know me better than anyone to know it’s not true!”

He thought about turning back for a while. But every time he took a look at your face, the pictures he saw circulating on the Internet earlier clouded his vision. All he could see was you in the arms of a man he’s never seen before, as you grinned from ear to ear. If he had to describe the pain, it was equivalent to getting hit by a bus in the middle of the street. He knew he had to leave before he let out words he would only regret.

“I need to be alone right now.”

You let out a sob, “Just let me explain-”

He shrugged your hand off his arm and slammed the door shut. Knowing that with every second that passed, you were on the verge of losing him, you slid down onto the floor and held your face in your hands.

“Sometimes, I wish I could feel…no. It was always you that was…oh forget it.” Sungkyu sighed as he threw another piece of paper towards the bin.

He had been trying to write lyrics for the past 5 hours but nothing seemed to be coming to him tonight. He took a look at his phone and found that it was already midnight. He sighed, he hadn’t even had dinner yet. Making his way towards the kitchen, he hummed a tune as he thought about which type of ramen to make tonight. Just as he was about to turn the stove on, he heard someone call his name from the dining room.

“Hyung…Gyu hyung!”

Puzzled, he walked towards the wall and switched the light on, “Jesus Christ!” he exclaimed in surprise.

Woohyun was sitting on one of the dining chairs, slumped over the table. Sungkyu counted seven empty beer cans in front of him and sighed. He sat on the chair next to his member and placed a hand on his back.

“What is it now?”

Woohyun pursed his lips and let out a tired chuckle, clearly drunk out of his mind. He pushed his phone towards Sungkyu and pointed at the screen several times, “She’s cheating on me.”

The display showed a news article that claimed you had been sneaking around with this mystery man for the past couple of days, and there were pictures to prove it. He swiped further through the article and saw several pictures that made his blood turn cold. He knew you weren’t the type to cheat on Woohyun, you were too good.

“Wait here, no more drinking.”

Woohyun let out a thumbs up, “Where else would I go~ Don’t leave me alone, I have nobody!”

Rolling his eyes, he stepped back into the kitchen and dialed your number. You answered on the first ring.

“Is he there with you?”

“Yes,”

You exhaled out of relief, “Sungkyu do you believe I cheated?”

“No,” he shrugged, “but there are pictures, so I don’t know what to believe.”

“Gyu, the man in the pictures is my cousin. He hasn’t been to Seoul in five years and I just spent a few days with him and his family. I was going to introduce him to Woohyun today, but the article came out this morning. You have to believe me! You know I would never do something like this!”

He raised an eyebrow, “How do I know you’re telling the truth?”

“Oh my God,” you yelled in frustration, “you’ve known me for what? Ten years now? Gyu, you’ve met my cousin! Look at the pictures, he went drinking with us once when you were still training!”

He told you to stay on the line as he walked back towards where Woohyun’s phone was placed. Woohyun seemed to be singing ‘Tell me Why’ as loud as his lungs would allow him, which was awfully disturbing, and sad. Looking at the pictures once again, he realized he DID recognize your cousin.

“Alright, I remember him.”

“Thank God! Will you please tell him to come home so we can talk this out?”

He let out a breathy laugh, “I think it’s best if you come here tomorrow, he’s pretty gone right now.”

He could hear you trying to hold in your cries on the other end of the line, “Alright, I just-I would never do that to him, you know that right?”

“Yes, I know.”

“Goodnight Gyu.”

“Night.”

After hanging up the phone, he sighed and pulled Woohyun’s chair away from the table.

“No, no! What are you doing, I want more drinks! Let’s play a game as well, come on hyung!” Woohyun exclaimed as he threw his arms around Sungkyu.

“Oh God,” he said as he swung one of Woohyun’s arms around his shoulder, “time for bed.”

“Hyung please,” Woohyun looked at him with sorrow in his eyes, “I can’t, I can’t…I’ll dream of her and that guy.”

He shook his head, “She’s yours Woohyun, she will always be yours.”

…

The next morning Woohyun woke up with a loud pounding in his head. It was as if the entire world was spinning around him and he just wanted it to stop. He let out a groan as he attempted to sit up on the bed.

“You’re up.”

He blinked several times to focus his vision as he observed his surroundings. Why was he at Sungkyu’s house? And who was that? He stiffened as soon as he saw you standing at the edge of the bed.

“It’s way too early to argue right now can we just-”

He stopped speaking as soon as he felt something cold on his forehead. You were wiping his face with a towel, brushing his bangs away as you sighed.

“You shouldn’t drink too much.”

“Well you should stop cheating on me.”

He felt you stiffen, “Woohyun I wasn’t cheating on you.”

Rolling his eyes, he swatted your hand away from his face, “I know what I saw.”

“Yes that’s right,” you replied, “but you don’t know who that is.”

“Why would I want to know who he is? So I could kill him?” he scoffed.

You exhaled and sat next to him, “Woohyun, he’s my cousin.”

He was silent for a few seconds before he looked at you, “I don’t believe you.”

You gave him a glare, as if knowing that he would have said that. He then watched you storm outside the room, leaving the door open. A few seconds after he heard the familiar sound of Sungkyu’s nagging as you pushed him in towards the room.

“Why are you bringing me into your business?”

“Because you’re the only one he could trust right now!”

“Oh come on!”

“Just tell him, please?” you pointed towards a very hung-over Woohyun.

With pity in his eyes, Sungkyu clasped his palms together, “She wasn’t cheating on you. That guy really is her cousin, he went out for drinks with me once, I know him.” He said in a very robotic voice.

“Really?”

Nodding furiously, Sungkyu crossed his arms, “Really, she loves you so much and would never do something like that to you. Now, my job is done here and I shall leave.” And with that, he gave the both of you a salute and marched out the room.

You couldn’t help but let out a giggle at his antics, “Do you believe me now?”

Woohyun closed his eyes, “I thought you were leaving me.”

“How could you even think that?” you said as you climbed onto his lap, ignoring the fact that his head was throbbing, “It’s only you Woohyun, it’ll only ever be you.”

He pushed his head onto your chest and wrapped his arms around you, “Please don’t ever leave me.”

You smiled and placed a soft kiss on the top of his head, “I won’t.”

You could feel him inhale your scent as he sighed, “Now, the pain in my heart is gone so can you please do something about the pain in my head?”

And you broke out in fits of laughter.

Bringing the theme of the beautiful yet insecure present to their third mini album ‘The Most Beautiful Moment In Life PT.1′, we met with BTS who came back after 8 months. 

JIN 

Known as a passionate collector of the famous game character ‘Super Mario’, Jin was asked to imagine what if one day Super Mario doesn’t exist anymore. He said, “My memories and my hobby that I have been collecting the whole time would be gone. Wouldn’t it make me feel empty and lonely?”. He also expressed the wish to have fun and play like the characters in the game if Super Mario exists in real life. 

Talking about his famous nickname ‘Shoulder Gangster’, Jin said “I have been hearing the same thing over and over again so I don’t think it’s cool” and requested adorably, “Listen here everyone around me. Next time when you see me, don’t start by talking about my shoulder, start by waving hello to me.” 

Jin who emphasized on ‘handsomeness’ himself said glasses are the hindrance to handsomeness. He couldn’t hide his envy, saying “There’s a lot of handsome men in the world. My wannabe style is Kang Dongwon-sunbaenim. I have been liking him a lot since I was young. He… has the face that I really want to look like.” 

SUGA 

Among Suga’s related search keywords. ‘nice legs’ stands out the most. “Nice legs that outshine girl groups? It doesn’t seem good for a man. I don’t know if it’s because of my physique or not, but it won’t improve no matter how much I do legs workout, huhu,” said Suga. 

We asked him the secret to having not only nice legs but also nice skin, to which he answered, “Skin care? Not at all. I’m too lazy to apply lotion to I just use moisturizer. Also, if this is considered any secret, I take a bath twice a week.” 

Suga, known as the ‘Ultimate Lethargic King’ that even beats INFINITE’s Sungkyu, said, “I have a nickname called ‘grandpa’. My studio is a small room about 3.3m2 , I don’t go out anywhere except for the bathroom for 3 days in a row. But it’s fine. For music, I choose the stick rather than the carrot*. My belief is that no matter how lethargic I am, I’ll fulfill all of my responsibilities till the end.” 

Suga shared he wanted to live so that even when he’s over 60, he would be able to exclaim endlessly “Wow! Can I promote like that?”. Somehow, his lethargy reminds us of actor - singer Yang Donggeun.

J-HOPE 

We were curious where the source of happiness in J-hope, who possesses a positive mind, comes from. He told us how he was a born dancer, “I have that kind of overflowing energy in my body. I liked playing around since I was little, a total mischievous kid back then. I especially liked moving around, that’s why I started dancing. Around my third year of elementary school I think? We had to do morning exercises at school, I personally filmed the dances I made and my friends followed.” 

When asked if he faces any inconvenience because of his bright and positive personality, J-hope answered, “Yeah. When I look a little tired or sulky, everyone asks me if I’m hurt somewhere. A-blood type people are often moody, haha!” 

J-hope is the only one in the group with older sister. As we were asking about her personality and appearance, member Jimin immediately shouted “Pretty!”. J-hope laughed and said, “I don’t know if she’s pretty or not… Personality-wise she’s exactly like me. Her favorite member is not Jimin over there, it’s Jungkook. She often sends me messages about choreography through Kakaotalk and asks me to tell Jungkook, haha!” 

RAP MONSTER 

What if in the future, Rap Monster’s children want to be a singer like their father? “Of course I’ll support them. Whether they choose to be an idol singer or a musician is very important. Would I oppose if my kids do my job? I think there’s no way parents don’t have any influence on their kids. My parents? Please support me, haha!” 

Rap Monster scored 850 points in TOEIC exam in his second year of middle school. He’s nicknamed ‘Sexy Brain Man’, having his IQ recorded at 148 in second year of high school. He also assessed himself to be “good at English”. We asked if there is any member he wants to tutor English, to which he replied, “We need it when doing activities overseas so I want to teach the members and my sister too. My sister wants to be a flight attendant… I guess I’m worried about her.” 

Currently appearing on tvN ‘Problematic Man’, Rap Monster picked Jun Hyunmoo and Tyler as the panelists he looks up to. He shared, “Hyunmoo-hyung is appearing on many programs. He loves working so much that he gets IV almost every day. And Tyler-hyung makes me wonder how far can one get when learning a foreign language. Why America is a developed country, his perfect logic and perspective on the world is like a philosopher’s so I learn a lot from him.” 

He also uncovered the hidden rumor spread among fans for 2 years. They said Rap Monster’s heart once stopped. He laughed and said “There’s a line in the 2nd album’s intro that goes like ‘My heart stopped when I was 9 years old’. It’s actually a metaphorical way of saying ‘I lived a meaningless life as if my heart has stopped’, but fans took it literally. Wouldn’t there be a surgery scar on my chest when I take off my shirt then? (laughs)” 

JIMIN 

Jimin, who turned 20 and became a college student this year, shared he enjoyed Japanese lessons when taking Internet lectures amidst his frequent overseas schedule. He revealed to take extreme care of himself, saying “I’m the type to gain weight when I eat so I became sensitive about dieting. Especially my eyes, lips and cheeks keep puffing up! I’m now on a diet too, I’m trying to eat less and stay away from salty food as much as I can.” 

Looking at fans’ blogs, there are a lot of photos of V adoring Jimin, while other photos capture Jimin having a crush on V. We were curious about the two, so Jimin explained, “We’re the same age, so if there’s anything I find hard to talk about with the older ones, I talk to him and he takes care of me. It’s probably why we seem closer.” 

When asked if there’s any day when his visual is not in its prime, he said “I want so too. If fans think like that, I want to continue to be so.” 

V 

Thanks to V’s good looks, his past photos look so handsome that the fans were shocked. Member Jimin who went to the same high school stepped up as a witness, “It was no joke.” 

“I like making friends a lot, but I wasn’t popular much,” V said. Meanwhile, Jimin made a speechless (?) expression and revealed “There wasn’t any female student that didn’t know V. They all nudged each other and looked at him. Wherever we go everyone knows V!”. 

BTS was chosen as the most prominent group among those debuted in 2013. When asked about the secret to their popularity, the members answered that it’s thanks to V’s stan attracting skill. Suga continued, “The fans like V’s unique charm that we can’t understand. He doesn’t pretend to be cute but he looks cute, haha!” Rap Monster added, “V’s selfie skill is instinctive. He attracts the fans with the so-called unedited ‘boyfriend look’.” 

Even though he has a lot of opposite gender friends, V said he isn’t worried about what the fans would think. He laughed, “I have to receive permission to date from my dad, so there’s no worry of getting into a scandal like others.” 

JUNGKOOK 

Jungkook revealed unlike everyone’s expectation of his growth in terms of height along with music, since he’s the youngest, “it seems like my height stops at 178cm.” He explained the reason behind the big scar on his right cheek, “It’s from the time I fought with my brother on who gets to play computer games first when I was young. Come to think of it, it was just a trivial thing. But I don’t blame my brother. We’re guys, don’t all guys grow up like that?”, showing a manly side of himself.

Nicknamed ‘Golden Maknae’ for being good at singing and dancing, even working out, Jungkook shared “I’m not good at studying. (laughs) But I only got one wrong in the Japanese mid-term exam.” Rap Monster praised, “He doesn’t like studying, but once he’s determined he will do really well.” 

The members revealed Jungkook’s excellent drawing skill, to which Jungkook replied “I’m really confident with real life drawings.” They playfully told him to draw Producer Bang Shihyuk’s face in 3 seconds and he did on the interview spot. (Drawing below) 

On being known as the natural enemy (?) of Jimin, Jungkook explained “We actually get along really well.” Jimin laughed, confessing “Actually I lose all the time too. I’m not confident I can win Jungkook.” He added, “I think you need talent to be able to have muscles too. That’s why I always lose to him, he’s muscular.”

Engineers mix and match materials to make new stretchy electronics

At the heart of any electronic device is a cold, hard computer chip, covered in a miniature city of transistors and other semiconducting elements. Because computer chips are rigid, the electronic devices that they power, such as our smartphones, laptops, watches, and televisions, are similarly inflexible.

Now a process developed by MIT engineers may be the key to manufacturing flexible electronics with multiple functionalities in a cost-effective way.

The process is called  “remote epitaxy” and involves growing thin films of semiconducting material on a large, thick wafer of the same material, which is covered in an intermediate layer of graphene. Once the researchers grow a semiconducting film, they can peel it away from the graphene-covered wafer and then reuse the wafer, which itself can be expensive depending on the type of material it’s made from. In this way, the team can copy and peel away any number of thin, flexible semiconducting films, using the same underlying wafer.

In a paper published today in the journal Nature, the researchers demonstrate that they can use remote epitaxy to produce freestanding films of any functional material. More importantly, they can stack films made from these different materials, to produce flexible, multifunctional electronic devices.

The researchers expect that the process could be used to produce stretchy electronic films for a wide variety of uses, including virtual reality-enabled contact lenses, solar-powered skins that mold to the contours of your car, electronic fabrics that respond to the weather, and other flexible electronics that seemed until now to be the stuff of Marvel movies.

“You can use this technique to mix and match any semiconducting material to have new device functionality, in one flexible chip,” says Jeehwan Kim, an associate professor of mechanical engineering at MIT. “You can make electronics in any shape.”

Kim’s co-authors include Hyun S. Kum, Sungkyu Kim, Wei Kong, Kuan Qiao, Peng Chen, Jaewoo Shim, Sang-Hoon Bae, Chanyeol Choi, Luigi Ranno, Seungju Seo, Sangho Lee, Jackson Bauer, and Caroline Ross from MIT, along with collaborators from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Cornell University, the University of Virginia, Penn State University, Sun Yat-Sen University, and the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute.

Buying time

Kim and his colleagues reported their first results using remote epitaxy in 2017. Then, they were able to produce thin, flexible films of semiconducting material by first placing a layer of graphene on a thick, expensive wafer made from a combination of exotic metals. They flowed atoms of each metal over the graphene-covered wafer and found the atoms formed a film on top of the graphene, in the same crystal pattern as the underlying wafer. The graphene provided a nonstick surface from which the researchers could peel away the new film, leaving the graphene-covered wafer, which they could reuse. 

In 2018, the team showed that they could use remote epitaxy to make semiconducting materials from metals in groups 3 and 5 of the periodic table, but not from group 4. The reason, they found, boiled down to polarity, or the respective charges between the atoms flowing over graphene and the atoms in the underlying wafer.

Since this realization, Kim and his colleagues have tried a number of increasingly exotic semiconducting combinations. As reported in this new paper, the team used remote epitaxy to make flexible semiconducting films from complex oxides — chemical compounds made from oxygen and at least two other elements. Complex oxides are known to have a wide range of electrical and magnetic properties, and some combinations can generate a current when physically stretched or exposed to a magnetic field.

Kim says the ability to manufacture flexible films of complex oxides could open the door to new energy-havesting devices, such as sheets or coverings that stretch in response to vibrations and produce electricity as a result. Until now, complex oxide materials have only been manufactured on rigid, millimeter-thick wafers, with limited flexibility and therefore limited energy-generating potential.

The researchers did have to tweak their process to make complex oxide films. They initially found that when they tried to make a complex oxide such as strontium titanate (a compound of strontium, titanium, and three oxygen atoms), the oxygen atoms that they flowed over the graphene tended to bind with the graphene’s carbon atoms, etching away bits of graphene instead of following the underlying wafer’s pattern and binding with strontium and titanium. As a surprisingly simple fix, the researchers added a second layer of graphene.

“We saw that by the time the first layer of graphene is etched off, oxide compounds have already formed, so elemental oxygen, once it forms these desired compounds, does not interact as heavily with graphene,” Kim explains. “So two layers of graphene buys some time for this compound to form.”

Peel and stack

The team used their newly tweaked process to make films from multiple complex oxide materials, peeling off each 100-nanometer-thin layer as it was made. They were also able to stack together layers of different complex oxide materials and effectively glue them together by heating them slightly, producing a flexible, multifunctional device.

“This is the first demonstration of stacking multiple nanometers-thin membranes like LEGO blocks, which has been impossible because all functional electronic materials exist in a thick wafer form,” Kim says.

In one experiment, the team stacked together films of two different complex oxides: cobalt ferrite, known to expand in the presence of a magnetic field, and PMN-PT, a material that generates voltage when stretched. When the researchers exposed the multilayer film to a magnetic field, the two layers worked together to both expand and produce a small electric current. 

The results demonstrate that remote epitaxy can be used to make flexible electronics from a combination of materials with different functionalities, which previously were difficult to combine into one device. In the case of cobalt ferrite and PMN-PT, each material has a different crystalline pattern. Kim says that traditional epitaxy techniques, which grow materials at high temperatures on one wafer, can only combine materials if their crystalline patterns match. He says that with remote epitaxy, researchers can make any number of different films, using different, reusable wafers, and then stack them together, regardless of their crystalline pattern.

“The big picture of this work is, you can combine totally different materials in one place together,” Kim says. “Now you can imagine a thin, flexible device made from layers that include a sensor, computing system, a battery, a solar cell, so you could have a flexible, self-powering, internet-of-things stacked chip.”

The team is exploring various combinations of semiconducting films and is working on developing prototype devices, such as something Kim is calling an “electronic tattoo” — a flexible, transparent chip that can attach and conform to a person’s body to sense and wirelessly relay vital signs such as temperature and pulse.

“We can now make thin, flexible, wearable electronics with the highest functionality,” Kim says. “Just peel off and stack up.”
