I can just imagine the initial thoughts of the high guard like "heartbreaking: two of the most annoying bots in Iacon became friends."

I rlly love it when starscream has ill fated relationships and man. There is the potential for Sentinel & Starscream to have had something great.... italso makes Starscream fun bc now he's the one being betrayed not the betrayer, augh!!! The emotions!!!

I kept it purposefully vague in the fic there's a swathe of reasons for Starscream to approach Sentinel. On the kinder side, maybe he was happy to find a kindred spirit. On the sinister, maybe he was smug about how Sentinel held himself above the varied troops but still had the same violent impulses, and he was waiting for the right moment to bring him down. Maybe it's both!
