suna rintaro x reader. 1.6k wc. ノ sfw ノ fluff ノ college au ノ suna and reader are roommates ノ jealousy ofc :3 ノ + atsumu appearance !
moving in with suna was a bad idea.
he’s not a bad roommate. sure, he takes extra long showers and uses up all the hot water at least once a week and you’ve had to remind him to wash his dishes every now and then, but he’s not a bad roommate.
your frustration that comes with being suna’s roommate has less to do with him and more to do with the feelings you’ve been hellbent on keeping a secret ever since they became known to you a few weeks ago.
that much is getting harder these days with midterms being upon you. there’s been a girl over the apartment—some chick suna was paired with to work on a presentation. that fact alone doesn’t bother you; suna was kind enough to ask before inviting her over. she’s where your problem lies.
she’s shameless, really. always laughs a little too loud at jokes that aren’t that funny and always sits a little too close to suna when you’re positive the coffee table they’re working at isn’t that small. and the worst part is that suna is oblivious to it all.
even now he’s blissfully ignorant of the way she’s not so discreetly flirting with him. she’s supposed to be packing up to leave but, like she’s had some sort of life-changing revelation, she stops in her tracks and turns to suna, placing a hand on his shoulder. “you have a volleyball game this week, right?”
from the kitchen counter, you roll your eyes and stuff another spoonful of rice into your mouth. you wouldn’t normally eat in the kitchen while she was here but one too many spills by your laptop and the inevitable crumbs left in your bed have kept you from taking your meals back to your room. you’re starting to think a sticky keyboard or the unpleasant feel of tiny pieces of food against your skin would be preferable to whatever you’re about to witness.
suna nods and she pulls her hand away to clap. “perfect! i’ll be there to cheer you on!”
her exaggerated excitement causes you to snort, earning the attention of both of them. there’s a curious expression on suna’s face but the girl is all but staring daggers at you like you popped her bubble of joy and ruined the moment. you’re tempted to laugh.
“sorry, saw something funny on my phone,” you lie, shooting the two of them a smile before turning around to wash your dishes.
you dawdle at the sink until you hear the front door close. suna appears as you’re drying your hands and you spare him a glance, wondering if he’ll bring up your strange behavior. part of you hopes he does—maybe then you could open his eyes, finally make him privy to that girl’s blatant attraction to him.
he doesn’t question it, though. instead, he asks, “can i see what you were laughing at?”
❤︎ ❤︎ ❤︎
“you don’t get it, ‘tsumu, she’s actually the worst,” you tell him, dramatically dropping your head on his shoulder.
“why don’t you just leave when you know she’s coming over?”
your eyes cut over to atsumu, an unsavory frown tugging at your lips due to his outrageous suggestion. you can’t believe your best friend would side with her. “why should i? i’m the one who lives here.”
“because, clearly, it’s bothering you.” he isn’t the least bit apologetic for his outlandish recommendation. “look, it’s either that or you come out and tell suna that you like him. i’m tired of hearing you bitch and moan every time i’m here. we’re supposed to be watching them do that.” atsumu points to the screen of your laptop that’s playing some trashy reality show the two of you are hooked on.
you click your tongue at his blunt response, lifting your head from his shoulder. maybe he’s right—complaining won’t get you anywhere, but you’re too proud to tell him so. “hey. this is the thanks i get for putting up with your relationship problems? you ungrateful brat.”
you flick his forehead which elicits a shocked gasp from the blonde. a victorious grin is in the process of making its way to your lips when the plush of one of the many stuffed animals you keep in your room hits your cheek. your jaw drops in surprise at atsumu’s courageous counter.
“i’m going to kill you.”
you aren’t usually one for using your precious plushies as a weapon but any one within your reach is promptly launched at the setter. he dodges some and is whacked by others, all while theatrically screeching for you to stop. you’ve still got some steam left by the time you run out of ammunition and atsumu can tell. he reaches out, taking your wrists in his hands to prevent you from doing anything.
“wait, i’m sorry,” he breathes out, strands of messy hair falling in front of his face. “truce?”
you’re considering whether or not you want to take him up on his offer when your door swings open. suna’s on the other side.
his eyes scan the room, taking in the mess of colorful stuffed animals strewn across the space before they land on you. not you, but the way atsumu’s holding you. something about it makes his jaw tighten.
“hey.” your voice, breathier than usual, convinces suna to meet your eye. “what’s up?”
the scene he walked in on almost made him forget why he’d come by in the first place. “i’m ordering food. do you want anything?”
you hum in contemplation and then smile. “i’ll have whatever you’re having.”
he nods, readying to close the door. “i’ll call you when it’s here.”
the click of the door shutting sounds over the indiscernible voices coming from your laptop. taking your hands back from atsumu, you straighten out your clothes as thoughts of suna cross your mind. he usually finds any way to make a conversation drag, lingering in your doorway even when you’ve told him to leave so you can go to sleep.
you’re about to ask atsumu if he caught on to his friend’s abnormal lack of words, but he’s got another idea.
“yeah, thanks, i don’t want anything,” atsumu shouts at the closed door.
forty minutes pass before the episode ends and atsumu takes his leave. you see him out, planning your next viewing party as he puts on his shoes. he whispers something about settling shit with suna before then so he isn’t subject to your fussing the next time he comes around and darts down the hall before your fist can meet his shoulder.
you make a mental note to get back at him when you see him tomorrow as you shut the door and spin on the ball of your foot. from the foyer, you can see suna situated at the coffee table. there are plastic delivery bags on the surface and he seems to have already started eating from his portion.
“what happened to letting me know when the food was here?” you ask, shuffling over to his figure and plopping down on the floor beside him.
through a mouthful of noodles, he replies, “i didn’t want to interrupt.”
you almost scold him for talking with food in his mouth but then his words register. your eyebrows furrow as you split your wooden chopsticks. “interrupt what, exactly?”
it’s petty, he knows, but he can’t ignore the feeling that’s been gnawing at him since he saw atsumu touching you so comfortably. it’s like the image is seared into his eyelids and he’s forced to see it every time he blinks.
“i don’t know.” he flicks a mushroom with his utensil. “just seemed like you two were in the middle of something when i walked in.”
you hum, not paying much mind to his words as you pick up the stir-fry with your chopsticks. the noodles hang right in front of your lips when you respond, “i guess we kind of were.”
suna frowns at your answer. he wanted to hear you say it was nothing so he could kick himself for being so unreasonably bent out of shape. instead, your reply fuels him to ask the question he’d been wondering about for nearly the past hour. “are you and atsumu together?”
“what?” you sputter around your noodles. you want to tell him no but, unlike suna, you aren’t one for talking with your mouth full. your silence, however, only leads suna to keep going.
“i don’t care if you are but you should have told me so i wouldn’t just barge in on-”
“i’m not dating atsumu,” you finally reveal after swallowing your food. you’re not sure what possesses you to say the next part—perhaps you feel the need to really drive your point home—but it comes out speedily. “i like you.”
quiet blankets the room following your declaration. the two of you stare at each other with parted lips, suna’s eyes slightly widened in surprise. his lack of a response makes your heart beat heavily against your chest. it’s loud in your ears and you wonder if he can hear it too.
you breathe out an awkward laugh after a couple more seconds of silence. “look-”
“i like you, too,” suna admits.
“jeez, suna, you should have just said that!” you slap his shoulder, cheeks warming in belated embarrassment. “i thought i was going to have to move out because of one-sided feelings.”
“sorry.” he chuckles, rubbing the spot you had just hit. it didn’t hurt, but it felt different than the ones he had been met with in the past. he could get used to the tingles you leave behind on his skin. “i had to let it set in.”
thanks for reading! reblogs and comments are greatly appreciated :3

Chapter 11: If You
[prev] [next]
[masterlist]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I want to thank everyone for coming. I know some of you came from other cities, and it’s great to see you come here in Hyogo. Just now, I heard that all of the dogs have been adopted. I couldn’t explain the happiness I feel knowing that these dogs will finally have a safer place to come home to. But this is only the start. Once again, thank you. Please enjoy the rest of the day,” you say in the middle of the little open area of the shelter. Everyone claps so you bow and then start looking around.
“Hey, (Y/N).” Kuroo calls you and you see him holding Rice. “Can I bring your dog home?”
“No. Put him down and let him play with the other dogs,” you scold him. He puts Rice down and the dog runs to where Kenma is. The long haired man is seated at the corner, probably vlogging as well. “Where’s your wife?”
“I don’t know. The last time I saw her was at the airport yesterday. She’s probably with Alisa or something,” he answers you, shrugging nonchalantly. “Where’s your boyfriend?”
“He said he had somewhere important to go to first, but he’ll be here,” you tell him, then continue to interact with other people.
The Red Falcons are around, just like they promised. Suna brought Komori along, and the libero’s reaction to seeing you was priceless. He nearly fainted when you gave him a hug. Osamu catered so he was at the kitchen most of the time. Atsumu was playing around with his teammates, scaring the shit out of Sakusa by randomly holding up a dog to his face. The curly haired man only came because his daughter, Kia, begged him to go in her place. His sole purpose is to take pictures of the dogs for Kia.
An hour passes, people start going home, so you stay nearby the main door to greet them out. As you stand there, you hear a familiar voice, like literally. It’s a family member’s voice.
“Mom? Why are you here?” You ask in shock, forgetting to greet her properly.
Your feelings rages in fire just from seeing her. You and your mother have never been in good terms. She doesn’t see you as a daughter, but rather a competition. Ever since you were born, your father saw you as the most important girl in the world. And she hated that, she hated you. For that, she makes sure to give you a hard time.
“Is that what you say after not seeing your mother for a long time?” She says sternly, so you hesitantly give her a hug. “I came here to see how you are of course. And I wanted to talk to you about something. Sei’s here, too. He’s just looking for a spot to park.”
Your worries rise even more just from hearing your brother’s name. Sei definitely knows about Kita. He knows everything going on in your life without you knowing how. Whenever you come home for holiday, he just scolds you about all your life decisions. He’ll probably tell you off about dating a farmer, too. But compared to your mother, he is a saint. He’s Team (Y/N) all the way despite nagging at you a lot.
“So where’s your farmer boy?” Your brother says as soon as he nears you and your mother.
“He’s busy. You won’t meet him today,” you snap back, rolling your eyes at him.
“So the rumors are true, then?” Your mom hums. “Since he’s busy, when can we meet if we can’t see him today?”
“On our wedding day,” you deadpan and your mother chuckles. She pats your head so you move your head away in irritation. She smirks at you. “What did you do this time?”
“Nothing.” She smiles at you. You look at your brother and he’s eyeing your mother suspiciously as well. If there’s anything you and your brother can agree on, it’s that your mother is evil. “How about we eat dinner tonight? As family.”
“Okay,” you agree, not wanting to start an argument with her.
An hour or two later, Kita still doesn’t show up. You feel disappointed but you won’t get mad at him until you know where and what he really did. As he said, it’s an important matter. It might has something to do with her grandmother.
You leave Rice in Osamu’s care, without forgetting to warn him about not to overfeed the poor dog. Sei, your mother, and you proceed to the city. Since it’s too early for dinner, your mother decides to go shopping. You and Sei feel that something is up with your mother, but you can’t pinpoint what it is yet.
After shopping, the three of you direct to a shabby ramen place at a random street of Osaka, which heightens your doubts about your mother. She would never eat at such place. What exactly is she doing?
The waitress does her usual greeting as you enter, leading you to a table at the end the of hall. The place is packed with teenagers, couples, and just normal people. But making things even weirder, the table beside yours is empty. The waitresses lead coming in customers to another table or make them wait.
“What would you like to order?” The waitress asks you.
“I’ll get your best seller,” your mother answers. You and your brother say yours, then the waitress leaves to prepare your order. “So how’s university?”
“We’ve been together for more than 3 hours, but you’re asking just now?” You cock an eyebrow up and your brother calls you sternly. You sigh before answering your mother, “It’s fine. I’m getting good grades.”
“That’s good to hear. How about the whole vlogging thing?” Your mother continues to ask and you know where this is going.
“Mom, let her do what she wants,” Sei tells your mother before you can remark back.
“Welcome!” The waitresses greet as someone enters the store. Out of boredom, you check who it is and it’s Ayako? A man follows behind her and your heart shatters into millions of pieces then and there.
“Kita...” you mutter under your breath, clutching onto the chopsticks on the table.
Your head goes empty. Your heart drops. Every moment with Kita flashes your mind in one quick second. You know you can never compete with Ayako, but he should have told you. He promised to show up today. No wonder why he wasn’t replying to any of your messages. Because he was with her the whole day.
Ayako’s the important matter.
Did you even matter to Kita?
What do you do now? Do you slap him? Do you shout at him? Your head is clouded in anger. But somehow you still manage to think about your dog. ‘What about Rice? Kita mostly takes care of him. He might miss him.’
Sei notices your sudden change in mood and looks at where your eyes are stuck in. He sees Kita and Ayako walking over to the table just beside yours. He gives your mother a look of disappointment.
“What’s wrong with the two of you?” Your mother asks, eyes blinking innocently.
Kita sees you too, and his eyes widen in shock. He’s not one to be surprised, but this is something he definitely didn’t expect. In his mind, he’s literally shouting and begging for you not to misunderstand the situation. But he thinks it’s too late since the chopsticks your gripping on is already split in half.
Kita’s about to talk to you, but Ayako takes a hold on his wrist, pulling him to sit back down on the chair. Your mother starts laughing at your expression and you finally connect the dots. She orchestrated this whole thing. You should have known sooner. You should have seen it coming. After all, she’s the one who placed in your head that you marry a rich man. She’s the one who desperately wants you to marry into a rich family so she can have more money in her pocket.
“You are the worst mother ever,” you spat before slamming the chopsticks on the table then storming out of the store. Kita stands up from his seat as well, quickly following you out.
“Ayako, dear... I paid you a lot for this. I even bought you a ticket home. So do your job and make sure they break up,” your mother tells Ayako and she hesitantly nods and runs after the two of you.
Sei stands up then scoffs, “You know mother... the devil works hard, but you work way harder.”
“(Y/N)!” Kita calls you, his pace getting quicker as he sees you walk further than him. He finally catches up to you and he grabs your wrist but you shake his hand off.
“If you still love her, I understand. I don’t care anymore if you get back together. Did you even like me? Because to be honest, I think I love you. Say that it’s too quick for me to tell, and I think that, too, but I really do. And it hurts so much. I wish you did not date me when you still thought of her. Because it makes me wonder, ‘where was I then?’ Where was I the whole time?” You manage to say without your voice cracking, but you feel your cheeks getting wet from the tears coming out of your eyes. When did you even start crying?
“(Y/N). Please let me exp-” Kita starts to speak but you don’t let him finish.
“I’m taking Rice with me. Don’t expect to see us at home.”

Birthday Girl...
So what if I want a suna x reader x terushima for my birthday? I’m gonna write it myself and no one can stop me ok? Ok! Also, I know some people don’t like the whole stoner idea, but…I’m not one of these people so… anyway! Happy (late) birthday to me!
Warning: smut, threesome, anal, mention of alcohol and weed…
When your friends said they were throwing you a party for your birthday, you thought of a small one, just between your closest peers. But obviously, it’s not the case. The house filled to the brim with people, you’re barely able to breathe, faces you’ve never seen before, you can only assume they’re here for the free alcohol and drugs, and you can’t blame them. Music that was definitely not your preferred genre blasting through the speakers, but right now, with all the booze flowing through your blood, drowning you out, you couldn’t care. It’s not always you get to be the center of attention, and honestly you always avoided it, but it’s a special occasion and how mean of you would it be if you didn’t enjoy your friends’ effort and kindness to the fullest?
That’s what you’re telling yourself, when halfway through the night you found yourself grinding against a much taller man; one of your hand in his fake blond hair, the other holding a red solo cup. His, were on your waist, pulling you oh so close you could feel everything. His breath smelled like a mix of alcohol and smoke, his hands large and hot caressing your skin leaving you burning, his eyes, golden brown had you drowning in their artificial sweetness, but all of that didn’t compare to the way his knee was between your legs. Your clothed cunt pressed on his muscular thigh, the rough fabric of his jeans rubbing on your clit had shivers running through your body. You were so close to losing your mind, so close to falling into insanity, if it weren’t for a foreign voice breaking the two bodies apart. “Hey Terushima, having fun with the birthday girl?” He sounded teasing, his words slurring together; you had to concentrate hard enough to understand. The man glued to your side, Terushima you learned, rolled his eyes, mischievous glint in them, taking the joint from the dark-haired boy’s grip, taking a hit and blowing it to your face, laughing as you glared at, but other than that he ignored you, too interested in answering the other male. “Mhm, man, Suna… you should join! What do you think special girl?” Locking eyes with him, red and hazy, though you can tell he’s checking you. Tongue wetting his lips, taking a step closer to you and breath hitting your face making you rub yourself on the leg still between yours. His voice low and smooth as he growled in your ear “I think that will be a fun present, don’t you think?” Without second thought, you nodded your head, it’s all they needed to go for it.
Walking over each other, hands roaming on each other’s bodies, how you made it to a room without tripping was beyond you. Though that didn’t matter right now. The teeth sinking into the tender skin of your neck, cold metal swiping over it contrasting perfectly against the heat radiating from your body. Nimble hands on your sides, brushes of the tips making you shiver in need as he took off your shirt. So lost between the two of them you couldn’t help but moan, quiet yet passionate eliciting something in them that you were just about to discover. Suna detached himself from you, taking off the rest of your clothes, both whistling as they saw the string of arousal stretching from your heat to your panties as they were sliding down your legs. He then threw Yuuji a look that you couldn’t quite decipher, all you knew is that it got your knees weak in lust. Pushing you back till you were sitting on the edge of the mattress, giving you a kiss and blowing smoke filling your lungs, before backing away slightly, moving his hips to the feint rhythm of the music as he started taking off his own clothes. Giggling a bit, though you followed his every move, drooling as he exposed his abs to your eyes, filling you with the need to glide your fingers against him, but before you get up, Terushima pinned you to place, before joining Suna in his lap dance. Humming along, showing you his pearly whites in a smile as he shimmied down his skin tight jeans, tripping a few times, laughing with you whenever he did so and sending Rintaro a sly smirk when he facepalmed at him. The way their bodies moved and twisted, so gracefully to the beat and slowly making their way to you, had you unconsciously rubbing your thighs together, pussy drooling at just the sight of them. Standing tall and proud, just waiting to be buried inside your holes and the idea of it has you moaning in impatience. Rin was the one to lift you up, sitting down only to drop you in his lap. Your back pressed tightly against his chest, feeling ever ragged breath he took, hearing each and every little groan that let his lips. His hands parting your legs, holding the steady as he watched Terushima kneel before him, his piercing shining under the low light at his tongue poked out, licking a strip between your folds, making sure to pay extra attention to your bundle of nerves. His eyes on your face, watching, observing each of your expressions, the furrow of your brows, your teeth digging into your lower lip, trying to keep the moans at bay but failing miserably as they got louder and louder whenever he sucked on that special pearl. Your body squirming and jumping, grinding and pushing back against Suna’s dick, driving you closer to the edge whenever you felt it twitch. His mouth leaving hues of blues and red on you neck and collar bones, his free hand twisting your nipples, pinching and pulling at them. It was the combination of Terushima’s skillful tongue and Rin’s praises that pushed you over the edge, off of the cliff and drowning in pleasure. Reaching your high, your juices dripping from Yuuji’s face, pooling on Suna’s thighs, and as mind crashing as your orgasm was, you wanted more.
It’s like they could tell. From the grin on their faces, the glint in their eyes, their whole aura had your heart beating faster and heat rushing to your core, again. Pulling you up, the blond’s fingers sending shivers down your spine as they brushed against your skin, placing below your ass to lift you up. So gentle, so uncharacteristically from him, it got your heart squeezing in a foreign feeling. His lips on your neck, peppering kisses and bites. His cock twitching against you, making you moan and whine for more pleasure, and you almost forgot that you weren’t alone when you heard the other man chuckle. Before you could even look at him, the sound of spitting resonated through the room, his dick glistening as he pumped it, spreading his pre all over it before he got up and made his way over. “Such a pretty girl… Tell us, you want to have both of your holes stuffed? Wanna have them both dripping our cum. That would be an amazing sight, what do you think Yuuji?” You couldn’t help but whine, begging them to give you more. His words alone had you clenching around nothing, grinding down and trying to shove the pierced cock inside you, but he squeezed you tighter, preventing you from moving. “Don’t worry baby, you’ll get what you want eventually, just be patient!” With that being said, you felt a finger pushing against the tight walls of your asshole. Slowly making its way deeper into you making you throw your head back and let out a cry in both pain and pleasure, and even more when the high boy inserted another one, scissoring them inside you to stretch you open. The ache slowly became extasy, you soon began to beg for more and more, your walls fluttering around nothing, and the tears gathering in the corners of your eyes was all it took for Terushima to lower you on his dick. Sinking so deeply inside you, he couldn’t care when you told him to slow down, too eager to be balls deep in you. Your nails digging in his shoulders, creating blood crescent you bet he’ll be flaunting around the next day. The fingers in your back hole coming to a stop and withdrawing, Rintaro couldn’t help the deep breath he took, the shiver flowing all through his body while seeing your empty hole clenching. His hands on your hips, holding you still for a moment while he started pushing his length in. inch by inch, the pain was becoming too much, your tears rolling down your cheeks, an agglomeration of both their names leaving your lips in a discomfort whine. They both slowed for a bit, giving you time to adjust; the shorter of the two dipping down and pressing his lips to yours, cold metal swiping across your lower lip, granting him access and letting him discover and explore each and every corner of your wet cavern. The other one, the man behind you, looped his arm around you, slipping it between your and the blond’s bodies, travelling south, between your folds and finding your clit. Pressing on it, circling it languidly as way to distract you; and it worked. Your moans getting louder, your body squirming and moving like it had a mind of its own, asking the males to just get on with it. And how could they refuse you; you are the birthday girl after all! Picking up the pace, both of them thrusting into you, rearranging your insides. Still sensitive from you last orgasm, you couldn’t help your walls fluttering around them, tightening around them. So lost in the pleasure, you mind going blank, incoherent string of words leaving your lips and echoing through the room, thank god for the loud music outside or it would’ve been so embarrassing. Mixed to that was their groans and heavy breath, the sound of skin clapping adding to the symphony. And you can’t help it, none of you could. When the knot inside you broke, your eyes rolled back and tongue lolled out, your head thrown back and your nails clawing, you reached your high, probably the most intense you’ve ever had. And soon after, Yuuji came, painting your insides white with praises falling from his lips like a mantra “You’re so good baby, gosh you’re so fucking tight… gosh you got
me going crazy” His words had you whimpering, eyes fluttering you could barely look at him. And Suna didn’t too long, with a moan of your name he reached climax, pulling out to see his seed spilling out of you. “You naughty girl, you liked having both of your holes destroyed? Don’t worry, the night’s not over….. Enjoy your birthday babe”

hq as my discovery weekly | part one
warnings: this is completely sfw, combo of fluff and angst
characters included: kenma, akaashi, oikawa, suna, koganegawa, ushijima, bokuto, kuroo, hinata, kita, terushima, iwaizumi, osamu, kageyama, sakusa
a/n: this was a random idea i thought of but i think it’ll be really cute haha. maybe you guys’ll find some new songs in the process! totally encourage anyone to use this idea if they want cus this was super fun to write!
playing... one through fifteen / sixteen through thirty
↪ “cotton candy lemonade" by blu detiger: kenma kozume
i've been up too long, something's wrong / watch the rising sun / turning all my nights to days
i've been on my own, come find me now / i'm lonely to the bone / but I don't feel so low when you're around / let's run away from home
you'll bе my kaleidoscope, my color in this life / watching thе world fade away
kenma is not the most extroverted and he’s in his head a lot, so he’s someone that might not always see the ‘color’ in things that exist around him. but when it comes to you, well, you’re someone that makes him look up from his screen a little longer than usual.
↪ “love affair” by umi: akaashi keiji
don't overthink this is love / maybe it's just a crush
i hope what I feel is enough / maybe this is just lies
i wanna know how to feel, what to feel, what's right / i never know / 'cause when it gets real, I just run away / and hide from you
akaashi gets anxiety. he used to be certain about a lot of things—his intelligence, his skill, his happiness, but most important to him was his feelings for you. he’s overthinking again, he knows it, but he’s getting an uncontrollable itch that maybe this is all in his head; he doesn’t love you, he just think he does. but when you’re in his arms, breathing even and eyes fluttered shut, he remembers what you always told him: it doesn’t matter what he knows, it matters what he feels. and he feels like the luckiest man alive.
↪ “coke” by iii addicts, danice: oikawa tooru
come closer, i been eyeing you from way over / so it's time i come for some closure
had to let her know that you could lick this / shake it up, it's gonna probably gon' bust
why, tell me why / why am i not satisfied / every time i cross that line / i feel it, i feel it
oikawa feels like tantalus: a man constantly reaching for a goal just out of reach, straining his muscles and screaming his voice hoarse just for a glimpse of an unattainable destiny. he’s desperate to get ahead, and while he may be running at top speed at all times, the finish line doesn’t seem to be getting any closer. his worst fear is that, some time he’ll slow his pace and look back and realize he hasn’t gotten very far at all.
↪ “baby powder” by jenevieve: suna rintaro
i'll put up with you babe / there's somethings I won't take / baby don't feel me false / yeah that turns me off
you're making me so high now / you're everything I'd ever want / you're keeping me so dry now / you're everything I'd never want uh
plastic on the floor but it ain't for me / ima go up to the place that i'd rather be
suna is straightforward. he won’t deal with your bullshit, and he learns that you won’t deal with his either, which makes you so appealing. when he starts letting more and more of you in, he feels you slipping through his fingers. you wanted to be friends, so you treat him as one. he doesn’t remember when he started wanting more.
↪ “chandelier (instrumental version)” by paquin: koganegawa kanji
instrumental so no lyrics lol
koganegawa is bubbly. he’s a bouncer: he bounces between social circles, bounces colors behind his eyes, and bounces back after adversity. he’s an amiable guy, and it’s landed him plenty of friends and opportunities, but best of all, it’s landed him you.
↪ “l-over” by u.s. girls: ushijima wakatoshi
my lover has no heart / magic moving blood around that body / he's cool to the touch / i don't see him much / but when I do, he does nothing for me
can you imagine trying to get / some satisfaction out of a stone?
spare me any talk of your future life / i don't know what I'll do without you
ushijima is stubborn. he’s deadset on achieving his goals for the future, and if you can’t work with them, you better work around them. you’re tired of how he grounds you; you thought it was a blessing at first, having a guy that knew what he wanted and would always act as a constant in your life, but you’ve started to see that he’s not a lighthouse anymore, he’s an anchor. he’s an anchor that’s chaining you to the ocean floor and will drown you if you, even for a second, stop kicking your legs to stay afloat.
↪ “magic!” by リアムMAZE1981: bokuto koutarou
and when you smile at me that way / well you can warm the coldest day / it's magic
and all i have to do is think of you / to make the music start to play / then i dance down the street / and the people I meet stop and say hey hey
and when you want me you just clap your hands / and I'll be with you right away / then we'll float on a breeze / while the leaves in the trees softly say hey hey / magic ways, my friend / you love the girl with magic ways and it's true / i might as well give in
bokuto is bright. he tramps around the world with the light of the sun illuminating his face. there is nothing in the universe that could ever drag him down, especially not with you around. you’ve cast some kind of spell on him, he’s sure of it, because your very presence makes him certain that he’s immortal. he must be, because when he’s with you, he’s withstanding the heat of a thousand suns that erases the darkness in every shadow, corner, and crevice of his life.
↪ “i hope that u think of me” by pity party (girls club): kuroo tetsuro
i hope that you dream of me baby / nightmares are what dreams are baby i-i-i / i think I'm fallin' out of love
you tell me that it's easy to be / you tell me that it's easy to be with me but you lie-i-i / why do you lie all the time?
kuroo is focused. he takes note of everything when he’s working on a task, down to dotting the ‘i’s and crossing the ‘t’s. he often finds himself with tunnel vision, unable to think of anything but the current responsibility at the top of his every-growing to-do list. somewhere along the way, he lost track of you—must’ve loosened his grip on your hand and your fingers fell through empty space. he’d look for you, back in the void, but he’s busy. he keeps moving, unaware that you’ve turned back, walking in the opposite direction as him to find the life before him that you barely remember.
↪ “the leanover” by life without buildings: hinata shoyo
kiss me, break my mind, close the door / black steel, break my mind, close the door
if i lose you in the street / i say, i say, i say, i say, i say, i say / wassup, wassup with you? / wassup with your friends?
hinata is unfazed. he knows that, when things go bad, there’ll always be something there to right them. so when your paths diverge—maybe your schedules don’t work out, your dates get canceled, your nights home become more and more sparse—he’s not worried. not one bit. because at the end of the night, he knows that you’ll always find your way back to one another, and you’ll always greet him with open arms. and he’ll always do the same.
↪ “ladyfingers - edit” by funding secured: kita shinsuke
instrumental so no lyrics lol
kita is polished. he works hard during the day to be with you at night, dancing in little circles in the small kitchen of your shared home. he looks at you with fondness and appreciation, thanking his stars a million times over for granting him with someone like you. he’s a tree, stable in the harshest of gales, but even trees like to sway with the wind sometimes.
↪ “black madonna” by cage the elephant: terushima yuuji
makes no difference here, so let's be real / black madonna, my black flower / nowhere left to run, nowhere left to hide / you're not havin' fun, i think that you should ride
climb so high, don't hear a sound / don't you forget what goes around, comes around / climb so high, tell me how to feel
call me when you're ready to be real / black madonna, my hallelujah
terushima is hedonistic. he’s never concerned himself with thoughts of the future, or of the past, or of anything, really. all he can think about is making each moment as willing to be lived as possible. you, on the other hand, are practical, too practical in his opinion, and he wants you to let loose, lighten up a little bit. maybe in the long run, it won’t be the best idea to let him take you by the hand and on a midnight adventure, but you haven’t thought that far ahead yet. guess he’s already rubbing off on you.
↪ “mother nature’s bitch” by okay kaya: iwaizumi hajime
everybody / please give a warm welcome to / to this current mood
here i am / easy to please / here i am / okay with it
here i am / desperate for attention / here i am / being mother nature's bitch
iwaizumi is hardworking. he does the best he can with everything he tries; sometimes that amounts to something and sometimes it doesn’t. most times it doesn’t fulfill his expectations, as high as they are. when you’re around, his borderline hatred for himself disappears. when you’re there to tell him how great he’s doing, the tension in his shoulders dissipates.
↪ “smithereens” by rasharn powell, ab001: miya osamu
found my power / and my brethren / in a tussle with the world itself
see if I’m david, you’re goliath / there’s some power in defiance / put my heart in a slingshot / we been cycling away for days
searching for freedom always / likeness of an orgasm been had / empty with a peace that just don’t last / petite mort, then born again
osamu is pioneering. he opened a small business and eventually branched out, managing chains of his restaurant across the nation. it may not be a flashy job, but it’s a solid one, and a draining one. there are days of back-to-back shifts, afternoons overwhelming catering orders, and nights spent sleeping over on a cot near the kitchen. when he dreams, curled up with the smell of onigri still lingering in the air, he can only think of ‘what if’ he’d chosen another path, a path with a more obvious end, a more obvious definition of glory. but he still wakes up at dawn, conquering his own corner of the sky, knowing that his life, while it may be small, is not insignificant.
↪ “must be” by lou phelps: kageyama tobio
must be the henny on the ice / must be the diamonds that I buy / might be the shit that I write / whatever a n**** do and say, that's what I like
i'm on the cloud as i walk the front door / that's a boost, that's true, that's loo
yeah, um, i'mma need my space / 'cause you's a bum-bum, can't be standing next to me, uh / forgive me for my sins / don't tell me this is wrong if it feels right
kageyama is cocky. he’s good at what he does, amazing, actually, and he sure as hell knows it. he’s surrounded by people that make him better, people that he makes better, and he can’t think of a place he’d rather be. he’s on his way to carve his way into the moon and he’s not going to tolerate anyone that wants to keep him on earth.
↪ “jealous” by eyedress: sakusa kiyoomi
you could have anyone you want / why would you want to be with me? / you know, I'm nothing special
don't tell me about your problems / if you're not trying to solve them / don't ask me for my help
sakusa is independent. he’s not one to see himself as part of someone else’s orbit, opting to act like a random rock, floating in space with no origin and no destination. he’s worried that, if he gets too close to you, he’ll end up getting drawn in by your gravity and either crash land or burn up. neither seems appealing, and the idea of a safe encounter hasn’t even crossed his mind, so he’s going to keep moving on an endless trek towards the stars.

Ninja Dorks Flailing at Interpersonal Relations Part Twenty-one AKA the Finale! Where I bring the series full-circle. :D
I left it pretty open-ended because the whole “plot” is Kakashi and Sakura being the cutest couple in town.
One more cute thing.
Every day.

Sensei
Ten Years Ago….
“Did you see her?”
“Yes,” said Tenzo as he adjusted Kakashi’s arm which was over his shoulder. “I think everyone saw her, sempai.”
“I need a woman like that. She was so strong. None of the cilivians can do that. Cilvians. Non-ninja.”
“Civilians,” Tenzo corrected as he half-carried Kakashi down the road. “I don’t know why you torment yourself with those relationships. You don’t have anything in common with them.”
“Mm… they don’t know me. I can’t disappoint them if they don’t know me.” Kakashi grimaced. “All I want is a woman that can crush twenty—no—fifty watermelons between her legs and doesn’t know me and lives in Konoha.”
Tenzo noticed that at some point, Kakashi had stopped trying to walk at all. Tenzo was carrying Kakashi’s full weight as the man’s feet drag along the street. “Does that woman even exist?”
“No. I’m too fucking famous,” Kakashi grunted as he extracted his arm from Yamato’s grip, stumbling over to the building to lean on it. “Fuck, I think I drank too much.”
“I would agree.” It was a rare occasion that Kakashi wore unless if it was the aftermath of a grueling battle. He watched Kakashi lean against the wall before giving up and sliding down to the floor. Tenzo joined him, placing his elbows on his knees as he waited for Kakashi to get a grip on herself. Finally, Tenzo couldn’t take the silence anymore. “You’re too hard on yourself, sempai.”
Kakashi made a miserable noise but didn’t say anything in reply. Tenzo didn’t bother asking either. He had known Kakashi long enough by this time to know there were certain anniversaries that involved heavy drinking. Kakashi didn’t share the reason and Tenzo didn’t ask.
That’s just how things were.
Four Years Ago…
Yamato nodded in thanks as the server brought another drink to his table. The restaurant was quickly becoming one of his favorite places to eat after a long mission. It was always busy and for good reason. The food was excellent, the service was prompt, and there was always a familiar face. Maybe he should move to an apartment on this side of town.
Yamato’s thoughts were interrupted by a giggle.
"Spill it, Forehead! What's the deal with Baldie?"
Yamato recognized the voice behind him, although he couldn't quite place it. He focused his chakra so he could hear the conversation better.
"Hound visited the other day when I was training with Tsunade-sama. He didn't get in the middle of our training; he just landed on the edge of training grounds. Out of nowhere, Tsunade-sama turns her attention away from me and throws a tree at him. He leaped into the air and used a lightning jutsu to destroy it."
Yamato smiled as he realized Sakura was talking about Kakashi. His former ANBU Captain had returned from Suna when everyone had written him off as dead. Yamato had met Kakashi outside of the Hokage's office before his mission a week ago. The only thing that had changed about Kakashi was his lack of hair; he had to shave it off in Suna so he wouldn’t be so recognizable.
"I've never seen such an intense spar before. It was so cool."
"That's crazy! Did Hound make Tsunade-sama mad?"
"No. I think she was testing his skill. Or maybe she wanted to teach me something."
"Well, did you learn anything?"
Yamato turned from his seat, deciding it would be an excellent time to make his presence known. He might not be able to share much about Kakashi or his identity, but she should at least know that Hound was as loyal as they come.
Sakura giggled. "I learned he has a cute butt."
Yamato's greeting died his throat.
Sakura turned red as she noticed Yamato. "Sensei? What? Did you hear?"
"I hope you have a nice day, Sakura-chan." Yamato threw some money on the table and left the restaurant, leaving his half-eaten meal behind. He was going to have to find a new restaurant to frequent.
Present day…
Iruka raised his arm as he gave a toast to Naruto and Hinata. Yamato raised his cup with the rest of the crowd. It was hard to believe that Naruto was married and that Yamato was able to aid to the young man’s growth.
"You must be very proud of him."
Yamato turned his head to see Kurenai standing at his shoulder. "I am. Thank you so much for your guidance. I don't think I would have been a proper jonin-sensei without your wisdom.” Kurenai laughed. "Everyone could see you were completely lost. It's the least I could do with a team like yours."
"And where’s Asuma?"
"He took Mirai home since it was past her bedtime; I think I'll stay out for another hour before joining them. We tried to find a babysitter, but everyone we trust with Mirai is here. Pretty soon our students are going to have children of their own.”
Yamato chuckled in his glass.
"Speaking of which..." Kurenai looked at a spot somewhere behind Yamato. He turned his head slightly to see Kakashi and Sakura standing side-by-side as they spoke to Hinata. "How did you manage to pull that off? Even if I recognized the potential between the two of them, I don't think I would ever have mentioned it. Kakashi always completely shut down any time I ever mentioned anyone he should date. Then he would spend weeks avoiding me."
Yamato cleared his throat and gave a nervous smile. "Ah, well, I guess the timing was right. He can't run away if he's Hokage."
Kurenai gave a sly smile. "I suppose your right. Good evening, Kakashi-sama."
"Kurenai, how many times have I told you that you don't have to call me that? Please, drop the ‘sama.’"
"I could, but it's more fun to see you squirm when I say it." Kurenai crossed her arms and raised her eyebrow. "Why aren’t you dancing? Do you think it's wise to let Neji have the honors?"
Kakashi snorted. "Don't worry. I'm certain if they get a little too cozy one of my Anbu guards will break them up."
Kurenai’s eyes widened. "You're joking. Please tell me you're joking and that you’re not using a team of highly-trained assassins to watch over your life."
"It's a long story." Kakashi gave Yamato a suspicious look. It took every ounce of Yamato's training to not react.
Did he know?
"Is there any chance that we'll be attending your wedding soon? The two of you look cute together."
Kakashi stern gaze melted away into embarrassment. "Ah... Ah... No. Not for a few years at least. Sakura has only left the village a handful of times and none of the experiences were pleasant. I’ve been on so many missions and they’ve taken me all over the world. I’ve shared a few stories and she’ll get this look on her face. Longing, maybe?” Kakashi hummed as he looked out into the crowd. Neji and Sakura were dancing the mambo.
“Sakura would probably say ‘yes’ if I asked her today. And then she would feel obligated to stay in the village. If she wants to go on a mission at that takes place during a dance competition, she should have the chance to do so without feeling guilty.”
Sakura and Neji gave a bow to their audience as the song ended. The crowd was parted enough that Yamato could see Kankuro drinking out of an enormous fruit cocktail.
“And what about you?” Kurenai inquired mildly. “You’re a mess. Are you sure you can handle it when your girlfriend’s away?”
Yamato laughed as Kakashi scowled in her direction. When given the opportunity to voice her thoughts, few were as ruthless as Kurenai.
“I’m not going anywhere. And I trust that Sakura will come back to me. She did the first time around, after all.”
Kurenai shook her head in disbelief. “Kakashi of the Sharingan is in love. I’d tell Asuma about this, but I don’t think he’ll believe me. I’m glad you’ve finally found some happiness, Kakashi.”
Yamato saw Sakura headed in their direction and cleared his throat. “It’s been nice catching up with the two of you, but I see someone I need to speak to.” He liked the idea of Kakashi and Sakura together in the abstract sense. However, witnessing any affection between the two of them with his own eyeballs always left Yamato feeling a little uncomfortable. It would probably take him a few years before he would be used to it.
He just knew them too well, he supposed.
Yamato headed off the far end of the celebration towards a large tree with a wide canopy. Kankuro was waiting there, leaning against the tree as juggled wedding favors.
“Did you bring it?” Yamato asked.
Kankuro stopped juggling and reached into his pocket. “Yeah. I took a look at the contents. It was definitely not what I was expecting.”
Yamato began to sweat. “I’m sorry, you had to witness that. We tried to make certain none of it left the village.”
“You’re lucky that it landed with Gaara and not with the Raikage. Gaara wants to preserve Kakashi’s reputation as much ask anyone.” He grimaced. “That’s really bad poetry.”
Yamato opened the scroll to look at the contents. Konoha already had a clean, unblemished copy in their archives. He burned the scroll, destroying the last evidence of their heartbroken Rokudaime.
“Thank you so much. Again, I’m sorry about. Next drink is on me to help you forget.”
Kankuro snorted. “Yeah, I think I’m going to need like five.” He held out his hand and waited as Yamato counted out the money. “Thanks.” He clapped Yamato on the shoulder as he returned to the party.
Yamato sighed as he took a look at his watch. Anko’s shift at gate duty had just finished ten minutes ago. Panther and Otter were dressed in civilian clothing and mingling with the rest of the party. If Kakashi and Sakura did anything else ridiculous, those two agents were more than qualified to handle the fallout.
Humming to himself, Yamato left the party and walked to Anko’s home.
Six months later…
Kakashi jolted as the office door slammed open. Turning from his chair, he noticed one of the hinges had shattered. “Sakura! How many doors are you planning on destroying?”
Sakura ignored the question, waving the ANBU mask in her hand. “I was looking in the closet for that scroll you mentioned earlier and I found this! Is this yours? Were you Hound?”
Kakashi stared at Sakura in confusion. “Yes. I thought you knew I was in ANBU.”
“Yes, but I didn’t know you were Hound! I thought Hound was bald!” Sakura huffed as she threw her hands in the air. “Dammit, Yamato-sensei!”
