Today’s side by side by side was beers with interesting flavors or adjuncts. First up was Melon Ball Double Juicy IPA from Saugatuck Brewing out of Saugatuck, MI. While containing no melon, this has amazing melon flavors, super smooth. I could easily see this becoming a go to summer sipper. Next up was Lemongrass Saison, an ale brewed with lemongrass from Martin City Brewing out of KCMO. This one was super smooth with a great lemongrass flavor & a mild finish. I could really see pairing this one with some Thai food. Lastly was Kumquat Weiss, a sour ale brewed with kumquats from Crane Brewing out of Raytown, MO. This one was sour start to finish. Really sour with a citrus flavor underneath. I’ve only had kumquats once in my life & I remember them being tart & citrusy. All in all I really liked all of these. If I wanted a drinking beer I’d go with the Melon Ball, but if I was in a sour mood definitely the Kumquat Weiss. For pairing with a meal the Lemongrass Saison.

Deerling the Season pokemon a normal and grass type
2ft
43lbs
Ability: Chlorophyll or Sap Sipper Hidden Ability: Serene Grace
Egg Group: Field
Highest Base Stat: Speed:75
Lowest Base Stat: Special Attack:40
Base Stat Total: 335
Spring Form: Deerling have different scents depending on the season. In early spring, these Pokemon give off a delicate, sweet, and calming scent. Despite Deerling's adorable appearance, farmers consider it a nuisance since it loves plant shoots and will eat them all up.
Summer Form: To prevent Deerling from entering their fields, many farmers will have several Lycanroc stand guard, as they are the natural enemy of Deerling. Deerling have different scents depending on the season. When a distinct grassy smell starts to waft from one, you know that summer has begun.
Winter Form: Deerling’s scent changes with the seasons, but when the Pokemon is in its Winter Form, it has hardly any scent at all. This Pokemon will playfully headbutt those it gets along well with. It has antlers hidden under its flower, so the headbutts are a little painful.
Autumn Form: These Pokemon are not shy—they will behave as they please, even in front of people. If you feed one of them, it will quickly take a liking to you. Deerling have different scents depending on the season. In this form, Deerling have a softly sweet scent that lingers in the nose.
At level 34 it evolves into Sawsbuck the Season pokemon a normal and grass type
6ft 3inc
203.9lbs
Ability: Chlorophyll or Sap Sipper Hidden Ability: Serene Grace
Hidden Ability: Field
Highest Base Stat: Attack:100
Lowest Base Stat: Special Attack:60
Base Stat Total: 475
Spring Form: It seems that a Sawsbuck with many flowers on its antlers will grow at a slightly slower pace because the flowers absorb the Pokemon’s nutrients. There are many Sawsbuck enthusiasts. The paler the pink flowers that bloom on its antlers, the more beautiful the Sawsbuck is considered to be.
Summer Form: There are many Sawsbuck enthusiasts. The thicker and larger the branches and leaves on its antlers, the more majestic the Sawsbuck is thought to be. This Pokemon's leaves can be made into a black tea, the taste of which varies depending on the region of origin. Paldea's is especially aromatic.
Autumn Form: There are many Sawsbuck enthusiasts. The darker the red of the foliage that hangs from its antlers, the more stylish the Sawsbuck is thought to be. Sawsbuck in their Autumn Form are known for having very short tempers. The males fight each other incessantly.
Winter Form: It’s said that Sawsbuck are calm and easy to tame during the season when they take on this form, so it’s the perfect time to make one your partner. Though there are many enthusiasts for Sawsbuck as a species, this seasonal form in particular is not very popular.

Alesong Brewing and Blending announce their Summer 2024 releases.
https://bit.ly/4cmYosh image courtesy Alesong Brewing and Blending Press Release Alesong is pleased to announce the debut of four new blends for its Summer release the weekend of August 15-18 at their wine country tasting room and to retailers across the Pacific Northwest. This release features four brand new beers for the season: Gose Añejo probably doesn’t really need an intro at this point for the fourth vintage release, but it’s Alesong’s refreshing and summery, margarita-inspired beer aged in tequila barrels with lime, orange, and agave… Take a trip to the playa with us through beer! Another returning cocktail-inspired favorite, Old Fashioned is a blend of bourbon-barrel-aged strong ales that is rich in notes of vanilla, caramel, and bourbon, finished on a dash of orange peel for the citrus garnish you’d expect. Member Exclusive bottle! Showstopper ‘24 is part of our now ongoing collaboration series with Eugene’s Hult Center for the Performing Arts. This year’s is a rich imperial stout aged in whiskey barrels with cocoa and vanilla for a perfect theater sipper! Look for it at the Hult center all season long. And for the final beer in our release, Alesong is thrilled to unveil a totally new concept that in collaboration with their friends at Deschutes Brewery - Vin to the Abyss is a barrel aged imperial milk stout with Merlot grapes for a decadent blending of our two favorite beverages! Alesong will host a release party exclusively for Blender’s Circle members at their country brewery the weekend of August 15-18, featuring small bite food pairings to accompany each new beer and will have all of the beers available on draft and in bottles for non-members the following weekend alongside their normal kitchen menu. Gose Añejo and Vin to the Abyss will be available at better retailers throughout the Pacific Northwest beginning the week of the brewery release. For more information on membership and how to participate in the release events, visit www.alesongbrewing.com/join. More information on each of the new beers can be found at www.alesongbrewing.com/beers. ABOUT ALESONG BREWING AND BLENDING: Alesong Brewing and Blending is an award-winning artisan brewery, winery, and cidery based in the heart of Southern Willamette Valley wine country outside Eugene, Oregon. With 100% of production spending time in oak, Alesong crafts unique and small-batch blends, producing styles that span the flavor spectrum. As the beer, wine, or cider in barrels matures, the team samples and selects each barrel individually to create a final blend. Paying homage to old-world Lambic blenders and artisan winemakers, Alesong strives to achieve complex and balanced final blends that are much more interesting and complete than the sum of their parts or any individual barrel by itself.
