in general i love 'play' era a lot, even if kyuhyun wasn't there i like to pretend he was really there hahaha. he is in some of the songs i think, but yeah. i love the album, the concept, the mv, everything is perfect and i'd give anything for ot9 suju to be on the album, or ot11 because i know there was a chance for kangin and sungmin to be included 🥺

fun fact: 'play' was the first album i heard completely because it caught my attention before 'timeless' which was the era i met them lol

i don't know if i had a first bias tbh, i consider kyuhyun to be my first bias. the first member who caught my attention was leeteuk and then siwon so maybe i was more on their side until i fell for kyu. :)

hi ! this is a genuine question, i love ur blog and i wanted ur opinion on this (it's hard to convey tone on the internet ;_;). i was wondering why mamamoo are always considered "the racist group", even tho most popular groups have done problematic and downright racist things in the past ? like i totally understand not being able to forgive and forget and that's an individual choice to make - but following that logic, shouldnt exo/nct/red velvet and other popular groups also be unforgiveable for their various actions (the dreadlocks, the whole nct make a wish mv, wendy being antiblack etc) ? i feel like there is so much racism and specifically antiblackness happening in so many groups (especially their companies tbh but you know) that either you stop listening to half of them or recognize that they're all going to make mistakes and they can hopefully learn and grow from them. but maybe im missing something completely ?? sorry for the long message, thanks in advance, u always give good explanations 👌

i dropped them a while ago and also haven't rly been in kpop fan spaces until last year so i have limited info but here's my answer:

-mamamoo is the only group to have become one of the top girl groups directly after doing their most racist shit like they were making amazing jazzy songs that didn't flop but being racist and then switching to hip hop catapulted them to the top

-hwasa especially has absolutely no shame and does huge acts of ca on a regular basis like her african looking outfit on i live alone and a pocahontas costume for halloween like a month later and then maria with the durags around that time too it's a promotional tactic that works

-anon there's degrees to this shit i think no one else relevant besides certain suju members have done straight up blackface. and wasn't it a bruno mars cover? he's not even black?

-make a wish was actually fairly mild? i think? correct me if i'm wrong

-kai is complicated cuz he's more rural korean and has naturally darker skin and he has antiblackness projected into him that he's perpetuating like i still dislike him for it but he was already wildly popular it's not the same as purposefully becoming racist skyrocketing ur career

-i don't claim wendy and no one else has done anything besides joy but that ones complicated too cuz it's that she chose to work with the wrong ppl on jeju island but anyway bong joon ho was right

the entire kpop industry is exactly as racist as the entire US pop industry and every other pop industry it rly does get hard to establish lines and boundaries about racism because antiblackness is inherent to modern society/life and when u try to trace it back it never ends but ALSO there's degrees to this shit and mamamoo r among the worst. so r bts.

Hanryang has a strong lyrics and seeing that reminded me of what a tough year 2020 was for him and Petals! We didn’t get to see him for a long time and had to hear the nastiest things from other fandoms (I actually lost a friend bc we fought so much bc of that oof). I clearly remember the live when he went to the police station and I was SO proud of him! He’s so strong and didn’t let the haters get to him. Over the year I learned so much about how to deal with haters - from himself. And I’m so grateful for that bc I clearly live a more peaceful life now and don’t get frustrated anymore!

DINDIN IS DINDIN!!!! This so is sooo my jam and I lost it when he came in and performed it T.T (my friends had to tell me to stop singing with him hahha!)

Suddenly a black screen!!!! AND THEN ATEEZ SHOWED UP! Their performances were so cool T.T Afterwards Kyungchul cared so much for them - MY HEART. The way they adopted Ateez - Elfs found new friends in Atinys who made this possible. With their streaming this was only possible and I am so so thankful for them!

The Hanryang Stage was just everything! Ateez were soooooo hyped and happy to be there!!!! Kyunghoon was so so comfortable (usually he can be quite awkward), Bibi was being the queen we deserved and Dindin was so cool T.T

Heechul tho.. as a petal I couldn’t stop smiling. This felt so good and so right! Seeing him happy singing and rapping - smth we didn’t get to see last year to this extent! Also he said he remembered loads of things from when he wrote raps and rapped for Suju and was once again reminded how much he likes making music (Sir, we’re waiting for that Flower Petal album hihihi).

Esp for me who’s not initally sold on ballads this was even more a win for me and I’d be lying if Heechul’s deep voice doesn’t send shivers down my spine!

Seeing him being a natural and effortless MC, making sure everyone is comfortable and looking THIS good - this felt like heaven. Maybe I am so overwhelmed bc I witnessed friends seeing concerts and their ults last year while I couldn’t - so now I KNEW this was even more special and the closest and most center Heechul I’d ever get. It truly felt like more than a livestream bc of all the surroundings!

It was made even better bc in contrary to a year ago I wasn’t alone! Our squad today was quite fun tho:

He was struggling a lot but WOW the way he improved SO much and made smth so so beautiful??? My mind is blown! I can’t even comprehend what a win this is for Rockins’!!!! You guys rock and Buzz ist truly a great band T.T

So in the end it was THAT experience for me I’d never thought I’d get. I even had my Suju bong with Chullie’s name on it! When I got it and put his name on it I was so sad bc I’d never though I could wave it to him singing his own song. That changed now and I can’t believe I was THAT lucky T.T 

Thanks to everyone involved and everyone who helped to make this possible! I think we’re over 5 fandoms who got together through this and I am once again reminded how great Kpop can be - sharing the loves for our favs!

I somehow started watching a stage compilation of ZE:A from their debut to their finale and I have two thoughts:

1) deadass I didn't know that Minmin from Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon was in the group I am shook esp when he has the suju don't don era hair while wearing the argyle sweater vest

2) did they really have kwanghee in the group just to look pretty bc he doesn't seem to have a lot of lines aside from the chorus but they keep zooming in on him

i got into kpop pretty late

this is the story (you probably don’t care) of how I got into kpop. 

i got into kpop in mid-end 2016 and IM FROM ASIA (south east asia, specifically). majority of my friends got into kpop in primary school (aka ages 7-12) but more so when we were 10-12 years old and could actually use the computer LOL. others got into kpop in secondary school (ages 13-16), but mostly 13-14. 

and then.. there was me.. being surrounded by everyone who loooooved kpop but not being influenced! one! bit! (I was really into western tv shows at that time and liked music such as Taylor swift //I also don't really listen to much music soooo// haha)

anyways, when I was 18 (2016) many of my friends were over the whole “Korean phase” or those who enjoyed it weren’t huuuuge fans. fans, sure, but they’re not crazy huge I guess?? at least they weren't brining it up every time I met them???? 

but I first got into the whole “Korean phase” because a friend asked me if I watched Kdramas, and in 2016, I watched 0 kdramas in my life?? which surprised most of my friends cos most people would have at least watched the really popular ones like boys over flowers?? or idk there were many popular ones back in 2012ish????? 

I said no, and my friend asked me to watch Return of Superman (the variety, don't ask how dramas could turn into variety programmes, idk too). I tried. I really did. but I didn't know that you could watch it at any episode - so being the blur child I was, I watched the very first episode. I didn't make it through the episode because i didn't know who the dads were? had no connection with the babies and all. so I gave up LEL. 

anyways, I recounted this story to a friend who I knew wasn't a big kpop/kdrama/kvariety person. well, she used to be (back in 2012). she told me I didn't have to start from ep1 (phew). but I didn't start watching TROS until.. a few days/weeks later when a friend of mine shared a video on Facebook (from KBS, one of their TROS clips). since it was probably a few minutes long, I decided to give it a try.. because why not.. right? TURNS OUT I FELL IN LOVE WITH LEE SEOJUN. the baby was so cute I loved him from that chicken episode. 

so that’s how I got into Korean variety. from there, I watched more of the lee twins and eventually became a fan of the whole show in general. and in 1 particular episode, chanyeol and baekhyun visited the twins. AND I DECIDED TO CHECK OUT EXO AFTER THAT SOJDFJ. yeah. actually, I remember posting on my insta spam something along the lines of the 2 boys and my friends were like???? aren't they from exo???? and I was like “oh yea wtv that group is” ((ok no lie i remember knowing exo’s existence even though I wasn't a kpop fan because of how insanely popular they were. I also rmb girls generation (snsd), bigbang, 2ne1, b2st & suju. 

but yup, checked out exo stuff (I think monster was just released) and fell in love with sehun LOL. so my first bias was chanyeol and baekhyun but I ditched both of them for sehun HAHAHAHHAHA. I remember enjoying their happy camp interviews the most (partially bc it is in Chinese so I don't rly need subs LOL and also because it was just so hilarious I loved the whole show in general)

ok but besides TROS and exo, other Korean stuff I got into slowly was running man (exo was on there as guests) so I decided to watch more running man after that. OH YES. EVERYONE. AND I LITERALLY MEANE EVERYONE. watched running man. but somehow I DIDNT BACK IN THE DAYS???????? so whenever there were giraffes, everyone would go “Kwangsoo!” guess who's the idiot who didn't understand the joke??? ME. HAHAHA. 

and after running man, I got into 2days1night because my friend kept raving about it (she really loves 2d1n). didn't really get into it until she introduced me an episode with shinee Minho. LOVED THAT EPISODE. I remember not fully getting into it, but it kickstarted my love for 2d1n. re-watched that episode a few weeks/months down because of park hyungsik (I think he acted in strong woman do bong soon at that time) and still didn't get into it. and I re-watched it again because of park seojoon (fight for my way) and sort of loved it??? but I knew I was in too deep when I discovered Yoon donggu (just 1 of the main cast of 2d1n) and re-watched that episode again for him & many of their other episodes (aka every single one that donggu was around and some preceding donggu). 

ok but as for dramas, I got into it first by trying to watch DOTS. didn't really enjoy it even though the whole country fell in love with DOTS. I was meh about it (probably because it was my first drama, so I couldn't understand the ending // kdramas just have mediocre endings imo// but knowing this now, I'm sure if I were to watch it again, id say that DOTS is good). told my friend (the first one who asked me if I ever watched kdramas //before this, I only watched PLL, flash, arrow, yeaaaah those shows// ) I didn't enjoy DOTS, and my friend recommended me school2015. thought it was pretty good, and asked for more. BUT 1 DRAMA I LOVED FROM THE RECS WAS PINOCCHIO!! and I fell in love with lee jongsuk!!!!!!! and yup, kind of a downward spiral from there LOL.

Ako na lang ba ang hindi nakakapag-blog about Super Show 9 Manila? Char! 

Allow me to share my experience from preps, to the day of supposed-to-be-concert. 

PREPARATIONS

Yung feeling na…

·         May Super Show na ulit sa Pilipinas. May time pa para mag-ipon pambili ng ticket.

·         Nakabili ako ng ticket para sa Super Show 9. Nagkataong may sahod na.

·         Nagbura ako ng malalaking files sa cellphone para ready  na akong i-capture at i-record ang moments ko with SJ for the first time.

·         Nakabili na ako ng SUJU bong (light stick) kahit version 1 lang, at least meron para sa SS.

·         Planado na kung paano pumunta, at sinong maghahatid-sundo sa akin.

·         Masusuot ko na sa wakas yung hoodie na ni-regalo sa akin ng dating office mate ko.

 A WEEK BEFORE SUPER SHOW 9 IN MANILA

Nagsimula na akong mag-countdown sa stories ko. Nangingibabaw ang excitement habang naghihintay ng August 6 2022.

Yun nga lang… Nakisabay ang sunud-sunod na pag-ulan that week. At sunud-sunod na hindi magagandang balita ang in-announce ng Label SJ at PULP Live World – ang official organizer ng SS9.

·         For the 2nd time, nag-positive sa COVID 19 ang bias ko – si Siwon. Kaya hindi siya makakasama. Need niya mag-isolate ASAP at magpagaling.

·         Sa hindi malamang dahilan, nagising ako around 2 AM. So heto na nga… Madaling araw ng 06 Aug 2022, in-announce ng Label SJ ang biglaang pagpanaw ng ama ni Eunhyuk (which is hanggang ngayon, hindi pa natin alam ang totoong dahilan) – dahilan kung bakit hindi siya nakasama sa flight noong Friday night. Sunud-sunod na yung comments regarding this sad news. As in hindi ako makatulog ulit kasi busy ako kakabasa ng comments sa Twitter, Facebook, Instagram hanggang 4 AM guys! Partida may duty pa ako ng 7 AM that day.

Post ko na lang yung exact details from Label SJ at PULP dito.

D – DAY of SUPER SHOW 9 in Manila

Hindi naging madali ang desisyon ng Label SJ at PULP na i-postpone ang concert. Well, I’ll post the official announcement here.

Pagpasok ko pa lang sa MoA Arena ay naririnig ko ang ballad songs ng SJ bago magsimula ang Meet & Greet - Ito lang ang mga naaalala ko so far - “One More Chance”, “So I”, “Somebody New”, “The Melody”, “Dorothy”, “Memories”, at marami pang B-side tracks.

Meet and Greet happened. Si Ms. Kring Kim ang host – trying to lighten up the mood sa kabila ng mga unexpected sad news – na hindi natin or wala namang ginustong mangyari yon. Ah basta! Gets nyo na yung ibig kong sabihin.

That night, SJ and PH ELFs made history. Mixed emotions. As I’ve said sa post ko sa IG, nagpunta ako sa MoA Arena not just to witness SJ for the first time. Nagpunta ako para damayan ang ELFs, at members na present that night – Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Donghae, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun. Pinakinggan naming sila, at paulit-ulit ulit na humihingi ng sorry. “Gwaenchana!” (It’s okay!) Cheer namin sa kanila because the members were so emotional too.

Mahahalata rin ang kanilang pagiging emotional habang hinaharana kami – yes. Three ballad songs!

REPLY 1997 - the first of the reply series and SO GOOD!!! the idols in this show are eunji (apink), hoya (infinite), and seo in guk. amazing writing and acting and a really wholesome story overall

side note on seo in guk: tho i would really consider him an actor more than an idol now, it was his first big drama and he could be considered an idol.. side note, all his dramas are PHENOMENAL

GOBLIN - obv im biased because yook sungjae owns my Entire Heart And a Half!!!!! but goblin was obv a phenomenon and a pretty good drama, i personally (and most ppl would prob agree) found the romance between the 2 leads pretty wrong but everything else about the show was really awesome and worth watching for

SCHOOL 2017 - the only one of the school series ive watched and sejeong (ioi) is SOOO precious. also guest stars rowoon from sf9! i really loved the writing and casting of this drama, it’s wonderful.

before someone @s me for not having seen school 2015 because it has m’love sungjae (feel free to watch that too!!), i personally can’t bear the heartbreak of him being second lead, so i dont think i’ll ever bring myself to watching it lol. i know it’s one of the worst cases of SLS people get in dramas so no thank you :((

WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING - just ended! stars suzy who tbh is normally not great, but she was actually so good in this, and i loved the plot, acting, and characters of this show. first time i actually had second lead syndrome and also liked the main lead, all 3 of their friendship is so wholesome! possible my fave show of 2018 so far

SHE WAS PRETTY - ok so the idol here is siwon (suju) who plays the second lead, and almost everyone i talk to loves his character and hates the main lead, but to be super honest i was WHIPPED for the main lead and couldn’t stand siwon’s character lmao. that being said i realllly love this show! 

AGE OF YOUTH SEASON 2 - there’s some guest starring from pentagon as a failing idol group which made me reallllly emo, they dont have a huge role so this answer is cheating but i love this show lol

disclaimer, obv watch age of youth season 1 first since they are continuous. both of these are SUCH amazing shows. they’re very non-typical kdramas

Wow wow wow!! Super Show 7 (+S)

Super Show 7 di Seoul 😂

Sebenernya mau cerita soal Super Show 7S bulan lalu di ICE, BSD. Tapi yaudahlah sekalian aja cerita dari awal.

Jadi, menjelang akhir tahun 2017 kan ada Super Show 7 tuh. Tadinya dibuka Sabtu-Minggu, tapi ternyata pemirsa membludak, akhirnya ditambahin sehari di Jumat. Gue tadinya ragu mau nonton atau enggak, abisnya Kyuhyun baru masuk public service dan Ryeowook juga masih wamil. Gue kan nonton Suju karena pengen dengerin nyanyinya (yah sama ngintip abs-nya Donghae dikit lah, ngintip banyak kalo dia memang stripping baju secara sukarela hoho), dan dengan main vocalnya Yesung doang, gue males. Bukan Suju suaranya jelek sih, tapi di luar KRY ya biasa aja menurut gue.

Booking tiketnya waktu itu pas gue lagi business trip ke Jeju. Gue bela-belain bawa Thomas (yang ujung-ujungnya gue kesel karena LCD-nya rusak. Mungkin ga sengaja kebanting atau ketendang pas di pesawat, wallahu ‘alam, gue sih ga ngerasa ngebanting walaupun secara ga sengaja). Gue gambling, dalam hati gue pokoknya ga harus dapet tiket. Gue tau lah se-barbar apa ELF Korea, pengalaman dari 2012. Anjir itu 7 tahun lalu ya, astaga. Yah pokoknya ketika itu gue mikirnya dapet tiket syukur, enggak yaudah.

Gue akhirnya minta jasa 대리 티켓팅 (semacam calo yang bisa bantuin ngantri tiket) karena pas jam booking, gue masih ada welcome reception dan harus nemenin tamunya Prof. Si mbak tiket ini minta pake akun gue. Pokoknya kalo dapet tiket, gue bayar jasanya. Kalo ga dapet, ya gue ga ngutang apa-apa. Ternyata, dia ga bisa login pake akun gue, gatau kenapa. Padahal gue pernah beli buku dan CD di Interpark juga dan ga ada masalah. Tapi kalo portal tiket biasanya rada beda sih sistemnya. Si mbaknya nyoba pake akun dia sendiri tapi ga dapet juga, tiketnya sold out. Pas gue buka twitter sih emang ternyata emang habis kejual dalam waktu ga sampe 10 menit. 엘프 대박! Warbyasah, barbarians! Yaudah, terima nasib lah.

Eh tapi tapi......... tiba-tiba gue galau. Kok jadi kepengen nonton ya. Akhirnya malam itu gue begadang nyari orang jual tiket di twitter. Si labil emang hahaha. Ngubek-ngubek, dapet lah ada orang mau jual. Sama dia dimahalin 20 ribu won kalo ga salah. Entah gue kesambet apa (mungkin ga pake bismillah pas nyari), gue samber aja tu. Padahal itu tempatnya di ataaaaaas. Gue emang nyarinya yang duduk. Gue udah ragu, apa cari yang lain, tapi gue nutup mata aja, tau-tau deal. Padahal kalo gue sabar, gue bisa aja nungguin orang-orang yang batal beli. Apa sih sebutannya? Lupa gue. Pokoknya kan dikasih waktu 24 jam buat bayar. Kalo ga bayar, booking-an dianggap hangus. Beberapa hari kemudian, dibuka lagi ticket sales tapi yang sisaan. Nah biasanya banyak tuh orang-orang yang ngincer “booking tahap kedua” ini. Gue ga sabar, ah udahlah samber aja yang di depan muka. Udahnya rada nyesel sih karena jauh banget dari panggung huhu. Yah masih keliatan jelas sih semuanya, tapi kurang hore gitu. Eksistensi gue seakan tidak diakui. Padahal di pojokan bawah masih banyak bangku kosong, mungkin emang sengaja kali ya.

Gue tutup mata lah akhirnya, udah terlanjur kebeli juga. Trus tiketnya lama nyampenya, ketar-ketir gue takut ketipu. Tapi akhirnya nyampe juga. Ibu-ibu kurirnya dateng ke lab pas gue lagi di luar. Karena lab kosong, dia balik lagi. Tapi akhirnya janjian sih, dia balik lagi ke lab setelah gue nyampe. Baik banget ibunya~ Kurir Interpark Ticket emang oke sih servisnya. Beberapa kali beli tiket pertunjukan, yang nganter baik-baik semua.

Pergi lah gue ke ibukota. Beneran murni buat nonton Sushow. Dateng aja mepet. Begitu nyampe, langsung beli lightstick. Nah, itu pas official lightstick alias Suju bong pertama kali dijual umum. Trus gue salah bawa batere. Niatnya pengen hemat, bawa batere dari lab (itu batere emang gue beli pake duit sendiri buat lab, bukan nyolong ya), tapi gue salah baca. Harusnya batere AAA, gue bawanya AA. Pas beli suju bong, mbaknya nanya mau sekalian beli batere apa enggak, gue dengan pedenya bilang enggak. Taunya kagak masuk kan. Akhirnya ngantri lagi gue beli batere doang. Hhhhhhhhh.

Abis ngetes Suju bong (tadinya bahkan gue ga ngerti nyalainnya gimana, sampe nanya satpam, ampun deh norak), ada booth buat aktivasi lightstick. Jadi barcode di tiket gue di-scan, trus NFC lightsticknya juga diaktifin ke scannernya. Gue tadinya gatau buat apaan, ya ikut-ikutan aja lah.

Taunyaaaaaaa, itu buat ngontrol nyala lightsticknya! Jadi pas konser itu si suju bong warnanya ga biru doang, tapi bisa ijo, merah, kuning, bahkan pink. Pas lagu Too Many Beautiful Girls, tjakep banget sumpah! Depan gue pake lightstick biasa, jadi rada gatel mata gue ngeliat yang ga sama gitu huh. Sebenernya di lagu lain juga nyalanya beda, tergantung lagu dan kadang-kadang tiap section warnanya dibedain. Gue baru nyadar itu setelah konser berjalan selama hampir sejam. Kemane ajeeeeeeee.

Dan Ryeowook dateng! Kyuhyun baru dateng pas show besoknya. Gue dateng pas Sabtu, Kyuhyun Minggu. Gue tuh tadinya sempet mau nonton show yang Minggu juga. Bodo amatlah cabut sehari dari lab. Alhamdulillah masih eling, akhirnya ga jadi beli. Tapi tetep aja sebelum pulang gue sempet balik lagi ke Jamsil (padahal itu jauh ya!) demi beli merchandise tapi ga dapet juga. Iyalah, gue ke sana juga udah siang. Biasa winter, bangun siang.

Naaaah bulan lalu Suju ngadain Super Show 7S di ICE, BSD. Kyuhyun kan udah selesai public service, gue pikir dia bakal ke sini dong. Wah semangat banget gue beli tiket. Gue bela-belain beli tiket standing. Selama gue beberapa kali nonton di Indonesia, gue selalu seating karena menurut gue cewek Indo lebih barbar daripada Hangugin atau bahkan yang dari Cina sekalipun. Iye, yang dari Cina ini emang ga santay banget, nyebelin maunya sodok-sodok trus banner-nya segede gaban, ngalangin pemandangan. Tapi akhirnya gue memutuskan nyoba standing bareng 2 temen gue lainnya.

Gue tau mungkin ga ada yang baca post gue, atau kalopun ada yang baca juga ga sesuju. Tapi nih ya, pesen buat organizer konser K-Pop manapun. Tolong deh, bikin nomor antrian! Plis!

Serius, buat gue ini krusial. Lo bisa menghemat banyak sekali waktu buat ngantri. Selama di Korea, gue selalu nonton standing, kecuali SS7. Pertama kali nonton, gue gatau apa-apa jadi gue jam 7 pagi udah ada di venue konser. Gue naik subway pertama dari Seoul station (dulu masih bisa naik kereta tengah malem dari Gyeongsan ke Seoul), langsung ke Olympic Gymnastics Arena. Taunya kosong melompong. Stafnya aja belom pada keluar. Pun ada yang udah ngantri, pake tenda, itu ternyata ngantri buat beli tiket sisa dan merchandise. Gue begitu ngeliat price listnya langsung mundur teratur, ga quwat. Jadilah gue luntang-lantung seharian, capeknya ga jelas. Begitu nonton berikutnya, udah pinteran, gue dateng mepet.

Kalo pake nomor antrian, bisa dateng agak sore (secara kalo konser kan biasanya abis magrib yah). Pagi dan siangnya bisa dipake buat ngantri merchandise, buat MAKAN. Iye, gue gedein tuh, karena kalo event gitu orang biasanya lupa makan. Trus kalo di tengah antrian tanpa nomor gitu, kalo rame-rame sih bisa gantian, lah kalo sendiri?

Beda cerita sih, kalo di Indonesia kan kesempatan juga buat para tenant jual makanan. Sakit hati aku tu beli hotdog yang sosisnya ga mateng sempurna seharga 50 ribu. Baru 2 jam udah laper lagi. Beli paket McD harga segitu udah pake nasi/kentang sama minum. Kenyangnya 3 hari. Hehe ga deng~ Ya seenggaknya lebih lama lah.

Udah gitu security-nya aneh kalo di Indonesia. Begitu mau masuk hall, tasnya diubek-ubek, literally dikeluarin semua isinya, ga boleh bawa makanan atau minuman, harus lewatin metal detector, dan masih juga digrepein. Tapi begitu masuk venue, konser mulai, HP ngangkat semua dibiarin.

Nih ya, gue si anak norak mau kasih tau barangkali promotor atau organizer konser K-Pop di Indonesia ga pernah survey langsung di negara asalnya.

Tas diperiksa, oke wajar. Dikhawatirkan bawa benda berbahaya, atau selfie stick, atau kamera pro, atau barang-barang yang memang tidak diperkenankan. Tapi gausah dikeluarin semua isinya juga, tong! Barangnya berceceran sementara di belakang orang pada ga sabar ngantri. Pas SS7S kemarin, dibatasi cuma boleh bawa tas kecil non-backpack, maksimum seukuran A4, dan cuma boleh bawa satu tas. Udah sebegitunya tapi masih aja dibongkar semua. Seinget gue, mungkin ingatan gue keliru, di Korea masih boleh bawa backpack. Tapi sebenernya itu kenyamanan pribadi aja sih. Berhubung gue beberapa kali standing, gue pasti nitip tas karena ga mungkin kan jejingkrakan sambil ngegembol tas gede. Pas SS7, karena seating, backpack gue bawa masuk (ga dititipin), isinya penuh termasuk air mineral 3 botol sama burger dan kentang Lotteria.

Ga boleh bawa makanan dan minuman. Ya mungkin gue ilegal sih bawa makanan dan minuman. Kalo minum sih masih boleh bawa tapi waktu itu ada ketentuannya, gue lupa apa. Tapi boleh bawa kok. Kalo yang standing, 1 jam sebelum konser, penontonnya udah digiring masuk ke pit. Nunggu sejam, berdiri, trus konser 3.5 jam (IYA, di Korea selama itu konsernya. SS7S Indo 3 jam aja ga nyampe. Di Korea encore-nya bisa 3x sampe gue bete sendiri konsernya ga selesai-selesai), trus kagak boleh minum. Itu mau bunuh anak orang pelan-pelan? Gue abis SS7S kemaren, langsung mau pingsan secara harafiah. Kepala gue muter, jalan gue oleng, kalo gue nutup mata, udah jatoh lah gue.

Kondisinya adalah begini. Gue bertiga sama temen gue jam 5 pagi udah ke venue. Matahari belom nongol cui. Waktu itu kami nginep di hotel deket situ karena mau ngantri dari pagi. Sampe sana, kalo belom punya gelang (iya semuanya digelangin, beda warna tergantung section) ga boleh ngantri duluan. Karena kami belom nuker tiket (IYA, penukaran tiket pas hari kerja, di jam kerja, dan di ICE pula! Tiket.com ga punya kantor perwakilan kayaknya), jadi kami harus ngantri buat nuker tiket dulu, baru dibuka jam 9 pagi, abis itu baru bisa ngantri buat masuk ke dalam hall. Wassalam, pagi gue udah buruk.

Dan ada hal yang bikin gue gemes banget pengen maki-maki panitianya. Janjinya kan jam 9 pagi bisa nuker tiket. Kalo bilangnya jam 9 pagi penukaran, jam 09.00 pintu dibuka, orang masuk buat nuker. Logikanya begitu kan? Tapi apa yang terjadi? Jam 9 pagi stafnya baru NYARI KUNCI. Kemana aja dari subuh, anjir? Duh gue emosi jiwa banget karena illfeel abis sama organizernya. Tapi di sisi lain butuh belaian oppa, jadi ya udahlah hanya bisa protes dan mengumpat. Sementara, jam 10 itu pintu masuk ke dalam hall udah dibuka. Yang standing udah pada ngantri dari pagi dan itu cepet-cepetan masuk karena GA ADA nomor antrian. Emang si anjir ini, udah bukan kali pertama ngadain Sushow, kagak belajar dari pengalaman juga. Dipake otaknya dikit ngapa si. Orang pinter dijatohin, orang bego malah dinaikin. Indonesia emang gitu.

Jadilah hampir jam 10 baru bisa nuker tiket. Gue sama satu temen gue akhirnya nyelip buat ngantri duluan. Antriannya udah sampe luar pagar karena hari makin siang. Berhubung yang antrian luar pagar ga diperiksa gelangnya, gue sama temen gue ngantri dengan aman. Temen gue yang satu lagi masih berjuang nuker tiket.

Pemeriksaan masuk ke dalam hall ini lumayan makan waktu karena diperiksain satu-satu, tasnya dengan teliti dibongkarin, untung ga pake grepe-grepe kali ini. Di bandara kerudung gue dipegang-pegang aja risih, ini lagi dada dan selangkangan gue dipegang-pegang. Ngerti sih gue, banyak kekhawatiran takutnya ada yang nyelundupin bom atau barang berbahaya lainnya, apalagi di tempat super rame gitu. Baguslah di ICE udah dipasang metal detector jadi bodi gue aman ga dijamah orang asing.

Soal HP. Ini ya, gue BENCI banget. Gue di Korea, stafnya ngeliat kita pegang HP aja udah dipepet. Seating sekalipun. Konser bahkan belum mulai. Dia tau kita buka aplikasi kamera, langsung ditegur. Di standing pit, lo mau di pinggir, mau di tengah, mau di ujung berung, begitu stafnya ngeh lo moto atau ngerekam video, lo disamperin dan dia ga peduli sekalipun konser sedang berjalan, lo dikelilingi orang yang pada jejingkrakan, lo disamperin dan digeret keluar, disuruh hapus depan mata dia langsung. Jelas gue manfaatkan dengan keluarnya orang di depan gue buat gue nyelip-nyelip ke depan sampe akhirnya pernah jarak gue sama Heechul cuma 3 meteran. Se-gorgeous itu huhuhu. Gue ga bohong, gue udah lihat kejadian orang ditarik keluar ini beberapa kali di depan mata gue. Bahkan gue (hampir) ngalamin sendiri. Pas konser udah selesai, gue pengen selfie dengan latar belakang panggung. Konser udah selesai ya, Sujunya udah di mobil keknya. Emang kondisi masih rame di pit. Banyak yang curi-curi selfie dan gue si wegugin norak ini mau mengabadikan momen “ini lho gue nonton Suju dan gue dapet di deket panggung”. Gue selfie sekali dan tau-tau disamperin staf aja gitu, dibilangin jangan foto dan disuruh hapus. Gue langsung kabur aja, yang penting udah dapet bukti sejarah sebiji dan toh konser juga udah selesai jadi ya gue cepet-cepet ajalah biar ga kemaleman. Si oppadeul itu kalo konser emang lama banget, terlama pokoknya bikin gue ketinggalan kereta ga bisa balik ke Gyeongsan padahal besok paginya gue tes TOEIC. Gue inget banget itu pas SMTOWN Week dan akhirnya gue naik bis tengah malem sampe Dongdaegu (yang mana gue hampir ga tidur karena takut kelewat) trus gue naik taksi yang pake argo tembak (ga tidur juga di taksi karena takut diculik, jalannya sepi banget hampir ga ketemu mobil lain. Iyalah jam 4 pagi), nyampe rumah subuh, tidur sejam trus langsung ngebut naik sepeda ke kampus dan selama tes gue nyaris ketiduran saking capeknya.

Lanjut.

Gue kayaknya kalo misalnya terpaksa nonton Sushow di Indonesia lagi, hmmmmm mending seating. Pengalaman SS7S kemaren brutal banget. Tadi cerita sampe ngantri masuk ke dalam hall kan. Begitu selesai pemeriksaan, kami bertiga lari, beneran lari buat masuk ke dalam. Di dalam, masih ngantri lagi. Dan si anjir-anjir depan gue ini seenaknya aja. Temennya ngantri tadinya cuma 2 orang. Trus satu masuk lagi, masuk lagi, masuk lagi, sampe akhirnya berlima. Si tiga anjir ini main nyelonong nyelip pas udah sore. Enak ya tante ya, dateng sore dapet depan.

Di seberang gue ada yang nyaris berantem gegara pada nyelak-nyelak ini, persis di seberang. Tadinya temen gue udah mau cari ribut sama si anjir depan gue tapi udahlah. Kami tau yang nyelak ga cuma si tiga anjir ini doang, di depannya dia juga pasti ada, jadi bakal ribut berkepanjangan lah kalo kami mulai juga.

Begitu sampe pit, ya Allah ini isinya bopung semua yang mulutnya pada asoy geboy. Ada orang, another anjir, dia ngaku mau ke temennya di depan karena mau ambil HP. Berusaha nyelap-nyelip cuma orang pada gamah ngalah. Gue udah menduga ni orang naga-naganya mau nipu biar bisa nyelip ke depan. Gue tetep ga bergerak. Dia memohon, like a beggar, minta dikasih jalan buat ngambil HP-nya di depan. Aktingnya sekelas piala Citra. Kalo Academy Awards sih ga sampe lah, masih jauh banget. Pokoknya ngemis minta dikasih jalan buat ke depan. Akhirnya dikasih lah jalan buat dia ke depan, sambil dibilangin kalo udah selesai ambil HP ya balik lagi ke belakang. Si manusia sampah ini pokoknya lumayan meyakinkan lah. Demi Allah ini cuma mau ngambil HP doang, itu yang dia bilang. Gue inget banget karena dia ngucap ga cuma sekali dan dia ada persis di belakang gue jadi gue denger jelas. Warbyasah, nama Tuhannya dibawa-bawa untuk kebohongan dan untuk Suju doang juga. Demi oppa-oppa gay. Moga sadar ya mbak kalo kayak gitu ga baik.

Nah cerita bopung ini adalah ada sekelompok cewek labil. Paling umur-umur kuliahan (itupun kalo dia kuliah), ya mungkin sekitar 20-an awal. Berisik banget pengen gue selepet mulutnya sama gue toyorin kepalanya satu-satu. Kondisi desak-desakan, kepala ketemu kepala (udah bukan bahu ketemu bahu lagi) dan mereka ngomong suaranya 100 desibel kali, kenceng bangat! Apa yang diomongin biarlah jadi memori buruk gue yang semoga bisa cepet terlupakan.

Selama konser, pergerakan pasti ada lah ya. Gue dateng mau nikmatin konser. Diajak jumping ya gue jumping, diajak teriak ya gue teriak. Kiri kanan depan belakang gue pada ngangkat HP. Gue berkali-kali nonton di standing pit, semua orang goyang, semua orang jejingkrakan, semua orang lompat. Gue goyang dikit, sebelah gue marah-marah. Yang tenang dong woi! Gue diteriakin gitu. Kalo tiketnya enggak 2.5 juta, tadinya pengen gue ajak ribut. Eh anjir, udah jelas-jelas elo yang salah. Peraturannya ga boleh foto atau rekam video. Gue di sini nikmatin konser. Lagunya jedag-jedug, ya gue jejingkrakan. Konser ya wajar begitu. Gue beli tiket standing dengan niat gue pengen leluasa ikut gerak karena kalo seating kan gue kudu duduk manis. Kurang piknik keknya ni orang. Asli itu gue pengen banget ngegampar. Tapi gue langsung sadar, tiket 2.5 juta masa gue cuma nonton sejam. Trus posisi berubah, gue kejepit di antara wanita-wanita yang gue rasa otaknya ketinggalan karena rambut mereka panjangnya sepinggang dan DIGERAI. Digerai sodara-sodara. Itu pit panasnya udah kayak di depan furnace (gue bisa relate ini karena mainan gue di depan furnace, keselomot juga pernah, eh enggak ini bukan bangga), penuh sesak dan mereka ga nguncir rambut huhuhuhu. Rambutnya pada nempel di tangan gue karena tangan gue keringetan. Gue sama rambut sendiri aja jijikan, ini lagi rambut orang ga dikenal. Gue kesel, gue jambak aja rambutnya sampe ada beberapa helai yang kecabut. Whoopsie.

Trus ada lagi. Gue bener-bener kejepit dan hampir ga bisa napas karena kegencet kiri kanan depan belakang. Gue berusaha mundur buat cari celah sama yang depan. Belakang gue teriak apa coba? “Woooo mau mundur dia, mau mundur dia. Dikira kita mau ngasih? Kalo gamau desak-desakan, mundur aja ke belakang sana.” Eh another anjir, ngajak ribut. Hahahaha. Mulutnya kagak sekolah, padahal sekolah dari SD sampe SMA gratis. Oh gue tau, dia ga sekolah kayaknya. Sedesak-desakan gue nonton di Korea, gue masih bisa napas bebas. Kegencet iya, tapi sesekali doang. Orang sebelah loncat, ya lo ikutan, menyesuaikan. Gerakan yang seragam bikin space yang lebih lega. Belajar fisika ga mbak? Entropi pernah denger? Oh iya, lupa gue, dia ga sekolah.

Setiap ganti lagu, gue terpikir untuk keluar. Makin lama, napas gue makin pendek dan makin sesak. Si Ryeowook anjir itu ngelempar handuk bekas lap keringet dia ke pit gue pas ment. Orang pada berebutan dan 15 row ke belakang kena imbas, pada hilang keseimbangan dan hampir ngejeblak ke belakang semua. Si anjir ini otaknya ketinggalan kayaknya. Eunhyuk itu sampe syok ngeliat barisan orang pada mau jatuh dan langsung jutek ke Ryeowook. Si bocah itu cuma nyengir tanpa ngerasa bersalah. Dia ga liat apa manusianya sepadat itu. SEPADAT ITU LHO. Beyond normal. Semua orang ngedesak ke depan. Gue udah pengen berenti nonton dari pertengahan konser tapi gue tahan-tahanin, gamau rugi. Ah kalo dipikir-pikir padahal ga rugi juga ninggalin lebih awal. Sumpah itu konser Suju paling ga seru yang pernah gue tonton. Udah mana ga ada Kyuhyun.

Iye, si Kyuhyun ini baru konfirmasi kalo dia ga bakal dateng SS7S setelah tiket kejual. Alasannya karena SS7S udah mulai sejak sebelum dia keluar public service, jadi dia ga enak kalo hyungdeulnya harus bikin koreo ulang. Ya bener juga sih, apalagi di Indonesia itu kan sebenernya bonus aja (plus Arab Saudi), tanggung lah. Paling dua konser ini cuma akal-akalannya SM biar nambah duit. Gue berusaha jual ulang tiketnya tapi ga ada yang mau beli jadi yaudahlah “dengan terpaksa” gue pergi pada akhirnya.

Soal lightstick.... Suju bong gue masih di Korea karena gue pikir kalopun gue nonton konser Suju (SS7 encore atau SS8 - tapi ternyata ada SS7S dulu) gue mau nonton di Seoul aja. Eh ternyata manusia hanya bisa berandai-andai. Ga mungkin gue beli suju bong baru karena jelas buang-buang duit 600-700 ribu rupiah buat barang yang kepakenya cuma sesekali dan toh sebenernya gue juga udah punya. Akhirnya gue beli lightstick abal di abang-abang, mahal pula dan ga bisa ganti warna. Iyalah, bukan official. Gue tuh sebenernya bawa balon, bekas SS7 waktu itu, dapet gratisan udah ditaro di kursi gue plus banner-banner project. Bukan bekas juga sih, emang belom pernah gue tiup, sayang. Nah tadinya gue berniat pake balon aja, ala-ala fans jaman jebot sebelum ada lightstick. Tapi gue takut ganggu yang lain karena balon kan mayan gede dan kalo misalnya gue kegencet tu balon bisa pecah. Akhirnya beli lah gue lightstick abal itu.

Trus ini nih. Kalo nonton di Seoul, ELF-nya kompak pas fanchant. Fan project juga 80% jalan lah. Paling banyak pas kapan ya, gue pernah dapet banner fan project BANYAK BANGET sampe bingung sendiri tapi ya tetep jalan sih. Soal fan chant ini, mungkin karena ELF Korea emang udah ngikutin Suju dari awal kali ya, makanya ngelotok banget tuh fan chant. Gue juga hapal karena “terbiasa” aja dan yang penting lagu-lagu andalan mereka. Nah, kalo fans Indonesia, mereka NYANYI BARENG sama Sujunya. Ga asik lah pokoknya, karena gue kan mau nikmatin suara Suju. Fan chant itu biasanya buat semangat-semangat aja di awal atau lebih umumnya di akhir bait. Gue nonton beberapa konser Suju di Indonesia, Super Show dan KRY, itu pada nyanyi semua. Paling sebel pas KRY Phonograph dong, si Ryeowook itu nyanyi Bunga Terakhir-nya Romeo dan Separuh Aku-nya Noah, sumpah pelafalannya bagus dan kalo suara sih emang udah ga usah ragu ya, eh satu arena nyanyi bareng dong!!! Grrrrrrhhhhhh kan jadi ga syahdu.

Hmmmm beberapa kali nonton konser Suju di Indonesia dengan pengalaman yang kurang mengasyikkan, membuat gue pikir-pikir deh buat konser selanjutnya. Semoga masih rejeki nonton di ibukota Seoul lagi, ketauan puas. Kalopun gue nonton lagi di Indonesia, seating udah best option. Mungkin udah ga umurnya juga gue buat dorong-dorongan sepanjang konser, bukannya asik menikmati. Ga lagi deh gue nyaris pingsan gegara konser gitu. Tapi beneran, gue setakut itu bakal pingsan karena gue lemes, jalan sempoyongan, kepala gue muter melebihi vertigo kambuh, serem deh. Kayaknya itu gegara dehidrasi dan kurang oksigen. Iyalah, hampir 4 jam mulai dari masuk pit sampe konser selesai gue ga minum dan konstan digencet orang. Di Korea kalopun udah mulai main dorong, stafnya langsung turun tangan. Security yang badannya gede-gede bisa nyelip dan marahin biang keroknya. Marahin tu Ryeowook pak, gue bener-bener masih kesel soal dia lempar handuk itu. Biar kata dia artisnya dan gue suka suaranya, tapi sense dia menguap entah kemana. Bahaya tau!

Maap deh, kalo kelakuan orang Indonesia masih ga beradab gitu, standing is a no no. Not anymore. Dibayarin juga makasih, enggak deh.
