Face Your Fears: When Harvey and Mike are threatened by a disgruntled defendant who says they and their friends will face their worse fears, they don’t believe her. They learn she meant it when each of them (Harvey, Mike, Donna, Louis, Rachel, and Jessica) each have to face their worst fear and try to survive it.

I'm trying to watch the last season of Suits before my Peacock subscription runs out and the last thing I remember watching was ... Mike's prison storyline? There's like a five year gap and I don't know what happened and I'm so confused.
Mike and Rachel are gone (but apparently Harvey and Donna called them right after they had sex to brag about it), Katherine Heigl is in every other scene, Louis is still clueless about everything and his girlfriend who didn't want kids is pregnant? Oh, and Jessica is gone, too, but the dude from Psych is here? I have no idea what the fuck is going on. And Rachel's dad is in trouble for...uh, something to do with Mike but it's really Donna's fault? I used to watch this weekly for six or seven years (I quit when Harvey started dating his therapist because ew) but I remember nothing other than Donna is fabulous and I miss Mike and Jessica (Rachel not so much).

Suits rewatch...
OMG by season 4, Mike and Donna have become unwatchable in their self-absorption and/or self-righteousness.

BUZZED REVIEW -  Suits (Seasons 1-6)
Suits is pretty good. I said I was going to watch the pilot and write a review. Then suddenly I was 4 episodes deep so I said I’d do a review of the first half of season 1. Well, alas I’m gaining ground on the Season 3 premiere so I thought I’d better climb out of my show hole, get a buzz on, and review the first 2 seasons. So suit up, it’s going to be a bumpy ride. Okay, time for a confession: what you just read is the only thing I wrote about Suits before hunkering down for seasons 3-5 and then watching season 6 in real time with such voracity that I’m only now realizing — I never finished this review. So clearly I got hooked. Suits is a binge treasure trove six seasons and over 70 episodes deep! It’s perfect for anyone who is enduring a temporary trauma and wants to escape into mild entertainment. Say a break up, or recovering from an injury. It’s also perfect if you like to veg out to TV you don’t have to pay much attention to after a long day at the office. Or if you liked Charmed, Dawson’s Creek, Felicity, Teen Wolf or any other manner of mediocre television, then you are gonna love Suits. It’s a bit better than mediocre, and the most pleasurable of guilty pleasures. Now I know that seems like criticism, but believe me, it’s not. There is a place for this kind of TV, I mean, I’m still fully planning to watch every new episode of every season from now until it gets cancelled, but I’m doing that knowing this is not great TV.  It’s entertaining, in a more-interesting-than-writing-thank-you-notes kind of way, but it’s not transcendent. It’s media, it’s not art.  If this is trying to be Art, with a capital A then it falls miserably short. If, on the other hand, this is trying to be a witty, sometimes even clever and laugh out loud funny cable TV show, making money while making us smile, or roll our eyes, well then TNT has nailed it again. They may not know much about life-changing art over at TNT, but like their slogan says ‘They Know Drama’.
Something rings true and resonates for me now about a guy needing a fresh start, complete change, and new chapter, because I’m at the beginning of a new chapter myself now. As I begin to take my new self-hired and self-proclaimed career as a writer more seriously, I have found myself going through a complete overhaul and being set on a new path.
The “big secret” (which I won’t spoil for anyone new to the series) is at once delightful and out of place. In an otherwise grounded show this idea that someone as driven as Harvey and with his reputation would risk literally everything to help a street thug drug dealer he never met does not ring true at all. If you can get stoned enough to gloss past this little writers contrivance you stand to have a pretty good time. In season one, until the finale the big secret is used mostly in the background, and thankfully so. They added a dash of fantasy to an otherwise engaging legal drama; like a perfect authentic marinara sauce with just a touch too much sugar.  As the series progresses it seems more sugar is added but keeps pace with how much more over the top the entire thing becomes, so it begins to blend together nicely.  Much like a freshly made sauce can taste better the next day, this show becomes more entertaining the longer its been on. As actors hit their stride and secrets come to light, the only thing holding this show back now is that it’s still only pretty good. It might taste better after it’s been with you for a few days, but that’s more a matter of conditioning that actual depth.  It’s fun, to be sure, but it’s definitely needless calories.  Stay stoned and then you can probably stay tuned.
Maybe I’m just stoned, but that turned out to be a pretty innocuously amusing few months bingeing a TV show.
