If only you knew

Every morning I wake up

Without you by my side

It is hard to accept you’re gone

I go to the kitchen

Only to remember

My cooking

Can no longer be enjoyed by the one who means most to me

I try to get through the day

Without having the tears overflow

Without obsessing over memories passed

Without dropping down on my knees

As I lose strength throughout my body

Knowing that you won’t be there when I get home

If only you knew

I go to your grave as I bring your favorite flowers

I stare at the cemetery rock

As I remember the times we shared

Yet there were also many things about you forever a mystery

If only you knew

Would you have stayed alive for me?

Notes: This is a cellphone novel about 2 of my Death Note OCs Sueyasu Ishimaki and Rihoko Haneda. Sueyasu is To-Oh university’s librarian. This is a story told from his perspective about his wife Rihoko who passed away. It is theorized she committed suicide. But it is important to keep in mind she had fallen victim to the Forest of Dreams. Sueyasu and Rihoko will make more sense when I post another fanfiction I am working on called Darkness Rising. I had no plans on posting today, but typing on my phone sudden inspiration took me.
