I was always surprised that my first Aloe, Sappho, never made any offsets. Today I took her out of her container to drill a drainage hole in it, and found a teeny tiny.... thing. I guess it could be a new root but I’ve never seen any greenish roots, so I’m really, really hoping it’s a baby!!!

Hi! One of my echeverias has been losing and dropping leaves that are not even near the outer layer. It doesn't look very normal and it's been happening at a higher rate lately. Other than that, the plant looks healthy, there's even new growth. I watered it last week, because it was very wrinkled and it hasn't really recovered completely. At this point, I'm thinking about getting a look at the roots because it may be root but I barely water it at all. I'd really appreciate your help, thank you.

I’ve had Echeveria also drop leaves in the middle of their rosette for seemingly no reason but they’ve all seemed fine beside that. However not perking back up completely after a watering is a major sign there might be rot, so i would certainly un-pot it and check it out. Hopefully it’s nothing but better to check than to not check and have it be something!
