Every good From Software game teaches you a lesson I think, which is why I like to recommed playing through these games in chronological order of release if possible.
Demon's Souls: There is often a clever way to defeat a difficult encounter, you don't need to brute force everything.
Dark Souls 1: If game hard, go somewhere else, level up, get better at the game, come back and try again.
Bloodborne: Stop playing passively dummy, you got so many movement options, use them to stay aggressive and be in the fight. Also you don't need to take lore absolutely literally 100% of the time.
Dark Souls 3: The combat mechanics are extremely deep and some bosses will test your limits. Also PvP becomes real good around here and very rewarding.
Sekiro: you don't need much to play these games well, your build isn't a problem, most likely you are. You need to practice bosses and hone the core mechanics.
I knew all of these things already by the time I got to Elden Ring, and I simply can't imagine someone playing through ER as their first FS game. Because the lesson you will most likely learn is "These bosses are bullshit and impossible, just use summons lol" because it's the most optimal strategy that removes most other aspects from the game.
