Netaji Sybhash Chandra Boss Jeyanti 23 January 1987 and Full History Aboute Netaji
Subhash Chandra Bose (23 January 1897 — presumed to have died on 18 August 1945) was an influential Indian nationalist leader during the country’s struggle for independence against British rule. He is best known for his efforts in building and leading the Indian National Army (INA) during World War II.
Here are some key points about Subhash Chandra Bose:
Early Life: Subhash Chandra Bose was born in Cuttack, Odisha, British India. He came from a well-educated and financially stable family.
2. Education: Bose completed his education in England, graduating with a degree in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge. He later passed the Indian Civil Service examination but resigned from the service in 1921 to join the non-cooperation movement led by Mahatma Gandhi.
3. Leadership in Indian National Congress: Bose rose through the ranks of the Indian National Congress (INC) and was elected its president in 1938. However, his differences with Mahatma Gandhi and other leaders led to his resignation from the Congress.
4. Formation of Forward Bloc: Bose formed the Forward Bloc in 1939, a faction within the Indian National Congress, to pursue more radical and aggressive strategies for India’s independence.
5. Escape to Germany and Japan: At the outbreak of World War II, Bose sought foreign help to gain support for India’s independence. He first went to Germany and then to Japan, seeking assistance against British rule.
6. Indian National Army (INA): Bose formed the INA in 1942, with the help of Japanese support. The INA consisted of Indian prisoners of war and civilians living in Southeast Asia. Bose’s famous slogan was “Give me blood, and I shall give you freedom!”
7. Battle of Imphal: The INA fought alongside Japanese forces against the British in the Burma Campaign. The Battle of Imphal in 1944 was a significant engagement, but the INA and Japanese forces faced defeat.
8. Disappearance: Bose’s fate after the war remains a subject of mystery. He reportedly died in a plane crash in Taiwan on 18 August 1945. However, there are various theories and controversies surrounding his death, with some suggesting that he may have survived the crash.
9. Legacy: Subhash Chandra Bose is remembered as a charismatic and determined leader who played a crucial role in India’s struggle for independence. His contributions to the INA and his impact on the Indian independence movement have left a lasting legacy.
Bose is often referred to by the honorific title “Netaji,” meaning “Respected Leader” in Hindi. His life and contributions continue to be studied, debated, and celebrated in India.
