How do you get all these colors from one hydrangea bush? 🤔 . . I certainly don’t have a green thumb and can only name a few basic flowers 🌸. But I’ve always heard that the color of hydrangeas comes from the soil they are planted in. . . I don’t know why I have such a variety of colors from the same plant! 🤔 . . What’s your best decor tip? . . It’s #saturdaydecortip 😍😍 time and we’re talking stools! . . Today I’m sharing my growing obsession with stools. I’m suddenly collecting them and love incorporating them into different areas of my home. . . I love that they come in all sizes, shapes & materials. Small stools are particularly fun because you can stack them on tables & shelves to add height and dimension to a vignette or tablescape. . . I’m always needing a little something something! That empty spot beside a chest or a chair. Something to add some height to a plant or a candlestick. Can you relate??? . . Most of my stools are #fleamarketfinds so I don’t spend a lot of money on them. The small one to the left was a $7.00 find this week. it had an unappealing decal on the top. Welcome to #saturdaydecortip 🤗 . . Candlesticks make great props for more than just candles. They add height and interest to your table setting. . . Mix and match the finishes of your candlesticks to add more textures. Varying the heights will help to draw the eye around the tablescape. . . Here I’ve added small bottle brush trees and pinecones as well as candles 🕯😍. I’ve also used tree ornaments, bells and berries on my candlesticks during the holidays. So glad to have “Sophie”, back in time for my first holiday tablescape attempt! . . Sophie is one of the twin calf’s that were born this fall here at the ponds. I fell in love with their sweet faces. I just had to paint one of them. I’m loving her framed in this old shiplap my husband put together for me. . . I decided she would be a sweet holiday cow 🐮🎄!
