Hello! I was wondering if you could write a Brian May X Reader story where bri and the reader are in uni together, and she plays flute. Freddie is her accompanist, and bri tags along and is smitten. Specific, I know sorry, but I've been trying to write this and I'm so cringey I can't lmao Thank you so much!

I’m sure it’s not cringey at all! Everyone is their own worst critic about their writing. Here’s my version! Hope you like :)

“Come on, Brian, it won’t take too long,” Freddie said. “An hour at most, and then we can come back to our stuff, but I promised her.” 

Brian groaned. “Fred, I’m just not a classical music guy. An hour of listening to flute and piano is gonna be a rather long hour for me.”

“Don’t be a baby,” Freddie said. “It’ll be more convenient if you just come along.”

“Alright, fine,” Brian agreed, rolling his eyes. “But you can’t make me enjoy it.”

Freddie only smirked and they walked over to the rehearsal space for you and him. You were already there, taking your flute out of the case and putting it together. You smiled warmly at Freddie and strode over to embrace him. He kissed your cheek.

“Hello, Y/N, darling,” he said. “Wonderful to see you.”

“You as well, Freddie,” you returned, and then nodded toward his tall companion. “Who’s this?”

“This is my friend, Brian May,” Freddie said. 

“Nice to meet you,” you said.

Brian stepped forward and extended his hand. You shook it and offered him a smile. His eyes lingered on your face in a way that made you blush.

“Nice to meet you too,” he returned. “Very nice, indeed.”

Neither of you caught the self-satisfied look on Freddie’s face as he walked over to the piano. 

“Y/N, are you ready to get started?” he asked.

You cut your eyes away from Brian and joined Freddie on the small stage.

“Yeah, sorry,” you said.

You and Freddie began your rehearsal. Brian made himself comfortable in a chair off to the side to watch. He was always impressed by Freddie’s skill on the piano, but today, Brian was completely enthralled by you. You were beautiful, for sure. But it quickly became clear just how talented you were as well. 

Everything about you struck him as delicate. The way your fingers shifted on the flute. The soft curve of your lips as you blew into the mouthpiece. The way your eyes scanned the page of sheet music. He desperately wanted to link his fingers with yours, taste your lips, and gaze into your eyes.

He shook his head to clear it and tried to focus on the sound. But even that was distracting because it was sweet and lilting. Gentle and graceful. Like you.

He didn’t notice, but you kept stealing glances his way throughout rehearsal. Freddie caught on and smiled to himself. His plan was working. You and Brian had known each other for five minutes and couldn’t keep your eyes away. He knew you’d be perfect together.

When rehearsal was over, after an hour, you were feeling great about it. Brian offered you guys as soft applause, so you and Freddie took little sarcastic bows as you laughed.

“It really sounded great,” Brian said. “When’s the recital?”

“In two weeks,” you told him. “Would you like to come and see it?”

“Very much,” he replied.

“Oh would you?” Freddie teased. 

Brian flushed under his knowing gaze, and then Freddie left. He wanted to give Brian the opportunity to ask you out. Brian turned back to you.

“Would you like to maybe get dinner with me?” he asked shyly.

You beamed. “Oh, very much.”

He grinned. It was such a beautiful smile you thought you might melt into a puddle. 

“How’s tomorrow night?”

“Perfect.”

You wrote down your phone number and gave it to him. Then you shook hands again and he left while you packed up. When he came out into the corridor, Freddie stood there, hand on his hip, looking smug.

“How’d it go?” he wondered.

“Great, we’re going out tomorrow,” Brian said. He really took in Freddie’s face a moment. “Hold on, were you planning this?”

Freddie laughed. “Of course I was, darling. I know potential when I see it. Don’t get pissy, it works out for you.”

Brian chuckled. “Alright, Fred. I suppose I should be thanking you.”

“That’s what I like to hear,” Freddie replied. “Now come on, Rog is waiting for us at the pub.”

They left, but for the rest of the night, Brian’s mind wandered to you, and how excited he was to get to know you better.

It’s been a wild year

Tumblr used to not be as big a community or such a source to meet people, but I have had this little blog and my side blog meet so much growth and ups and downs and throughout it all, you guys have made it amazing! So for that, I will always be thankful to every one of you. This month has been especially challenging on a couple levels, so I am especially grateful for everyone who had the patience to listen to me, talk with me, and especially forgive me. 

No matter what your plans are, I wish all of you a happy, joyful, rejuvenating New Years Eve and a lovely start to the New Year!!

Happy New Year, guys!

It's getting close to 2020 where I am (less than three hours) and since I'll most likely be watching and sobbing over Bohemian Rhapsody at midnight, I'm just gonna say it now. You all helped make my year a little better, and even though it's been a tough one I've grown a lot and I have a lot of hope for next year. Changes are coming for me, but I look forward to what good things will come my way. I hope you all have (or had) a great New Year's, whether you're going big or just celebrating at home. Thanks for being such a great community of people, and I can't wait for what 2020 will bring us.
