"please baby? please?" you pouted, literal tears forming in your eyes. you were good at this. really good.

chris let out a soft sigh before immediately saying "yes" and walking over to you, pulling your waist close to him so your chests were pressed together. "fine. but only because i love you and this cute little pout of yours." he pressed a small kiss to your pouted lips before pulling away. "can't resist it."

you were still pouting for show but your expression changed when reality set in and you came to the realization that he actually said yes. you were finally getting a kitten! "really baby? you mean it? you can help me name him and everything."

that made chris smile, his hands rested onto your hips, his eyes locked onto yours. eye contact with chris always made you weak in the knees and your tummy flutter, no matter how long you've been together and how much it's happened since you met. "of course, baby. i know how much it'll make you happy."

"i just know you'll fall in love with him too." you moved your hand up to run your fingers throughout his messy locks. he looked so adorable with his oversized hoodie (that you haven't stole yet) and sweatpants and his hair all tossled on his head. he was perfect.

"we will see about that."

"we have to. look at these little guys. they can't be apart."

"they remind you of your brothers don't they?" you raised your eyebrow up at him in curiosity, a grin tugging on your lips.

he nodded his head at you, scratching the one kitten's chin and pressing a soft kiss to the other one's head as he allowed the one to nuzzle its nose and face into his hoodie. "can't split these babies up. they have to go home with us."

that made your heart swell. he was so sweet. he was going to make an amazing father one day. you walked up to him, the other kitten moving over to crawl over into your arm as chris wraps his arm around your waist and pulls you close to him. in that moment, you felt like a family. and you couldn't be happier. "then let's get them both."

so they did. and their names? peanut and butter. chosen by chris, of course.
