Vodka went to the vet's again last week as the improvements were shortlived. He wasn't in a good shape but I could see him trying. The vet wasn't kidding when she said that it will be intensive home care. So Vodka's medication schedule has to somehow fit into my working hours. And it looks like this: 3am: Antibiotics for Intestinal Bacteria 5am: Fibreplex Probiotics 7am: Antibiotics for Intestinal Bacteria, Anti Parasite Meds, Gut Mobility Meds, Vit B12 & yet another Antibiotics 9pm: Fibreplex Probiotics and subcutaneous injection for fluids to hydrate 11pm: Antibiotics for Intestinal Bacteria, Anti Parasite Meds, Gut Mobility Meds, Vit B12 & yet another Antibiotics I think he really is recovering because he has more and more energy to wriggle and not want to eat his antibiotics for intestinal bacterial. The meds are helping to bind the toxins to be passed out, help the guts move the poop along, clear the gas (which resulted in blockage and then GI) and work on his hydration. Because he was so quiet previously and did not move, he peed and sat where he peed, thereby resulting in urine scald (which is another issue to solve after the other more pressinf matters) . On the bright side, Vodka is eating better😄, pooping better and peeing better. His drinking has improved and gone down to normal👏 as he was previously drinking at least twice as much as he usually drank.
