Re holivia im convinced that Harry was told it would be the same as his past stunts: do a little work, be seen together and then she'd carry it for a few months and it would fade away and that was why he agreed in the first place (I think Jeff convinced him to do the movie as a favor and to keep his name out there during covid) problems were 1) it was tied to the movie 2) she was his boss 3) she had waaaay more experience with stunting/ the industry and had more ground to demand his involvement. I think she wasn't happy with how little people believed it and demanded he do more until the release and he basically had no choice bc she definitely could have ruined him with a few well placed stories. (Just my opinion based on looking back, it definitely seemed like they were working towards ending it early in the year which would have coincided with the og release date rumor, after that it seemed to ramp up )
I agree with most of this. But I don’t think Harry needed convincing to do the movie. On paper, at the beginning, it seemed like a great choice. Clearly, it wasn’t.
But I do think she held the power in that situation and it dragged on a year longer than it was supposed to (partially because the movie was an absolute mess, but I really wouldn’t be surprised if she leaned into stalling because she was living the A-list life she’d always craved).
I truly can’t believe I survived that nightmare.

Movies where the lead actor did their own stunts are always either "the director forced them to stand in freezing water for fourteen hours a day while periodically throwing rocks at their head for the sake of 'authenticity' and they got PTSD and almost died" or "they insisted over the explicit objections of the production's insurance company that they be set on fire for real because it would 'help [them] understand the character's motivation'" – there's absolutely no middle ground.

Is anyone else confused by how the box office works for movies and what makes a movie a “flop” because I’m very confused. I adore Fall Guy and really want to see it succeed and it sounds like it’s doing well as it’s been #1 box office spot for two weeks running yet because it didn’t surpass the cost it took to produce the movie on its first weekend it’s a “flop”? Why does everything need to be some mega blockbuster hit to be considered a success? The movie has great reviews, anytime I see anyone talk about it it’s extremely positive, and it’s an incredibly entertaining and uplifting movie. I’m tired. Anyways, rant over. Go see Fall Guy it’s a great movie you won’t regret it!
