3/100 days of productivity
21/01-2018 18:52
Ugh, exams are on friday and I do not feel prepared or anything. Only managed to do half of 1 assignment today. Haven't even read half of what I’m supposed to for the oral exam. Really getting stressed out. Hoping to make it to the finish. Tomorrow I will be studying with Martin, hopefully that will prove productive.
At least I did some exercise.

Hey! Could you please give me 5 tips on how to learn grammar for language? :) Thanks.
Hello! :) Here’s how I learn grammar for languages:
1) Firstly, focus on vocabulary. Grammar has limited use if you don’t know vocabulary, so make sure you’ve already memorised the basic nouns and verbs of everyday vocabulary of the language you’re learning.
2) Write down all the rules. Writing all the do’s and don’ts in your notes makes it easier for you for you to refer back whenever you’re unsure. Some languages have very systematic grammar so having notes about grammatical rules are necessary. Just make sure your notes are understandable for you because you might refer to them quite frequently in the future!
3) Immersion is key. Read tons and tons of books in the language you’re learning. Watch videos or movies with subtitles. Listen to audiobooks. Read textbooks while listening to their audio versions. It will naturally improve your understanding of the language (and it also helps with pronunciation)
4) Talk to your teacher or talk to anyone who speaks the language you’re currently learning. One of the best ways of learning a new language is to test yourself/let other people test you. If you have other friends who are learning the same language as you are, converse with them in the language. Do not worry about making mistakes, that’s part of learning!
5) Practice, practice, practice! And make sure you practice persistently. Every other day, flip back and review what you’ve learnt. Do tons of grammar exercises. I like to memorise certain phrases and read alot of example sentences whenever I’m trying to understand grammar. If you don’t understand a certain phrase, look it up. Have a habit of looking something up whenever you don’t understand a certain subject.
6) Do NOT focus too hard on memorising grammar especially if you’re a beginner. You didn’t begin understanding your native language by learning the grammar straight away. So instead, immerse yourself in the language and the grammar should come to you naturally.
You asked for 5 but I added an extra haha. I hope this was helpful to you! Happy studying! x
