Three Sentence Review: I think this might be in my top 3 Lord Edgington books now! The setting was gorgeous, the characters were eclectic and intriguing, and I loved our master sleuths trying to go "undercover" while snowed in with all these strangers. Benedict Brown's Christmas stories are some of his best and you really get a sense of the amount of research he puts into making them historically accurate while also entertaining.

Since most of the skins are Super Sentai themed, I feel like that Butterfly Symmetra is a kaiju, similar to Mothra. She can turn into a huge version of that butterfly you can get in the battle pass as a souvenir

I wanna doodle or write an au for Super Mega Ultrawatch where Lifeweaver leaves Vishkar after finding out the company was doing illegal experiments on employees. Symmetra, being their top candidate, is merged with a rare species of butterfly kaiju, so Lifeweaver decides to rescue her and leave Vishkar for good. He feels like his only option to turn her back is to beg Calamity Ashe for help, which she agrees if they help her take on the Ultrawatch heroes.

Suddenly inexplicably thinking of a vicious cold front sweeping over the Lands of the Old Faith, dumping several feet of snow on them and dropping the temperatures far below 0. No one is enjoying it but Heket especially is having a hell of a time: her cold blooded nature means the blustery weather saps her strength. It leaves her sluggish, foggy-minded, and miserable: she's incredibly irritable and very weak in this state. It's an honest effort to keep herself from slipping into a hibernation coma like so many of her amphibious followers. With them knocked down, there's less devotion for her to drink, which really isn't helping her condition 🤭 she holes herself up in her temple, commanding the people of Anura to worship, worship, worship while she desperately tries to keep herself alert and aware and resist the siren call of sleep

the 15–16-year difference is because after the murder case (Nathan killing the mayor with a cult controlling him) he was sent to an isolated cabin in the mountains to serve his sentence and do rehabilitation (a therapist came by every week/2 week and Johnny came by every week to check on Nathan). Nathan couldn't be placed in a prison because he'd just manipulate and take over the prison.

they placed him in the cabin not only for that but also because he hated the woods and hated having to get himself dirty (because he needed to chop wood and somewhat farm; every so often the gate guards would deliver him approved foods/seeds).

there was then......THE BLIZZARD INCEDENT..............(that'll be revealed later however)

Im so tempted to delve further into my dream with the copies of Sonic Shadow and Silver but im worried ill get in over my head. I have cardigan au and equinox au and a third au ive been mulling around so i can play with Sonilver and Blazamy. (which i have a first chapter for but ive had it for like 2 years just sitting there cuz idk what to do with it)

But the dream I had, the more i think about it the more I want to play with it some more. I already drew for it a bit. But im scared of getting burnt out again. My creativity is in shambles and inconsistent and I have so many things that ive already started but dont feel like finishing. Do i REALLY need to start another AU when i have some unfinished fanfics for my current ones??

dark clouds have descended upon the sloping mountainside, a harsh wind whipping across the expanse of trees and rocks, snow cascading down without mercy in a relentless assault on the mountain and all on it. gaz trudges through rapidly decreasing visibility with singular determination, body hunched in and folded over as to protect himself from the storm beating down all around. what had been in their favor while infiltrating the airbase had quickly become their largest adversary when it came to getting out of it, and with their exfil vehicle destroyed, it is now what's keeping them from getting off the mountain altogether.

the whiteout of the storm closes in, and it's just as the visibility drops even further that he sees the flash of a familiar shape among the trees. " lieutenant! " he calls above the howl of the wind as he comes upon where ghost has dug in, kneeling and turning his shoulder against the storm's barrage. " that's a negative on exfil, sir. the car has been destroyed ⸺ suppose konni wants us to stick around for a rematch. " he says with a wry twist of the mouth, shrugging his pack into the space between them before settling with his back against the makeshift wind blocker, relief flooding his chest in time with the breath he can finally allow himself to catch.

" i grabbed what i could from the wreckage, but i reckon we're going to have to get comfortable until this clears. " the 'clears enough for nikolai to get through' is left unsaid as he finally turns his gaze from the ice cold frenzy that encircles them to the man at his side, " unless you've got a snowmobile tucked away somewhere, sir. "
