me: "I hope you are ready to have your battery drained, girl, because tonight we are going for a full stripdown~ Oh, so full of dust, been running hard I see~"
The laptop owner: "Do you always do this?"
Me, making out with the screen: "Excuse me, I'm trying to have some time with my girlfriend."

Jen, I did it. I used the lip liner with the Ruby Woo lipstick and it worked! Even though I had some transfer at lunchtime, I really didn't need to reapply it.
——
Ahhh!! I told you!! Lipliner is one of the best things ever! Now, if you want to define your lips a bit more, MAC Stone lipliner is a MUST HAVE! I don’t know if any of my followers are POC, but the lipliner, Chestnut is a MUST have. MAC lip liners are by far my favorites. Oak, Cork, Dervish, Half-Red (I use this all the time as a lip color), Spice (the older formula was better), Stripdown, Subculture, and WHIRL! The queen of all lipliners!

Turn Into Something Beautiful
The Magicians, Quentin/Eliot, Teen, 6k (read on ao3)
After Dean Fogg's verbal stripdown to top off a shitty week, Quentin finds his way back to the Cottage, Gerald quietly whimpering from inside his carrier.
"You're lucky your reckless arrogance didn't kill him, Mister Waugh, or yourself," Fogg said.
Fuck, Quentin feels so damn pathetic.
"It's okay," Quentin murmurs to the puppy, "I'm sorry for giving you a scare."
Hoping to avoid being seen by anyone, Quentin takes the backway and sets Gerald's carrier down on one of the back patio's tables. Perching in one of the chairs, he opens the carrier and removes the puppy to hold him in his lap.
Gerald settles in a small furry ball with his nose tucked against Quentin's stomach. He rubs at his own already reddened eyes before roughly wiping at his nose using his sleeve. With a sniffle, Quentin runs his fingertips against Gerald's little head while the puppy snores. "You know, it's not really fucking fair that magic can't cure you."
Margo's right. Everyone is right. That a shitty world can't expect magic to come along as a miracle cure-all for their problems.
But if Fillory can have Chatwin's Torrent that heals any ailment one has when they swim in it, then why can't they have something, too? Why can't Quentin be allowed to be a good son for once and fix something instead of breaking it?

tagged by @sabakos !!! post here
rules: tag 10 people you want to get to know better
relationship status: in a couple! it’s pretty uncomplicated rn aside from being long distance :( we're both poly though
favorite color: red <3
song stuck in my head: Stripdown - Agent Side Grinder
last song i listened to: Red Like Fire - O. Children
three favorite foods: umm idk but recently its been persimmons, lime sparkling water, and spam musubi
last thing i googled: due to my issues i almost always search things on incognito mode, but "universal numeral classifier accessibility hierarchy" was normal enough to go in the browser history i guess
dream trip: someone will need to get me on a plane to japan one of these days, it's becoming an embarrassment. otherwise i'd really like to do more roadtrips around the west coast/midwest, maybe even with someone this time! but traveling alone can be rly fun
anything i want right now: hhh the most pressing one is probably irl friends that i see outside of school. a nice notebook. also this is a big ask but i'm ready to have interests again and maybe even creativity.
tagging @mifhortunach @grand-magnificent @faerieconsort and anyone else who'd like to! haven't been interacting with too many people on here lately tbh
#ok sorry this took a while jdhskhs. also just now realized i hadn’t done the last one charlie tagged me in -_- whoops#[post]

All right. I have spent several weeks fiddling with the computer tower, googling and trying various fixes...and seen no progress. What’s left is a complete stripdown and testing of all parts to see what’s salvageable. If I’m really lucky, I’ll find something small causing the processor to lose power 3 seconds after power on. But I suspect it might be the processor itself, and/or the motherboard. Which means essentially replacing the computer and hoping the OS drive doesn’t need a full wipe to function.
Which I can’t really afford to do all at once right now. It’s going to be a few paychecks of “buy parts until there’s a working computer again.”
I started with a new case, because there’s only one I could find that would work with what I have in mind, and I’m not risking it selling out while I waffle around with the question of “how much corrosion do I have to sand off the current case if I don’t want it to spread to the new components?” If the current system miraculously fixes itself, I’ll keep it boxed for when I inevitably need to build a new system. If I *do* have to build a new system now, I’ll sand the old case down and see about putting together a media center or something.
*sigh* frickin’ salt air. Someday I’d like to live in an environment that *doesn’t* dissolve electronics into green sludge.

Vintage Horsebox Next up in our new range of food trucks is our converted horse box. We looked at a wide range of converted horse trailers, but were never 100% happy with the design. We happened by chance upon a maker called Sinclair, long defunct, but their trailers were different as they had a curved front panel rather than the usual triangular style. After much searching we located one at the other end of the country, a brief conversation and we were told that it is perfect, ready for the road. Cue and early morning trip to Bournemouth. On arrival, the rather vacant sounding young man informed us that actually the lights don't work. Hmm, so not quite road worthy then. Luckily I had the foresight to throw a lighboard in. However upon examining the trailer we discovered that it had four different sized wheels. "Tell you what mate, I'll ring the boss and tell her about the trailer and let you know" Check out our other food trucks. Knutsford Luckily I had a back up plan, I had found another trailer at Knutsford, only about 100 miles out of our way on the return trip lol, and this one was described as 'mint'. We duly arrived at Knutsford. The trailer was far from mint, but it was suitable for what we wanted. We struck a deal, coupled up and discovered that a short on the trailer lights had blew the lights on the van. That turned into a whole other saga as changing the fuse necessitated a full strip down of the dash to reach the bloody thing. But I digress, we set off home sans lights. On the way we did receive a text message from the first seller asking when we would be returning for the first trailer. FFS, we left there 7 hours ago. Not Quite Mint, But Useable or What We Wanted The Initial Strip Down After careful consideration we decided that rather than doing what most people seem to do, a quick coat of brush paint and throw some counters in, we decided to make it something nice. So we started with a complete strip down to the bare frames, leaving my other half to retort, all you have actually bought is a bloody frame! Taking it back to bare metal we primed everything with rustcoat, then coated the entire frame with black Raptor, one of our favourite products. This gives a hard wearing textured finish that protects everything and covers amazingly well. Complete Initial Stripdown Our Favourite, Raptor Coating New Flooring One of the concerns the health inspector had was that the original floor would contain years of horse urine soaked into the wood. No probs, as we stripped and burned the original wood flooring and binned the rubber coating. A new wood floor was fitted, two coats of stain to seal it, then a new rubber coating. Fitting A New Floor Big Decision, Wooden Cladding One of the major decisions was how we were going to finish the exterior. The original wood was a high grade hardwood, but because all the screws and bolts were seized in, we pretty much destroyed it taking it off. A trip to our local wood guys yard and a look through his collection of woods saw us settling on Sapele. A tropical hardwood that is related to mahogany, and is a fabulous colour, ranging from red to golden brown. We used a soak in wood treatment on all the panels, then a number of coats of satin varnish, as we didn't want an overly glossy look to the trailer. Adding Our Sapele Panels We also settled on a satin black for the fibreglass roof and aluminium corner panels. Again, we wanted a less shiny look, though I admit the satin clearcoat was a nightmare to spray without it looking patchy. In the end after numerous attempts I gave up. But curiously, after a couple of weeks the patches disappeared and a uniform coating appeared???? Front Panels New Corners Restored The Jocky Door The front corner panels were steel, they were overly heavy and badly rusted, so we replaced them with three mm aluminium. In retrospect two mm might have been sufficient as the three really took some bending. Making It Different We wanted a different look to the usual horse trailers, and I freely admit that we had seen an American horse trailer that we loved, so we used that for inspiration. One of the things we added to achieve this different look was a number of windows, both to let light into the trailer, and to add some visual appeal. End Windows On To The Interior Finally we got started with the interior. A number of steel frames were built in situ, with sapele front panels added and temporary countertops in MDF. A water tank, water heater and waste system, single and three phase electrics and a cooking fume extraction system. Also in common with our other food trucks we added a 42 inch display for menus and such. The interior corners we added alternating sapele and idigbo strips to add some visual effect. Another Of Our Food Trucks Almost Finished Our programmable light panel. We added decorative copper panels to the exterior and additional windows to the front. Just waiting on the production of our top sign at this point. Sign finished and fitted Read the full article

I'm not sure the rear one has ever been apart since I bough the bike new in 1999 - time for a proper stripdown. Not before time either, as the pins and one of the pistons was seized solid. I had to split the caliper just to get the pins out. The pads (possibly the originals) were on their arse too.

Juan Hoerni feat. Terry Dexter - Stuck In The Middle (Cha Cha Project Recordings)
8DPromo · Juan Hoerni feat. Terry Dexter - Stuck In The Middle (Cha Cha Project Recordings)
Once again, Los Angeles house music don Juan Hoerni joins forces with singer Terry Dexter for another uplifting slice of dancefloor bliss. "Stuck in the Middle," released on Juan's Cha Cha Project Recordings imprint, features immaculate performances from both the players — including Scott Wozniak on keys — and Terry Dexter. The accumulation of soulful expertise helps to welcome the warm summer air as things heat up on the floor. A disco-accented rhythm section drives electric piano chords and swirling organ riffs, laying down the perfect musical bed for Terry Dexter's emotive, memorable vocal performance. Top-notch all around.
The legendary Jovonn, an undisputed pioneer of the '90s' NYC/New Jersey house music sound, is on hand for a trio of prime-time remixes. Jovonn's Main Mix toughens the rhythm and accompanies it with a staccato synth bass line. The vocal is solidly at the fore, with the organ and key melodies providing support. Jovonn also supplies a Dub version of this mix, as well as a Stripdown Mix. The latter really shows off Terry Dexter's incredible vocal, pushing it further up in the mix while downplaying most of the keyboard elements. Superb all around.
Hector Romero (Def Mix) – “Right on. I’m feeling this. Nice one to all involved.” Frank Situation (Situation) – “This is deep fire! Great work.” Brad Eller (Glass Slipper) – “Right up my alley! Love the vocal, and Scott’s keys are dope as always.” Michael Fossati (Spirit of House) – “What a paramount release.” Edground (Brazillian Soul Crew) – “This is an amazing release. All mixes are perfect.” Niall Redmond (The Digital Groove) - “Nice vibes on this release, Classy.”
