I haven’t made a dragon in a while (scandalous, I know, considering the name of this blog) but I really didn’t think I was that out of practise 😅

anyway look at my wonky son. 🐉

Made in (my favourite) Riot chunky with a 5mm hook from the Scrap Dragon Amigurumi pattern by StringyDingDing on ravelry. Swapped out the horns of the pattern because they looked too cute and piggy-like for my liking, the wings are lovely but rather angelic rather than draconic and although it’s not in the pattern he does need some spikes down the middle to help refute his mouse-like features.

Let’s see if I can do better in getting all four feet on the ground next time 🤣

So I’ve been crocheting a bunch lately. (In part for mental health reasons) and here are some things I’ve turned out!

Chameleon pattern from StringyDingDing blanket is basic granny squares with single crochet join and pompom edge water bottle holder from sarahmaker.com and the gothberry/strawberry pillow is from HayHayCrochet

This is Speck! The first little dude I crocheted in 2022; he helped me through a lot of big Chicago things. I took him to class if I was having a hard day, on an adventure so I had a buddy, and even entered him in a TDOV student art exhibit (pictured below).

Speck is my buddy, and I'm glad I made him when and where I did. 😊

This is a free PDF download pattern for Pillsbury Doughboy. It’s a little more advanced because you are building the body from making two legs that work into the body, as well as using a popcorn stitch to make his fingers.
