The woman was right, someone definitely had to clean that mess, otherwise someone else would end up in the very same situation as Minerva. To be truth though, the red-haired princess lingered a little longer while the other woman handed her the brooch – not even noticing it was identical to hers, but you need to collect all of them, right? No? Well, too late, she was already collecting the last piece she needed to be in possession of each different piece.
She, though, didn’t catch the name of the mysterious woman, who definitely was some sort of teacher or instructor, since Minerva saw her during some of the main reunion of the staff; however, she wanted to at least introduce herself, since she suddenly realized she as well did not even introduce her name or her role.
With the string of pearls still in the hand, she called back for her, “I’m Minerva, by the way!” and while she did not expect any response, she lastly stared at the reward obtained, wondering if it could be a beginning of a new interesting acquaintance.
[ Splash ] - Amid the decorations brought in for the occasions is a beautiful three tier fountain sculpted in with Seiros in mind. Come refresh yourselves! But do try not to get soaked.
After the many drinks, maybe some fresh water could do something good for the red-haired princess, considering that it has been a while since she spent so many hours among people, food and drinks. Maybe water could erase even the suffocating sense of unsuitableness that was slowly emerging in her: with that in mind, Minerva quickly approached the fountain, ready to immerge at least an arm and get some freshness on her skin, but as she got closer to it, she didn’t notice the wet pavement right in front of the beautiful font and she almost fell on her back if a mysterious woman wouldn't catch her by the arm, incredibly managing to save her ass from the ground.
Shocked, Minerva suddenly turned her gaze to meet the one of the stranger. “You..!” she still was a bit confused, but she managed to get back on her feet by herself. “Thank you.. I wasn’t expecting that” she glanced at the fountain, wondering if it was a good idea for the very beginning. “I suppose I owe you something” and without thinking twice, she picked one of the little pearl mounted on her brooch, a brief smile as she handed it over to her.
“Thank you for saving my butt, Miss..?” she waited for an answer, not really bothering about mannerism or decorum. Alcohol was still controlling her body.
With each attraction, Selena can only find herself more and more amazed at the scale and grandeur the monastery can accomplish. Certainly, if this were Castle Renais, or perhaps Grado Keep, she could understand—those were the capitals of vast kingdoms and empires, with treasuries that amass the sort of funds that could afford these things. Central Church or otherwise, she would not imagine the home of a religion to have this sort of gold.
But then again, neither would she imagine the monastery to be home to all that it is.
She sees another slip, and it is her instinct to reach out and help—solidify your stance, balance her weight, stand strong. (Like stones and rocks and the most precious of gems–)
“It was nothing,” Selena replies, allowing the redhead woman to stand on her own (though she keeps an eye out for any signs of another fall in the happening.) “Someone ought to clean that up,” she muses to herself, making a note to alert some of the staff on duty.
At the offer of a pearl, the professor finds herself a bit surprised. “O-Oh, right.” (Though she feels a bit silly exchanging nigh identical brooches, her own string of pearls is exchanged for other’s.)
“Do enjoy the rest of your night.” (Here, she turns to find some of the janitorial staff.)
