Hearing your propaganda for QSMP has convinced me to give it a try. This might not bode well for me.

In the meantime, I have hermitcraft and life series propaganda! SOS has just started, but they're stricly sticking to no lore gameplay fun with friends, so if that's your thing please check it out!! It has some wonderful people.

If you want more lore filled fun, you can always check out Empires SMP Season 1 and 2! Hermitcraft is a bunch of friends messing around with redstone, pranks and insane builds and artistry and is a generally fun time. Season 10 just started this month- you can catch up really easily! We've already had a death game initiated, fishing and ocean is a big thing, the mafia is involved, neighbourhood associations with ministries exist, and a post office system is being set up! :D Come join the fun! Life Series is five seasons of all less than 10 episodes, consisting of a limited amount of lives in some form. People form alliances with friends, break them, betray them, wage wars and death pranks to win the series. It isn't actually that lore filled (unless you're watching Martyn) but the fandom took the angst and RAN WITH IT. You should check out the tags for it, it's gorgeous stuff. Currently my favourite aspect of mcyt. -❄️

oooooh tbh im not exactly stricly fixated on smth rn which is funny buuut i was talking about xenoblade a bit ago so xenoblade 3

xenoblade in general has some really sick fight choreography, but one of my favorite scenes in general has to be like. EVERYTHING that happens after the prison break with M and right before they get captured again.

like, the part where the camera shows them fighting all in one shot with no cuts, taion going “i lied” and how fast M can switch between controlling them all to make it super chaotic. this whole part is just augh so anime and so awesome

man its so hard to choose. each one of the ouroboros are my funny little guys. im gonna talk about noah bc i feel like i can say something interesting

so at first i really didnt think much of noah. like hes so main character that i found him sort of boring. not like bad just kinda underwhelming compared to the other characters. but as the story unfolded i really understood what they were going for with making N a foil to him.

noah is like so, so kind. but hes also very thoughtful about it, he considers everything that’s happening and then chooses to be kind almost every time.

and he does this because he cares so much about the people around him, he doesn’t want to see anyone at all die. if the consuls just stopped fighting them and doing crazy horrible shit he would let it go because he doesnt want to kill them either. (for the most part, he does have limits)

which is why in another life he turns into N, unable to bear seeing M die. and the crazy thing is i think you see glimpses of that throughout the story. noah chooses to be kind because he grew up closer to death than most, because when people die he sees it as them leaving him (something he reveals at the start of chapter 6). which if you know N you understand how that connects.

and i feel like theres something about noah’s character that is a little more than normal anime determination. in a few ways he actually ruthless yknow? noah is one of the smartest people in the party, and he chooses when he is kind and when he is not carefully. his morals means he believes its worth it to be kind and give others the benefit of the doubt, but he isn’t naive and uses that sort of leader main character charm he has to push them forward towards their goals

noah knows that people listen to him when he speaks, that when he gives his speeches to characters blocking the way he can make them understand the “we’re doing this with you or without you, help us or dont stand in our way” threat all while just expressing how he feels

idk how else to really describe it but i think noah is, not necessarily manipulative but the game goes out of its way to show he has the capacity to be (N being the most obvious example). he only isnt because he has so many more people standing by him, much more faith in him from relying on them.

but thats really just my take on him

The current Takarazuka Revue Policy on Copyright

As of yesterday after updating the Maiti article, my friend reminded me that Takarazuka Revue has updated their policy on copyright with an FAQ of 13 questions. This leads to limitation of expression in the Takarazuka fandom unfortunately and that’s why a “climate shift” of fan accounts privatizing their accounts.

For the official link, you can read it here, but the translation is as follows:

all intellectual property of takarazuka revue (names, lyrics, script, images, audio, video, merchandise, stage design, publications of performers, staff and performances) belong to takarazuka revue.

no photography and videography is allowed in the second and third floor zones of “takarazuka revue hall of fame”. in places that photography is allowed, unless you are in the foreground of the images, you must not post such images online.

takarazuka performances may be restaged in schools’ cultural festivals if (i) it is not for profit, (2) no ticket fee collection, (3) no salary distribution to performers. please do not change the title and content of performance. please show but not rent out the programmes.

it is stricly forbidden to record broadcasted materials at home in order to sell, rent out to others, or for other purposes beyond personal viewing use.

when using the music (lyrics/songs) of takarazuka revue, please first consult the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers.

i didnt actually click your channel for the longest time, i was subscribed but only watched what got to the front page. As such, i thought you were just another american cishet youtube video-essay maker, even if one with an unusual editing style and really good analysis compared to the rest. it took me a puppyhelic triangle video to show up in my recomended for me to actually look into your channel. I ended up coming across the therian thing before finding out you were trans, so one really dampened the impact of the other. It was a pleasant surprised nevertheless.

You really do pass. Your voice, despite being extremely pleasent to the ears, and the fact that you are usually talking about a very complex subject that limits the viewer's chance to wander enough to begin to question things like that, your voice (or at least your voice from two-five years ago) is overall really hard to classify as stricly feminine or masculine, and so i really never thought about it. It never popped up in my mind until you said it. To be fair, this is something that has happened at least five times with me, to be listenting to a trans person speak about some random topic and never even think about anything related to their gender, only to open their channel page and be gret by a trans flag or randomly find a video from them where the fact that they are trans is relevant.

More late night thoughts about Vegas and Pete

I was thinking about Vegas and about the way Gun raised and beat him into becoming a weapon; I was thinking about his office, which is a front decorated with shiny shit by someone who secretly and desperately wants to be discovered and found interesting enough to dwell on. I was thinking of how the Bond villain attire is strictly mafia and stricly work gear, Vegas himself being a snuggly PJs kind of man. I was thinking of how his family did to Vegas what many people do to pitbulls - take a very mellow and protective nature and twist it into something hideous and then BLAME the animal for how it was trained and for being too good at carrying out his master's orders. And then in walked Pete.

I saw your witchy shit. I saw your BDSM gear. Cool decor, bro. You need love. You're doing your best. You're a good son. You don't have to compare yourself with others. Like on those shows where they rescue abused dogs, they cower or try to bite when they see a hand approach because they are used to the beatings, but when the hand pats the head, the dogs wag their entire person. It takes one instance of being seen to be reset. And sure, it could be argued that this take makes Vegas too needy and pathetic, and painting him as a victim is boring and not as fun as making him be an unrepenting monster-

And the scarred and mean looking dog gets to go home with a human, and sleep on a soft bed. Not even God can save whoever is reckless enough to threaten his human.

Then, what does it say about Pete, a man hardened by a life of poverty, abuse, and intense violence, who still, even when pushed to his limits, can look at a man and say "yep, needs love" ?

Not these stale takes on Vegas again

I was reading a thread on reddit and someone was saying that Vegas is a chronic loser, that he always loses out to Kinn, that even Porsche with his one braincell knows all Vegas deserves is a hard pass. And then they had the gall to add "and he ended up with a fucking bodyguard". I've seen the post yesterday and I am still fuming. It bothered me so much that there's people who see Vegas as a loser and it made me think. While I was watching the series, I felt that for Vegas to be a credible villain, he should have gotten with Porsche FIRST, before Kinn, a la Dangerous Liaisons, but then I realised that if he had done that, sure it would have one-upped Kinn, but it would have made Vegas petty and short-sighted in his pursuits. And I like to tell myself that Porsche does find Vegas attractive, but the little self-preservation he has is begging him not to fuck around and find out because sure, Vegas is appealing and he promises a lot, but danger follows him wherever he goes and Porsche would like to live to see Chay graduate ( *cough* if Chay sees fit to get his shit together at some point *cough*). Calling Vegas a loser is looking at him through his father's eyes and choosing to ignore the fact that he is hands-on, competent, brings the skills needed to lead and is respected (and feared) by his henchmen. Kinn sits on his ass and does what daddy tells him, and when shit doesn't go his way he flashes his ring like he's in a Green Lantern movie. He wins just by showing up. On a level, I also think Vegas was sabotaging his attempts to get with Porsche just to stick it to Kinn because I can't imagine he approved of the plan since it came from his bitch-ass dad and it was in poor taste. I cannot, for the life of me, imagine that Vegas, perceptive and good at reading people Vegas, failed to see that his sad meow-meow cursed prince act would not work on Porsche, who loves to be the princess in every scenario and who is looking for a hero with big firm tiddies he can dramatically faint on. I also don't think Vegas is a loser AT ALL. Sure, he didn't beat Kinn at... *checks notes* being trapped in the mafia and under Korn's foot? And he "ended up" with the best, most interesting and hottest character on the show, who also happens to be compatible with him and loves him back... wow, such tragedy (that I would also like to experience)!

Look how in love he is. Pete is the best thing that happened to him, at the right time too. That's not losing and going home with scraps to me.
