Xiao bringing Mingzhu to the store and ended up chasing her as she tried to eat the plants.

Granny Beetroot laughing as she watches them. She could never be mad at Xiao for what another does and she views Mingzhu as a wild child. She even hands her a flower that the dragon eats like a lollipop when Xiao takes her home. Eventually Granny Beetroot babysits for Xiao and Gemmy and has tea with Meili.

She is the one Mingzhu is with when the others get taken. She is able to obliterate those that come after Mingzhu from the Cult of Rejection.

Also I’m going off anon here so no one can take my moniker and say things that I wouldn’t.

honestly! mingzhu is weak compared to vision holders and other adepti. but if random humans from the cult of rejection came for her she could just bite them. their skin isn't resistant to dragon teeth. however she is too trusting the cult could be like hey we are planning a surprise for ur family would u like to join and she'd be like okay! :D!! granny protects her from that and then mingzhu protects granny from anyone else who tries to come after them. mutual protection

im still caught up in the idea of xiao taking care of mingzhu. mostly bc he doesn't always take care of himself and now he has a child suddenly. the first time mingzhu climbs into his lap he's probably very panicked. silently asking for help from literally anyone except they just take pictures. xiao knows how to handle demons he does not understand how to handle children
