The Old Gods - Vrayushu and Vashara

☼ ☼ Vrayushu ☼ ☼

Somewhat of a reductive title, Rayushu is not just the Sun God but also holds rank as the most supreme God of Life. Vrayushu is one of the five Old Gods born of something far greater than any mortal can comprehend. Most agree that he is the most sensitive of the Old Gods, always willing to help the little creatures that roam the world and see them as his own kits. Depicted as a massive tiger like creature with a burning tail of fire and glowing, molten stripes bellowing smoke from his body, cats of ginger or molten coats are said to be blessed by him.

Vrayushu is known to grant certain creatures the ability to see the future by Visions seen in the roar of the Hearth or secrets spilled by the Sunwings that inhabit their land. Other cats are born in the colors of his mate and steadily turn a more masculine color, entering his own domain under his protection.

With a title as reductive as her mate’s, Vashara is the goddess of the moon and as the most supreme Goddess of Death. One of the Old Gods, Vashaŕa is regarded as a goddess of reason and rationality. Unlike her mate, she plans for the future and often views thing analytically - though that’s not to say that she’s heartless and uncaring. She does adore the little morals she helped create - she’s just of the opinion that doing everything for them would leave them helpless.

Vashaŕa is depicted most frequently as a massive white and silver tiger with a glowing tail of blue fire and white smoke drizzling from her body. Cats with silver coats are frequently remarked to be blessed by her.
