It wasn't unusual for Jinae to take a day off from the world, her primary phone turned off and her streaming computer left untouched so that she could tear herself away. At least once a week she did such a thing, but it was never longer than a day and a half. Never.

It had been over a week. Well over a week. Message boards were filled with questions and theories as it reached week three with no sign of Jinae. Some had even gone so far as to check hospitals and funeral homes for signs of her. There was nothing. Even news websites were beginning to publish small articles on the streamer's disappearance, as it was quite odd for her. Jinae stuck to a rather strict schedule, and rarely broke it even when she was feeling sick. It was reliable when she was going to be online, and she always posted at least every other day on some of her main fan sites. The buzz was clearly a worried one from most, almost panic that she had gone so long without so much as a message to explain what was going on.

What no one knew was that her worst fear had happened. An obsessive fan had begun stalking her, though was much better about it than the last had been. He monitored her every move, noting every time she left her apartment and her typical walking path. How quiet her building always was, and just how to get past the security that was seen as rather tight. He was more than just an obsessive fan. He was a mastermind.

Jinae never saw it coming when he grabbed her one night, just as she stepped out of the back entrance to her building to go to the all night convenience store. She barely had a few moments to try and fight back before she found herself in a bedroom that was absolutely not her own. Panic immediately set in, but she couldn't move. She couldn't even scream around the gag that had been secured tightly around her head.

Eventually, she was allowed to somewhat roam around the tiny bedroom, though a heavy chain around her ankle made sure she could never reach the door. The majority of her days ended up being spent crying herself to sleep, when the 'fan' wasn't busy living out his own fantasies with her. The panic never seemed to go away, though it soon transformed into a darker panic. A much scarier one.

Her hope and strength were running out when she heard footsteps outside of the door again, curling up tightly into a ball where she sat beside the bed. In her mind, she was trying to come up with some sort of excuse, some reason to drive him away. Though, something seemed different when the door opened this time. Something was off from what she had gotten used to. Looking up, her eyes widened as she saw Mugi standing there instead, a look of relief immediately coming over her face as she pulled herself to her feet. "Mugi!"

Dear Pile 1, there're a lot to unpack here so I hope you would stay with me till the end. Firstly, I can feel your fatigue streaming through, as it seems like you're buried under all kind of house chores and errands. What you can really use right now is a helping hand, not just someone who would nod sympathically to your struggle. Many of you could just be living alone, but some might share the place with someone who have different living standards as yourself. Either case, you could cut yourself some slack by asking for help, or simply letting others help you. On a side note, you might not have been eating properly as of late. Either you eat too little, or only fuel yourself with the kind of food that has little nutritional value. Though, it appears you're fully aware of all these problems, and just have to listen to your body more. You know better than anyone when you need to take a break, when to take a sip of water, or what you crave. So, yes, you should trust yourself on that as often as possible, rather than deeming it evil whisper your inner goblin lol

Pile 2: 6 of Cups, 7 of Pentacles, 9 of Wands

As it seems, people of this pile need a lot of activities and/or stimulations during a day to feel good in general. At the same time, idleness will weight you down like a plague. Without busying yourself with something that can be considered productive throughout the day, you tend to spiral hard in your head and become restless at night. This is often the case on those days when you don't have to go out for school or work. Aren't you a workaholic high-achiever with reasonable expectations for anyone but yourself? You're much encouraged to not take your day-off for granted, spending it worrying about work. Maybe you can pick up a hobby like handcraft (f.e. knitting, origami ect.), playing an instrument or engaging in certain outdoor sports. I know it could be much when you're low on energy, so it's important to find out something you truly enjoy to keep you (or your mind) active (maybe something you can do even when lying on bed?). The progress you make with your personal project will keep you in a more positive mindset. Lastly, some of you totally should keep your daily caffeine intake in check 👀

Pile 3: 7 of Pentacles reversed, 2 of Cups, Temperance

For Pile 3, I can tell you guys are goal-oriented people, who could get impatient when your effort are not met with immediate results. The lack of progress or productivity, whether it comes from your side or other party, could frustrate you greatly and taint your day in a sullen mood. To make your life a little bit easier, it's important to turn a mental switch when you're off work. Set your priority and boundary clear, knowing that you have tried to do the most you can with the cards you're served. There's always another day to continue or try again. Besides, if you have the "all or nothing" mentality, having compromises and taking the middle road will cut you some slack. As the world is not black or white, and it's completely normal to have inconsistency in your energy level. If you have a significant other, a close friend or family member, spending quality time with them is like swallowing a health potion. Oftentimes, they act like your personally cheerleader, hyping you up and helping you feel like your effort is seen, waaayyy before it is recognized by practical results. But hey, you can start giving it to yourself, too! Start to talk about/to yourself more kindly, like you would for someone you love.

So there i was: playing bg3 last night, streaming for my sibling who's just starting to play their own run. Thought I'd show off some higher level shenanigans with my party of Naven/Tav, Astarion, Shadowheart, and Lae'zel.

Spot 3 goblins having a private drinking party and go okay, ill just have Naven as the warlock with ranged spells and Astarion with sneak attack creep close and pick them off real quick. Tell my sibling to watch cause sniping baddies is fun.

Wrong.

Suddenly, my high dex characters decide they can't hide for shit. Combat begins, and takes like 12 rounds because ig i severely underestimated these 3 goblins. 5 rounds in, both Naven and Astarion are down, next round Naven is dead.

Shadowheart and Lae'zel swoop in like the queens they are and save the boys' stupid asses, roasty toasty goblins, and combat ends with Astarion down for a 2nd time and not a single successful hide despite the camp being cluttered with cover.

After one scroll of revivify, the party is back on the road and I'm cackling imagining these men trying to brush that unequivocal failure of a stealth attack off like nothing happened. Naven takes the lead again.

And I proceed to accidentally walk through a tunnel full of landmines (with the conveniently delayed passive perception warnings from the boys coming only after everyone has taken damage), Naven goes down again, and then we attempt to escape over a tree bridge, off of which both men plummet immediately.

I love these goons. I love this game.

Also on Sat 14th Oct, @urbanfriendden runs the so-fresh it-bleeding Eat the Reich from Rowan Rook & Decard! To defeat the nazis in the Hague, rebel artists dropped the Bosch Bomb, unleashing oil paint horrors. Now, vampire agents finish the job.

A surprise Sunday session on the 15th October is a fusion of Spire and Blades in the Dark, run by yours truly!

A spiritual sequel to our previous minicampaign in Blades in the Dark, Escape to the Void Sea. Hedonist gang Smile, the Widest wade into a growing conflict between practitioners of Radio and Ocean magic.

On Sat 21st October we have Boston drag queen and AP performer Juicy Garland running Delta Green! In present-day NYC, a series of murder victims are inscribed with occult markings. Can the Agents find the killer before they strike again?

Later on Sat 21st Oct is Irregular Joe running courtroom drama RPG Justicar from Nevyn Holmes. In the name of justice, even AIs stand trial! A surreal, improvised court case with VTubers, stock photo models and... pancakes?!

Our last event day is Sat 28th Oct, featuring a channel first - a solo RPG! I'm running the coming-soon Ritual from Hive Mind Creates. I'll be chanting, inscribing and tarot reading to protect myself from demonic attack!

And our final show! Following a previous coastal horror one-shot on our channel is a sci-fi hack of Mork Borg, run by Tom Greenwood. As a planet mined to exhaustion orbits the Caged Star in its twilight years, a group of scavengers look to a space elevator to escape.

Robyn Hitchcock’s whole face/skull situation is a phrenologist’s dream, the kind of knobby high-concentrate Englishness fantasy artists love to draw as goblins or animate oak trees. It’s probably only within the particular resonating chambers of that dome that Hitchcock’s brand of pervert psychedelia could’ve formed: a stream of withering invective as clever as that of Elvis Costello but filtered through Jabberwockian riddle-speak. The key is that Hitchcock delivers his peculiar barbs (e.g. “In the physical kingdom of time / I guess that your dish is full of slime”) with such savage amusement you feel you should know what he means, and eventually you find that you sort of do. It helps also that he was as gifted a melodist as any the punk generation produced, and that Underwater Moonlight bears his most generous collection of hooks.

The Soft Boys might’ve found Cheap Trick- (or at least Raspberries-) sized success with sparkly gems like “Tonight” and “I Wanna Destroy You” if Hitchcock had the capacity to play things straight lyrically. But that’d be like imagining In the Aeroplane Over the Sea without all the jizz and Anne Frank: missing the point completely. It’s better by far to splash headlong into the alternative world where “The Queen of Eyes” topped the UK singles chart for 28 weeks and there are signs at Guitar Center warning you not to play the Arabian scale solo from “Underwater Moonlight.”

Back in our reality, the Soft Boys would break up not long after issuing an incredible final single (“Only the Stones Remain”), and Hitchcock would embark on a consistently strange and prolific solo career, while guitarist Kimberley Rew wrote himself a pretty good pension with his next project, Katrina & the Waves (a better band than you probably remember!).

BTS and Mamamoo will always be my ults, but since they are inactive, I am giving all my intense love and energy to Ateez and xikers right now. Stream Crazy Form, everyone!

You had mentioned you knew Ateez already, so here are some newer bands you might not know about.

I love love love my ten favorite nephews, the xikers. Their concept is that they are 도깨비, which you might be familiar with if you've seen Goblin/Guardian: Great and Lonely God. Their style is more mala style like Ateez and Stray Kids. I've been lucky enough to follow them since pre-debut and I am so proud of their growth even just in the last year. I even won a fan call with Hunter this spring. Their debut song is "Tricky House," which I am told is on some TikTok lists of "Worst songs of 2023," but I think the people making those lists are just Zeroses hating on other rookie bands. As for me, I think "Tricky House" is a hoot. (I guess you could say "Tricky House" inspires strong feelings?)

Speaking of Zeroses, if you like NCT you might like ZEROBASEONE, called ZB1 for short. They are also a rookie band that debuted this year after Boys Planet competition. Their debut song is called "In Bloom." It is an earworm for sure. I am not a ZEROSE but they have a passionate following.

Another rookie band that came out of Boys Planet is Evnne. I don't follow Evnne, but I really like their music. (I guess they're a little more mala than ZB1.)

Since Mamamoo isn't really active, here are some girl groups that I like that are newer:

Le Sserafim, with their amazingly titled song "Eve, Psyche, and Bluebeard's Wife"

New Jeans broke kpop containment and can be heard on mainstream American radio. I'm not a Bunny but I honor their achievement to make it bigtime in the US and play Lollapalooza.

Viviz are not rookies any more, and you can debate whether they ever were since they formed out of the ashes of G-Friend. But Eunha was my G-Friend bias and I think their music is peppy

Another newer girl group is NMIXX. I think they are vocal queens, since I distinctly remember them competently performing "Love Me Like This" a cappella when they won Show Champion. (Stan bands who perform with their mics on- no "In Ear Malfunctions" for them!)

Chapter 29: Journey to Undersea Realms

{As the sunlight streamed into the bedroom that Genevieve was sleeping in, birds were singing in their sweet melody voices. Genevieve stirred as she opened her eyes and yawned as she set up and looked around the room.}

{Geneveive} I thought I must have been dreaming, but I am not.

{There is a knock on the door as Genevieve calls out come in and Apricot with Kendra and Oberon and Titania enter the room. Genevieve quickly gets out of bed and kneels to them.}

{Titania} Please stand my champion. How did you sleep?

{Genevieve} I slept well thankyou your highness.

{Oberon} We are so pleased to hear that. Before the representees of the other Realms leave, they have gifts they want to give to you. Plus, I think you like to catch up with your cousin.

{Genevieve smiles softly at this} Thankyou. It is lovely to catch up with Alice. I haven't seen her for a while. And the other Realms don't need to give me any gifts. I am very happy to do this for you all. I know Merlin would be very proud of me.

{Oberon} He sure would be. I know my Queen and I are.

{Genevieve} Thankyou your highness.

{Titania} Apricot will help you get dressed for breakfast.

{Apricot} Come on Genevieve, let's get your ready. {She leads her over to the dressing stool and helps Genevieve gets ready as Oberon and Titania leave her to get dress as Kendra stands guard.}

{After Apricot gets Genevieve dressed, Kendra leads her to the dining hall were everyone was seated from last night as Genevieve sits next to Titania. Genevieve smiles as she and Alice catch up with each other. After breakfast, Oberon stands up and everyone goes quiet and look to Oberon as he starts to speak to them}

{Oberon} Genevieve today you start on your journey to the undersea kingdoms of the merfolk. And with this journey you on the way to helping us and fulfilling your destiny to end the Unseelie Court and The Wild Hunt. But before you start me, and my Queen and the other Realms have gifts that will help you on your journey. Realms

{He says as he looks at them as the representees stand up and hold different items. First came Gandalf the Gray and Elrond the elf with his son Legolas, with the Hobbits and Aragorn and Arwen then the Dwarf Gimli came stepping up. Gimli held a helmet as the others held bits of amour as Gandalf speaks to her.}

{Gandalf} Genevieve we of the Middle Earth thankyou from the bottom of our heart and to show our thanks we give you this armor. It's made from Dwarf steel and will protect you from the evil that is of the Wild Hunt and Unseelie Court. Wear it with honor and proudness and it will do you the strength you need to win.}

{Genevieve} Thank you very much I appreciate it and I will wear it with honor. I promise you that.

{They smile at this as Arwen hands her hand out to Genevieve as she takes it.

{Arwen} If you ever need the help of us Elves from the Middle Earth use your necklace to call us. We will come I promise.

{Genevieve nods thankyou as she smiles as Arwen smiles sweetly as she takes Aragorn hand loving.}

{Next came the goblin king Jareth and his queen Sara.}

{Jareth} Genevieve, from me and my Queen Sara our gift from the Realm of Labyrinth we give you these Crystel Balls use them when you need the help that you can't find.

{Sara hands a case of nine Crystel Balls over to her as she takes them and gasp at the beauty of them.}

{Genevieve} Wow they are so beautiful. Thankyou.

{They smile as they step back and Dorthey and Toto and the Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Lion step in front of her.}

{Dorthey} The Realm of OZ can't thankyou enough for your noble help. The evils of OZ are gathering in force and me and my friends can't hold them back for ever. Our gift to you is the gift of hope. Don't you give up hope no matter how hopeless the problem is. When you have hope, anything is possible. {She then kisses her forehead. When she steps back a mark from the kiss is on her forehead.} This is the mark of hope. Let it fill you with hope that will never end.}

{After they step back Aslan with the 4 siblings Peter, Edward, Susan and Lucy. Susan holds out a horn made from bone.}

{Aslan} Genevieve brave noble kind and loyal, let your heart guide you down the right path and from that path you will never stray. The Realm of Narina gives you this horn. Use it when you in an emergency and need help.}

{Sausan hands her the horn as Genevieve looks at it in amazement.}

{Peter} We stand by you all the way to the end, me and my siblings. {The others nod at this}

{Next came Peter and Wendy as she holds out a small glass jar of Pixie Dust.}

{Peter} We of Never Neverland thank you for helping us. As a gift we give this Pixie Dust. But for it to work you also need faith and trust. Use it wisely Genevieve}

{Geneveive takes the jar as she thanks them kindly as Alice and her friend's come forward.}

{Alice} Cousin I understand how you feel. How you worried that you let us all down but if I know you which I should, I know you will do wonderful things as well as succeed in saving us. As a gift from Wonderland, we want to give you the gift of you finding your muchness. You will need it to defeat the Unseelie Court and Wild Hunt. I can't be more prouder of you cousin. {She smiles as she hugs Genevieve who hugs back.}

{Geneveive} Thankyou cousin.

{Alice smiles at this as she lets King Oberon and Queen Titania step forward}

{Titania} Genevieve these are the gifts of the Realms, and they will help you on your way. Use them well. Our gift to you is that you have Fairyland and Avalon trust and loyalty. We will follow you to our very last breaths we will. You have our trust and that is the most valuable gift of the fairy you could ever have.}

{Genevie smiles as Kendra stands next to her.}

{Kendra} Let's get these in the saddle bags as Shadow is waiting for you and if you are going to arrive there you better leave shortly.

{Genevieve nods at this as she goes to grab some food to put in her bag when Ash walks up to her.}

{Ash} You be careful right? Promise me that please Genevieve. I can't bare it if you are hurt.

{Genevieve smiles playfully at him} Why Ash are you worried about me?

{Ash nervously} Worried? No not worried. Defiantly not worried. More like concerned. Thats, it concerned.

{Genevieve chuckling} Of course you are Ash. Don't worry I promise to be careful. Besides you're not bad compared to the other Suiters that my family tries to get me to marry. {She says as she quickly kisses him on the cheeks to his surprise. When he looks at her, she smiles softly as she turns back to packing her bag. The others smile at this as Lindir leans over to Oberon and whispers in his ears.

{Lindir} Looks like my son and Genevieve have a eye for each other. If we are luckily enough they and wed, we will have a foot in both worlds if that happens.

{Oberon} Yes so it does.

{Titania} But if she does wed how will keep her life in the real world and in this world at the same time?

{Albina} We just have to watch and wait to see but you are right they definitely have feelings blossoming around them.

{After Genevieve packs some food and Kandra arranges for her gifts to packed into the saddle bags, she and the others lead Genevieve to the front of the castle were Shadow was waiting for her. Shadow neighs in delight as he sees her and Genvieve hands him more of the peppermint flowers as he carefully nibbles them from her hand.}

{Kendra} Your amour will be here for you when you get back. Now this map will lead you to the ocean coasts. Stay on the marked path I have worked out for you. {She hands Genevieve the map as she takes it and climbs up on Shadow.}

{Kendra} And Genevieve, whatever you do don't EVER go to the west side of the forests. Wait for us. If the Unseelie and Wild Hunt see that you are on your own, they will kill you without a thought. Be safe Genevieve and come back to us. Now go with the grace and speed of the Oberon and Titania.

{Genevieve nods at this as she gently nudges Shadows side as he rearing up neighing loudly and gallops off down the path as Genevieve turns her head to see everyone including her cousin watching with hopeful eyes.}

{Alice} Be safe cousin

{Genevieve smiled and waved at her cousin Alice as she rode off on Shadow towards the ocean coasts. She felt a mixture of excitement and determination as she embarked on her journey to the undersea kingdoms of the merfolk. The gifts she had received from the representatives of the various realms filled her with gratitude and confidence.

As she rode along the marked path on the map provided by Kendra, Genevieve couldn't help but think about the responsibilities that lay ahead. She knew that the Unseelie Court and The Wild Hunt posed a great threat, not only to her world but to all the realms. It was her destiny to confront and end their reign of darkness.

The armor made of Dwarf steel, given by Gandalf and Elrond, served as a symbol of protection and strength. Genevieve wore it with honor, knowing that it would aid her in her battle against the evil forces. She also carried the Crystel Balls from Jareth and Sara, which she admired for their beauty and understood their significance in times of need.

The mark of hope left by Dorothy from the Realm of Oz reminded Genevieve to never give up hope, no matter how dire the situation may seem. She cherished the gift and felt a renewed sense of determination within her. The horn from Aslan and the siblings from Narnia would serve as her beacon of guidance in times of emergency, while the Pixie Dust from Peter and Wendy would work alongside her faith and trust.

The gift of finding her muchness from Alice and the loyalty and trust of Fairyland and Avalon bestowed upon her by Oberon and Titania further fueled Genevieve's spirit. She was grateful for the support and encouragement she received from everyone, and she couldn't help but feel a growing connection with Adonis, whose concern for her safety touched her heart.

As Genevieve rode on, she couldn't help but think about the future and the possibility of wedded bliss with Adonis. She knew there were challenges ahead, balancing her life in the real world and her role in these magical realms, but for now, she focused on the task at hand.

With Shadow's graceful and swift movements, they covered the distance towards the ocean coasts. Genevieve was determined to make a difference, to fulfill her destiny, and to bring an end to the Unseelie Court and The Wild Hunt. She knew the journey wouldn't be easy, but with the support and gifts bestowed upon her, she had the strength and resources to face the challenges that awaited her.

As she rode onward, the wind carrying her towards the unknown, Genevieve couldn't help but feel a surge of confidence. She was ready to embrace her destiny and bring light to the realms once more.}

- The part of Gilded Helianthia where Pearl rule was a city-state..

- Lord Sausage and Pearl are cousins..

- Katherine and Jimmy are cousins, due to their surnames being implied to be hyphenated, Elizabeth-”Gaming” and Solidarity-”Gaming”..

- Sausage and Shelby are haft-siblings, I just like their dynamic..

Gem's kingdom is really cute. Just saying it now, I adore sunrise and sunset colors, I hope she somehow incorporates magenta and pink into her build pallette which are underrated sunset and sunrise colors, the pink and purple being the colors right between night and day, dusk and dawn.

The soul fire will-o-the-wisp is a nice touch for lore.

I hope she and Katherine get into a Princess quest thing soon. Afaik they're canonically the only self-identifying princesses of the server.

Tony Stark is one of the most badass bikers this side of Queens. Well, one of the most badass bikers with a flower tattoo on his heart. It's seriously messing with his street cred. No badass biker has a dainty thin marigold intertwined with a begonia on his chest. He needs it gone. 

 That's how he ended up here. In lower Queens on a tattoo chair at Winter's Ink. Bucky Barnes, the best tattoo artist around sits next to him holding the gun, ready to change the art on the man's chest. "Are you sure you want to try to do this?" 

 "Yes. Get rid of the fucking thing. I'd like to be perceived as a badass and not a sissy." Tony sits back, glancing down at the purple line art printed over his chest.

 "Tony, there is nothing 'sissy' about having a flower soul mark. Steve and I have tattoos of stars. There's nothing badass about stars, Tony." 

 

 "But your love is written in the stars or whatever," Tony dismisses, "Let's do this!"

 "Okay, but know I have never tattooed over soul marks before. I have only done the skin around it. I can't bring myself to do it!" Bucky tries, ignoring the sound of the front bell for a moment.

 "Well, you are now. Do you know why? Fuck soulmates. My parents were "matchy-matchy" or whatever the fuck people call it and they fought the entire time. My father hated my mother and it was hell for everyone involved. Soulmates are stupid, it doesn't matter, and it's a myth. They're just birthmarks." Tony lays on his back, huffing out a breath. 

 He looks toward the counter, meeting eyes with the prettiest boy he's ever seen as Bucky preps the gun and pulls on a fresh pair of gloves.

 "Hi, Mr Barnes! I have an order of flowers for you from Mr Rogers!"

 "Hey, Peter. I can't come to get them, honey, I'm gloved in, but would you mind bringing them back to the counter?" The artist smiles, turning on the gun.

 "Sure!" Peter steps behind the counter, picking up the container of yellow roses. 

 Just as he does, Bucky begins inking the wings over the marigold. Tony flinches as the gun passes over the stem of the flower, a long black line appearing in its wake. The sound of shattering glass fills the air, breaking his flinch. Bucky pulls back, thankful for his steady hands not messing up the line, and finds Peter doubled over, hand grasping at his heart. "FUCK!" The boy yelps and cries out. causing the older men to look at him confused.

 "What was that?!" Bucky asks, setting the gun down and removing his black latex gloves. He stands up, carefully approaching the young florist. The boy tries righting himself, grabbing at his chest again, tears streaming down his cheeks. 

 "I- I don't know! It feels like I was stabbed in the chest!" 

 

 "What? Are you okay?" Bucky attempts to help the kid step away from the broken glass and fallen flowers on the black and white floor. 

 "Clearly he's not okay, Buck. The kid's doubled over in pain!" Tony tries to move, feeling the pain of the tattoo all over again, just as Peter doubles back over. 

 The long-haired man leads Peter over to the black booth lining the wall. He pushes Peter's glasses back up on his nose and asks, "What happened, hun? I don't think Stevie requested you throw his flowers on the floor." 

 "I'm sorry! I will replace them before the end of the day! I just need a second, I didn't mean to drop them!" Peter covers.

 "You're alright! Clearly something happened, but it's okay now." Bucky rises, washing his hands again, and re-preps to continue Tony's Tattoo. "If Tony's okay with it, you're more than welcome to hang here with us until you feel better. 

 "I'm fine with it. Just sit there and have a staring contest with me." Tony smiles and glances at Bucky, "Ready to go back to covering this up?"

 "Yeah. Maybe Peter can talk you out of covering up your soulmark."

 "You wanna cover your soulmark?!" Peter parrots, staring at Tony with offence. "Why would you want to get rid of it?"

 "Let's just say I don't have good experience with it." 

 "Alright, get ready... Deep breath for me, T..." Bucky turns the gun back on, and brings it to the skin again, starting in a different place this time, closer to the man's pec. As though like clockwork, the moment that the gun reconnected with the skin around Tony's reactor, Peter's doubled over again. "Wait..." Bucky blinks a couple of times, touching the gun to the skin further away from his sternum, lining another section of the wings.

 "What are you doing, Buck? Usually, you start on one side and work across." Tony murmurs lowly.

 "I know, but watch him when I touch different places," Bucky whispers back. He touches the gun to the biker's chest, noting Tony's flinching and pain levels while also listening for the boy's pained cries. 

 "Hey, Peter? I have a weird question for you." Tony begins, knowing this could be the worst mistake of his life if he's wrong. The boy glances up, meeting Tony's brown eyes. eyebrows furrowed. "What is your soulmark?"

 "I thought you didn't care about those. Also, that's kind of an invasive question." He replies, watching Bucky tattoo everywhere but the center of his chest, silently thanking the man for his mercy. 

 "I know, but humor me, I mean, I am getting hundreds of needle sticks into my chest repeatedly," Tony smirks, trying his best to give the boy a challenging look through his pained expression. 

 "It's nothing special, just two flowers around the center of my..." His word trail off when it connects in his head. "Wait." He unbuttons his shirt, showing the man the two flowers circling the center of his chest, about the size of the arc reactor in the other man's chest. "Holy fuck."

 "Holy fuck is right. I guess that explains Bucky's question from earlier... it DOES pain your soulmate if you try to cover your tattoo." 

 "Hm. So, do you want to finish it?" Bucky asks, "I can work around the flowers... the ink isn't sticking to them anyway. It just lays on the surface and comes off whenever I wipe a towel on it." 

 "Sure, just work around them I guess. I'd hate to pain someone I'm looking at just because I'm vain." 

 "It'd probably help to get to know each other I suppose... I mean, you are my soulmate after all..." 

 “That’s probably a good idea. How about I take you out when we’re done here?” Tony offers, distracting himself from the sting of the gun against his chest. 

 “I’d be honored.” Peter smiles, “Hey, uh, Bucky? Do you happen to have a broom I can borrow so I can sweep up this mess?”

 “In the back room, by the alley door. Help yourself!” Peter nods, disappearing into the staff area, leaving the two men to continue in silence. 

 “God dammit I guess I have to believe in soulmates after all…” Tony falls back against the chair, defeated.

 “It would seem so.” The man smiles as Bucky laughs. Maybe flowers aren't so bad after all.
