Being an earlier prototype of Conan the Barbarian most of the sotories are just straight up worse versions of later Conan stories.

There's about a dozen or so stories yet they all end up repeating themselves a lot. Probably a result of how they were/weren't published.

Like a full 50% are about scheming nobles sneaking into the palace to kill Kull and Kull beating the shit out of them.

Conan gets a lot of pre-kingship adventuring stories but every Kull story involves him being king so when he decides unseal ancient evils and plunder their cursed treasure he has a full royal court coming along with him telling him this is a bad idea.

Conan also gets to have a sexuality whereas Kull is wrtten to show how resiliant he is to the manipulating charms of womankind.

This comes off as very gay.

The only type of women in the Empire of Valusia are whiny teenage noblewomen.

The only type of political issue Kull everdeals with involve said whiny teenage noblewomen running off and having affairs.

For all Robert E. Howard loves to prattle about the degeneracy of civilisation, the only example of this he can throw out is scheming noblemen plotting to assassinate Kull. Which doesn't really contrast well with Kull since he also assassinated the last king.

The best story is The Cat and the Skull. Kull gets tricked into diving into a cursed lake full of seamonsters on the advice of a talking cat.

I think the best way to read Kull stories is to imagine them as a strongman dictator's propaganda puff-pieces. That's why the writer is so concerned with describing Kull as strong and virile. That's why every second story is about a consiracy to murder Kull. That's why they never discuss any of Kull's actual policy decisions.

Hi there. We have a strict policy regarding confessions like this because rumors develop, people  ALWAYS take things out of context etc. Since doing this blog I have seen this time and time again....people start the "BioWare is dying cycle". Gross rumors are perpetuated and 9 out of 10 times they end up to be wrong and instead of owning up to being mistaken many people in this fandom just dig in and repeat the same crap.

And honestly there is enough that on Tumblr and we are not going to contribute to it.

And this vitriol even goes back to Origins.  I was around during Origins development. Back then, there were hardcore Bauldar's Gate fans that wanted BioWare to die. This all goes back to one thing...hating change. Bioware is also over 20 years old.  Some people refuse to accept that they've changed over time. Change is part of life.

People also leave jobs all the time. The last person who left recently left on his own accord and spoke highly of DA4's development. A copy of an e-mail was posted. The person spoke positively and highly of the next game.  They were extremely honest and open in their tweets. And people in this fandom still revel in spreading rumors and consiracy theories. Also there is a difference between "the" lead designer "a" lead designer

And yes people do have the right to dislike EA but when some people want to see companies fail that are under EA its taking it too far. (An NO I'm not implying you want this confessor)

People leave jobs ALL THE TIME further pursue their goals/path.  The days of staying in one place does NOT exist anymore in most fields. This is not 1969. Its 2019.

I would encourage everyone to be leery of headlines pronouncing doom and gloom upon BioWare. These headlines click very well. In general, any YouTube post or article with a headline that predicts BioWare's end is just using normal news to fish for clicks/views because it works.

It's not in their interests to give you the facts straight; in most cases it is literally their job to evoke whatever emotion in you will get you to click on this article and then on the next one and the next one, convinced that BioWare's days are numbered and that Dragon Age 4 will be an EA-mismanaged disaster. Right now, there is no actual reason to believe so. Don't panic.

So that's all we're saying on the subject. I am turning everything off for the time being because my brother and brother in law both got their wisdom teeth removed earlier today at the same time and I am taking care of both of them because they are my family and they come first.

Last nights dream was one i’ve sort of had before

I went to a tattoo place that did their tattoos outside? and it was sorta in combo with a pool, which absolutely does not makes sense

okay actually now that I’m typing this out i’n remembering more about my deam.

it started out in a two story house with a weird layout. I think we were moving in but the previous owners hadn’t quite moved out just yet. this becomes irrelavent. My dad, grandma, mother , brother, and only 2 of my sisters are there.

We started to make dinner but something happened and my mom got severely hurt, I think she burt her hands while grabbing something from the oven because flames had erupted or smth.

So while my grandma? takes her to the hospital, I’, left in charge to finish dinner. I get irritated because despite there being 4 other capable people, no one helps me, and what my mom had in the oven is now messed up and inedible.

I leave and go to visit my mom at the hospital, then I’m at a school or something? I meet up with a therapist and have a mini session with them. Then, another person comes over. She is a tall woman with classes and long brown hair. She has a very distinct nose. The therapist leaves and i am left with this woman. I don’t know her name but i know that we’re in a secret relationship.. I’m gonna skip the rest of this bc i kinda don’t remember

Then my dream goes to the tattoo place. Like i said, it is outdoors. There are only two artists there. Now that I’m awake, I remember I’ve been there before, but in my dream I only had a vague recollection of the place. One of the artists is a thick man with a black cap and shirt. His beard is longish and a light brown/caramel color. He is kind. The other artist is a woman with a short black bob, she is pale and outwardly cold, but still kind and patient. I only observe them from afar. There is another lady who is about to be tattooed by them, she has light brown skin, black straight hair, and a round face.

She is instructed to go to one of the outdoor showers, bathe, dry, and come back. I think i followed her just to see what i should do? I end up mimicing her, but not ggetting tattooed

The last thing i remember is being by a pake, I sit in a play area. As i’m leaving, three little boys come up to me. one of thee asks, “ are you a conspiracy theorist?” I look at them, confused, and say “what?” two of them speak over eachother, “ are you a conspiracy theorist? why do you like consiracy theories?” I giggle and tell them its because nothing scares me any more. “ghosts? nah thye just don’t do it anymore”

All these events were seamless together They feel so confusing but also like they are meant to be together
