The Haunting of Wat Samian Nari.
The sisters are believed to have been crushed by a train until their bodies were torn in two in front of Wat Samian Nari temple, Chatuchak, Bangkok in the 1990s, Their spirits haunt people at night, especially taxi drivers. Most often it is said that a taxi picks up the two sisters in black from entertainment district, Ratchadapisek Road or RCA in the middle of the night (past midnight).
Legend has it that, once, the beautiful Thipsuksri sisters (names Chulee Thipsuksri, and Sulee Thipsuksri) asked a cab driver to take them to the Wat Samian Nari temple. He thought they would go home after the hangout, but he noticed that they sat quietly, not speaking to each other or even reciprocating with him, giving only terse replies to his attempts to chat them up.They looked sad, so the driver gave up asking for their numbers. He thought the pretty girls must have had a terrible day. Given their black clothing, he assumed they were going to grieve for a relative at the temple. As the taxi approached the destination, he turned to ask where they wanted him to park. But they were gone.
Shocked, confused, and in disbelief, he looked around for the girls. That’s when he saw them about 10 meters away, crawling on the train tracks that ran past the temple. Well, not all of them – only their top halves, pulling their torsos along the tracks, their entrails dragging behind.
The driver passed out. Next thing he knew, he was waking up at Kasemrad Hospital. His parents said he’d been found unconscious. No one believed his story, including the doctor, who said he must have been drunk.
Afterwards, the driver said that he developed heart trouble and never returned to the area. Many such similar cases have been reported since.
