Can I say I’m tentatively looking forward to Ship of Dreams? The backgrounds look like they’re gonna be gorgeous. This new MC face is really pretty. And the drawings for these outfits don’t look too bad either. Hopefully, they’ll look nice in game

Okay, I caved and downloaded Romance Club😭😭 Does anyone have any good story recommendations? I'm still gonna be on Choices and post Choices content (and finish off the books on my reading list). I just feel like I need to stop relying on one storytelling app

Kali: Call of Darkness: 9/10; love the MC, the characters, the story progression, the Dozen lore, replayability, etc. but gets a point off for its problematic depiction of Indian culture and Hinduism) tbh it deserves an extra point or two off because I despise the way Remy clearly wrote from a Eurocentric perspective, but this is also the first RC book I read after the slew of mid Choices books so I got attached unfortunately

Theodora: 9.6/10; I got the ending where I was only able to save my soul and it made me sad 😭 the story was well written but there were parts where I was just a lil bored. At least, that’s how I felt initially before I became obsessed with the book. It's objectively amazing etc. but I feel kinda robbed from screentime with the OG characters if that makes sense? Either way the writer did a great job writing them into the plot in later seasons and the MC is so amazing I love her <3 it’s not easy to write the progression of multiple relationships already but to have a different set of likable LIs every season is incredible!

Arcanum: 9.8/10; THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD omg I love how the plot came full circle and the MC was interesting and well-written (her character design was also top tier). It's such a unique concept for a book I love it. I feel like S3 could have gone by a lil quicker (along with a couple of other nitpicky things) but that could just be because S2 was so full of action

Heaven's Secret: 9.9/10; I just started its sequel, but I was pleasantly surprised at how engaging this book was! I like the gradual progression from being a new student to slowly learning the truth behind your death and about the academy. The final battle scene was super cool, and I feel like everything had a logical explanation (ex. Shepha only having power over light). I also like the different pathways of being an Angel, Demon, or Harmony Bearer (which I was!) it was really fun and seems like a replayable book <3

Why you don’t have to worry about RC shutting down

Lately I have been seeing a lot of talk about RC shutting down. I want to smooth everyone’s fear with it by giving reasons of why they aren’t shutting down and an extra tidbit of why storyscape shut down (since I saw one post that brought it up and once I found out the reason of why it made barely any sense)

This is not even speculation, someone just decided to make a post complaining about people wanting DRs right away. They used RC’s finances as a reason for why people should stop complaining.

Other promotional deals, back when RC started doing DRs they would also did free diamonds and teacups events for specific books but that has stopped. I think that those events with those books were not profitable but DRs are so they continued them.

There are different standards of living in the world, that might seem like a no brained but someone compared RC’s profits (a Maldova base company) to that of three American companies and one German. I am only focusing on America because that is where I am from and have the best knowledge on. Even in my country the prices can change drastically, at my university which is in Rhode Island there is a chain store called insomniac cop lies and it was $5 cheaper here than the ones in Boston. I am saying this because imagine how drastic the change would be if insomniacs were in Moldova when a state change changes that much. I checked, a gallon of milk over there cost ~$3 while here it costs ~$6 and according to that same source as well there is a 87% decrease of Moldova’s rent compared to the US. Which means that RC would have to make less than the American companies to stay afloat.

Storyscape was a unique case of shutting down, storyscape was owned by Fox which is how they made series about The X-Files and added characters from Titanic because at the time Fox owned those titles. As many of you know Disney bought Fox but what many of you don’t know is that Disney does not want to develop their own games so when they buy out a company they close any game development under that company including storyscape

This Theodora update was so beautiful, one of the best in a while. I think Theodora recovered with this update the quality of the first season.

Good to hear! I can't wait to finish playing this update. Theo has become one of my favorite stories, it's comforting, the pacing is good and has very good LIs.

And it brought back a very good feeling that I only felt reading Titanic by Storyscape (RIP). Of reading a real, physical book. Idk how explain 😢

I thought Dirty Little Secrets would be based off Pretty Little Liars but the title font / design is throwing me off. Maybe something cabaret/Moulin Rouge related???

Ship of Dreams... Titanic.... they've gotten bold since Storyscape kicked the bucket lmao. Bet they're gonna reuse D&D faces and have tons of D&D and TUH characters as backgrounders. But it's something we've already seen many times, again, how will they keep it fresh???

Haven't played Guinevere yet, but it confuses me why they're choosing these types of retelling stories where so much is already familiar and set in stone? Creatively it feels very cheap and lazy. Wish they'd take more risks and creative freedom, especially for stories that have romance as a sub-genre...

Titanic based VIP in autumn (northern hemisphere) um what.. still won’t be anywhere near Storyscapes story I’m guessing. I’m still salty about them being shut down. 😢

Also I’m guessing unbridled is the friend and the brothers story from untameable with added customisation opinions plus maybe the brother can switch to a sister of the mc of the previous book?

I'm finally caught up on SoD, and as someone who's been interested in the RMS Titanic for years now... this is honestly the most invested I've been in the story so far. Granted, I'm focusing more on diamond mining right now and I'm just burnt out on the romance stories in general, so I do intend to replay this after it's all done, but if you're going to make a story set during one of the most tragic events in history, don't just copy Jack and Rose! Even Storyscape (RIP) didn't just copy Jack and Rose, and Jack and Rose were in that story! And I know there's only so much you can do with a setting like this, especially considering the timing of everything, but I really would've loved it if this had been a muti PoV story, each representing a member of a different class and how their stories intertwine before it all culminates during that fateful, freezing night.
