ND34 New Environment!
What we know/theorize:
1️⃣. HeR Interactive employee confirms (in a group chat that I’m in) the character model is NOT an actual character. It is just a background character.
2️⃣. The laptop is NANCY’S laptop and is very important to game 34’s case (according to Calina of storyretold - former HeR employee). She says that it will be vital to the case and we will continue to come back to “that laptop.”
3️⃣. We are only seeing “half of the room,” according to Calina. I wonder what the other half will include? Maybe it’s in reference to the arches that are blurred???
4️⃣. This is a tech store or room of sorts. I think this is important to the theme “hacking” that we were given in early April. Somehow, Nancy has to help hack using her laptop I feel…
But that’s about it for now. Will continue to update.

The monolith key
I cannot recall if I posted this somewhere in the Nancy Drew tumblr universe or not or possibly I made a comment on a YouTube video (maybe StoryRetolds’ reaction video to Arglefumph’s Everything Wrong With Nancy Drew Secret of the Scarlet Hand video) but I do not understand the way Nancy has to rotate the monolith key to insert it into the monolith (or rather the animation that happens when Nancy is solving that puzzle). Couldn’t she just figure out which side has to be facing out on which side and turn it to that side and insert it? Why does it have to be this odd disembodied (I know we aren’t supposed to see Nancy because we , the player, are supposed to “be” Nancy, but still) rotation (four times, so it gets tedious) of the key as it gets inserted into the monolith. If it was like a Rubiks cube and it had to be green side facing out, you would just rotate it to green and put it facing that way out. I’ve never understood that part of the game. I realize that all these things I have been posting about to do with Nancy Drew games lately make it seem like I don’t like the games that much. I do, there are just certain parts of the games that I don’t understand or like, for a variety of reasons. I have been a Nancy Drew game fan since I was around 20 - 21 and I will be turning 40 at the end of next month.
